Chapter 2 Future Seniors

Evan calmed down and followed his parents into the house.

The first thing he saw was Mr. Vernon Desley, dressed in a tuxedo-gown and bow tie, and Dudley, who was as strong as a pig.

"Good evening!"

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Mason. Dudley had a disgustingly contrived smile on his face, "Shall I carry the clothes for you?"

"Thank you, kid!" Aven's mother pulled Aven, who was hiding behind her, out and introduced him to Dudley, "This is our little Evan, he is also going to Smetin Middle School this year, you will have to take care of him in school in the future." ā€

"It is my pleasure, ma'am!"

Seeing that Dudley seemed to want to give him a hug, Evan hurriedly took a half step back, dodging the other party, and he followed his parents into the living room, quietly looking around as he said polite words.

For today's party, the room was clearly carefully tidyed.

Not far away, the kitchen smelled strong, with today's dinner pudding on top of the fridge, a pile of cream cakes and frosted violets on the table, and a large piece of roast sizzling in the oven.

However, this was not what Evan was looking for, as as described in the book, there was nothing Harry Potter-related in the house, and it was clear that the Dursleys did not want outsiders to know about their unusual nephew.

The corners of Aiwen's mouth turned up slightly, and the poor child should have quietly hid in the small room upstairs at this time, without making a sound, so as to pretend that he was not at home.

Thinking of this, he felt compelled to do something.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Dursley. Evan interrupted a boring joke from a Japanese golfer, "You know, I don't visit people's homes very often, I'm curious about everything here, and if you don't mind, I'd like to ask Dudley to walk around with me before dinner." ā€

"No problem, let Dudley accompany you to his room and see his new console. As if given Evan's age and inability to comprehend the jokes, Vernon Dursley readily agreed, "Go play, boys, and I'll have Petunia come up and call you when it's time for dinner." ā€

Dudley reluctantly accompanied Evan out of the living room, as the plan was to stay and continue to compliment the Masons with those meaty words, rather than wander around the house with a little child.

In particular, he has to restrain himself and leave a good impression on the other party. It was a difficult task for Dudley.

The two went up to the second floor, and as Darley introduced his new game console, Evan curiously looked at a small room at the end of the hallway, the door shut.

"What is that place?"

"It's nothing, that's my cousin's room, he's not home now. ā€

Dudley's expression was a little unnatural, "Let's hurry to my room and I'll show you"

Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by a loud banging sound from the small room. The next second, before he could stop it, he saw the boy next to him walk up and open the door.

Evan opened the door, and by the dim light, he saw a boy about his own standing in front of the closet.

The boy was a small man, with bright green eyes, unkempt black hair, and a slender lightning-bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.

Harry Potter looked surprised, he had just hidden the house-elf Dobby when the door was opened, and unexpectedly, it was not Aunt Vernon who entered, but a boy he had never seen before.

"Good evening, you must be Dudley's cousin, I'm Evan Mason, it's a pleasure to meet you!"

Evan stretched out his right hand, his heart filled with joy, finally seeing you, Harry Potter.

"You, hello, my name is Harry Potter, and it's nice to meet you. Harry hesitated, then reached out and shook Aven's hand.

If he was not mistaken, the other party should have come to visit the rich builder's child today, Harry was not sure if he should have been in contact with the other party, according to Uncle Vernon's arrangement, he should have stayed in the room and kept quiet, pretending that he was not there.

Harry had been listening to Aunt Vernon for two weeks about the importance of today's dinner, and if it was messed up, he couldn't imagine how difficult his days would be.

Outside the door, Dudley was urging the boy named Evan to get out of here, and although it was a bad feeling, Harry had to admit that it was the only thing he agreed with during his summer vacation, especially since there was a house-elf in the closet next to him who was not suitable for Muggles to see.

Evan didn't seem to hear Dudley's urging, and his attention turned entirely to the birdcage next to the window, which contained a snow-white owl.

"It's a pure white owl, that's pretty cool!" Evan turned to Harry and asked, "What's its name?"

"Hedwig, it's my pet. Harry quietly closed the door that was opening.

"I would also like a pet like this, but unfortunately my mom is allergic to birds. Evan turned to look at Hedwig, "Can I feed him?"

"No problem, but I don't have food. Harry sighed, and Aunt Vernon wouldn't let him let Hedwig out to feed. In fact, Harry had been saving some of his dinner to feed each other this summer.

"What does it eat, I saw downstairs in the kitchen, there are a lot of them"

"Aven, mom told us to go down to dinner!" Before Evan could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Dudley, who seemed to have finally mustered up the courage to enter Harry's room and try to save Evan from him.

"Okay, I think I can come back after dinner. ā€

Evan followed Dudley two steps, and when he saw that Harry didn't mean to move, he said a little strangely, "Harry, aren't you going with us?"

"I—I'm not going, I've already had dinner!"

Harry's stomach felt empty, but he was sure that Aunt Petunia wouldn't be happy to see her at the table.

"Let's go, even if you're done, you can have some dessert. Evan stepped forward and grabbed Harry's arm, and continued, "Then we can get something together and feed Hedwig, I think it's starving!"

"You can't do that, he can't go down to eat with us. Dudley hurriedly stopped Aven.

"Why, isn't he your cousin?"

"Yes, but," Dudley explained, trying to find the words, explained to Aven, "he's not like us, he's a freak. ā€

"Freak?!" Evan frowned, he saw that Harry beside him was also so excited that he forgot to keep closing the door that kept opening.

In the next second, a small green monster popped out of the closet, it had two big bat-like ears, and a pair of protruding green eyes the size of a tennis ball.

Dobby, the house-elf, Evan immediately guessed who it was, but he didn't expect the house-elf to be so ugly.

"How dare you insult the great Harry Potter in front of Dobby!" Dobby screamed as soon as he jumped out of the closet.

Before everyone could react, it stretched out its right index finger and pointed fiercely at Dudley, who was stunned.

There was a pale green flash, a firecracker-like sound, a scream, and then Dudley covered his fat ass with both hands, and he jumped in pain. As he turned around, Aven saw a curly pig's tail sticking out of the hole in his pants.

Poor Dudley, after being conjured a pig's tail by Hagrid last year, has suffered another contribution this year.
