Chapter 47: Ito (3)

Ying Ying looked out the window warily.

The moonlight, like water, was shining on the frame of the lattice window, turning into a Z-shape, winding down the wall, and the window was full of black mountain shadows.

Who was talking? She dared to step out of bed gently.

He stood down in front of the window, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and slammed the window open with his right hand......

With a "plop", a wild duck sleeping in the grass was awakened by this sudden movement and jumped into the ditch and swam away.

Ying Ying was so nervous that her heart was beating wildly, but she was relieved to see that it was a duck.

A cold gust of air rushed towards her, and she shivered in the humid and cool climate in the mountains.

Ying Ying hugged her body with her arms and poked her head out to see if there was someone under the window.

Living in the mountains and forests for a long time, she has become accustomed to this dark and quiet environment, and Yingying can see everything clearly.

Outside the window, there was no sign of anyone.

Everything was silent, except for the occasional owl howl.

Ying Ying thought to herself, strange, she had just heard someone talking outside the window.

The voice seemed to be calling someone, very resentful and desolate.

Could it be that this mountain is haunted?

Anyway, it's not a bad thing, I'm not afraid of ghosts knocking on the door, I'll take a look.

She was about to poke her head out of the window again to look when she heard a knock on the door of her room.

The sudden knock on the door in the dark night startled her.

She remembered the saying 'ghosts knocking on the door', and although she hadn't done anything bad, she still had goosebumps.

The knock on the door rang again, accompanied by Mrs. Ito's voice, "Yingying, you ok?"

Ying Ying hurriedly opened the door and saw Mrs. Ito standing outside the door in her pajamas, yawning and holding a flashlight in her hand.

It turned out that she heard some noise in Yingying's room and felt uneasy, so she came up to check.

Thinking that she was scaring herself, Ying Ying said to her embarrassedly, "I'm ok, sorry."

Mrs. Ito saw that Yingying was okay and left.

After Mrs. Ito left, Ying Ying still had some palpitations, she closed the lattice window tightly, plugged in the window lock, and then returned to the bed.

She was sullen in her heart, and felt that what had just happened was very strange.

Is it really my own hallucination? Or is there something special in this mountain?

Ying Ying remembered what her grandmother told her before, the legend of Huang Daxian and Fox Daxian in the mountains and forests of Northeast China.

She felt uneasy in her heart, feeling that something was about to happen......

I won't be targeted by anything again, thinking of this, her hand couldn't help but touch the jade pendant on her chest, and held it tightly in the palm of her hand.

She didn't dare to sleep anymore, leaned against the head of the bed, gently bit her upper lip, and sat quietly in the dark for half an hour.

The voice didn't come again......

An hour passed, and the sound still didn't come back......

She folded her arms around her knees, afraid to sleep, but she couldn't resist the tide of sleepiness.

Finally, she couldn't stay up anymore and fell asleep again.

In her dream, she fell into a vast ocean, and it was pitch black all around......

The next morning, the sun poured into the room without reservation, through the lattice window, like a fishnet over the sleeping face of the girl.

There were a few tear stains on his face, as if they were a few footprints left by a small snail crawling.

Ying Ying opened her eyes and heard the sound of people walking around downstairs busily, and found that it was already morning.

She got up with a grunt, washed her face, brushed her teeth, and picked up the school uniform that Mrs. Ito had asked her to try on last night.

The school uniform is a navy blue skirt suit with white stripes on the skirt and neckline, and the school name is embroidered on the chest.

Ying Ying stretched her legs into the narrow skirt and buttoned the button on her waist, just right.

Dressed neatly, she walked down the creaking stairs and smelled a scent in her face.

I saw Mrs. Ito, wearing a light green kimono with sleeves and a neat bun, walking out of the kitchen.

When she saw Yingying, she immediately burst into a gentle smile, nodded and said a few words of Fusang language, as if she was complimenting the school uniform for fitting.

When she came to the restaurant, Yingying saw several white plain porcelain plates on the table.

Porcelain plates hold fried eggs and fried ham, and several wooden bowls hold milky oatmeal.

There were also two empty glasses on the table, and a large bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice.

Yingying has loved oranges since she was a child, and when she saw the orange-red color, she felt a sense of happiness and a smile on her face.

Mr. Ito had already gone to work, and Mrs. Ito beckoned Ying Ying to sit down, and hurriedly dialed the food into her plate.

After 24 hours of hungry travel on the road, she was finally able to eat a decent meal, and Ying Ying felt very satisfied and grateful.

After breakfast, Ying Ying hurriedly ran upstairs.

I made an appointment with Xiaohai at the time of separation last night, and we will meet at the tram stop in Okuyugawa at 10 o'clock this morning.

She took off her school uniform and folded it, and grabbed a white T-hoodie and jeans from the closet to change into.

Then she went downstairs and explained to Mrs. Ito that she was going out.

Mrs. Ito looked a little uneasy, put down the work in her hand, and sent Yingying all the way to the station.

"Ito-san, good morning, my name is Xiaohai, please take care of me. Xiao Hai was walking out of the station, greeting him in Fuso with great energy.

Mrs. Ito also greeted Xiaohai kindly, and the two chatted a little before leaving with a smile.

Xiaohai studied the map in the station, and saw that Yingying and Brother Qiang were looking at him with strange eyes, so he asked, "What's wrong with you two?"

"Alas, I said Xiaohai, you are a 'real person who doesn't show up'. Brother Qiang quipped.

"What's wrong with me?" said Xiaohai, his eyes still looking at the map.

"What's the matter, when did you learn the authentic Fusang language?"
