Chapter 215: Regulus is discovered
Dumbledore knew he had to be careful, the temptation of power was limitless, and the more gifted a wizard was on the path of magic, the easier it was to go astray.
For most wizards, magic is just a wave of a wand and a few spells.
Only a handful of gifted wizards know exactly what magic is and what it can bring them.
Great power combined with unbridled ambition brings nothing but disaster and destruction.
Voldemort is the most obvious example, and his excellent spell-casting talent and bloodline from Salazar Slytherin himself made him consider himself unique.
He was superior to others, and his arrogant heart was constantly inflated, even thinking that he was a god in the end.
Everything he does is self-centered, he doesn't think about other people's feelings, and his dark growth trajectory makes him not understand what love is.
Look at the things he did back then, wantonly killing people, advocating the status of pure-blood wizards over mudbloods and muggles, and so on.
These things were not as noble as Voldemort and the Death Eaters preached.
In Dumbledore's opinion, the reason he did it was simply because he wanted to do it, and he wanted to prove different.
As a result, he abused his magic and disregarded life.
In order to gain eternal life, he even split the soul to create a Horcrux.
More than twenty years ago, when Riddle, who had been missing for a long time, returned to Hogwarts under his new form and applied to him for the position of Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts, Dumbledore was keenly aware of the instability of his soul.
Dumbledore suspected that Riddle was engaged in some kind of nefarious research into the dark arts, and later indications were that he was making Horcruxes.
The last thing to expect happened, Dumbledore didn't know how many times Voldemort had split his soul.
This evil black magic made him an unkillable monster.
Dumbledore looked at Evan again, they had destroyed two Horcruxes so far.
And these things are all related to this child, it's a coincidence, still
In addition to these coincidences, what surprised Dumbledore even more was that Evan had already found the door to power, and he was short of time now.
Evan is just as good as Tom Riddle when he was a student, and much more than his peers.
The only thing to be thankful for is that he is different from Riddle, he has a complete family, has his own friends, understands what love is, and understands the meaning of life.
From what has been observed so far, it is unlikely that Evan will become a second Voldemort.
A smile appeared on the corner of Dumbledore's mouth, although he didn't show up at Hogwarts the other day, he knew everything.
What pleased him the most was Aven's final choice between life and death for Peter Pettigrew.
Even in the face of the threat of those eight-eyed spiders, Evan did not give up on Peter Pettigrew to flee for his life, but insisted on fleeing with him.
Dumbledore was very pleased with Aven's performance that night.
He thought that maybe he should give more help to this child.
He was already very old, and if he didn't succeed in finding all of Voldemort's Horcruxes in the end, Evan would be an indispensable help.
In the middle of the island, Evan let go of his grip on Golem as he calculated his mana cost. With his current abilities, he couldn't turn this cyan boulder into something more complex, but being able to activate it was already a big success.
He was going to try other magic, and if it weren't for everyone here, Aven interrupted to try the spell that summoned demons recorded in "Secret of Cutting-Edge Black Magic", which was the first time he had seen this kind of magic.
On the island, more and more yin corpses are emerging from the lake in all directions.
Under their attack, everyone kept falling backwards and gathered around the stone basin.
The Yin Corpses are hard to destroy, their magic has been exhausted, and Sirius, Aven, Harry, and Hermione use all kinds of spells to delay them as much as possible.
The pressure was still mounting, and just when everyone was about to hold on, Dumbledore struck, using the same spell as Evan had just started.
He waved his wand, and four heavy black boulders floated up from the ground, with a loud grinding sound, and in an instant, they turned into four huge trolls.
Not in Aven's unfinished state, they were identical to real trolls, barely showing a trace of the pre-transformation period, the four trolls let out a rude howl and held a large stout club as a weapon in their hands.
Evan looked at Dumbledore in surprise, saw that Dumbledore was looking at him calmly, and motioned for Evan to pay attention to his next move.
His wand danced in a strange trajectory, as if conducting an orchestra.
Under Dumbledore's control, the trolls rushed from the center of the island in all directions, rampage through the hordes of Yin corpses.
There were a few loud bangs, and their strength was so great that many Yin corpses were directly knocked back into the dark lake.
The strong impact in front of me made everyone feel a feeling of joy from the bottom of their hearts.
The trolls were crawling with corpses, but they didn't flinch a step, they were using their bodies to fight the corpses hard-to-head.
Evan looked at Dumbledore in amazement, he couldn't imagine how much magic it would take.
After Dumbledore's move, everyone was much less stressed, and they concentrated on finding Regulus in the dense crowd of Yin corpses.
Aven's gaze swept over the pale, hideous-looking corpses, and looking at them, there were no words to describe what it was like.
If I had to say it, it was absolutely terrible.
At this moment, Kreacher suddenly shouted loudly, "Young Master Regulus, Kreacher has found Young Master Regulus!"
Evan hurriedly looked in the direction pointed by the house-elf, and he saw a corpse of a boy of eighteen or nineteen who had just crawled out of the lake, wearing a black wizard's robe that was different from the Muggles around him, and the Black family crest was particularly obvious on his chest.
Regulus's appearance was very similar to that of Sirius in his youth, and under the influence of magic, he remained the same as he had been in the moment before his death, with little change, and looked darker than Sirius, but also appeared healthier and more energetic.
Because of the long time he had been immersed in the water, his body was already a little swollen.
Like the other Yin Corpses, he looked around blankly and walked in the direction of the stone basin in the center of the island, not recognizing who the people standing in front of him were.
He is not the hero who bravely resisted Voldemort, but a corpse under the control of magic, guarding the fragments of Voldemort's soul.
"Regulus!!" Sirius cried out in a mournful voice, a heart-rending sound echoing through the dark cavern.
Before the others could react, he had already rushed over, desperately rushing into the group of corpses, trying to drag Regulus out. (To be continued.) )
