(89) Yu Chongzhang's biography" and preface
Mr. Xiao Shishu of the "Poetry" Association compiled "Famous Schools? Famous Teacher" is a monument to 25 famous or extraordinary old teachers, including the late old teacher Yu Chongzhang of our school. Xiao Lao said: "Being able to keep the history is also a reward for the teacher, the old gentleman's life is not easy, we have to be responsible for him, let him occupy a page." ”
Xiao Lao's words are really impressive. The older and older Xiao Lao is warm, so that those celebrities and sages who have long been in their ancient or twilight years and their merits and achievements will not disappear with the passage of time. Mr. Xiao named me to make a biography for Mr. Yu, which is indeed an honor and my bounden responsibility, and I have a friendship with Mr. Yu for more than ten years. Although Mr. Yu has no amazing deeds, he is worthy of being highly respected, erudite and talented, and his experience is also special. In recent weeks, after several collections, there are a lot of materials, Mr. Yu's colleagues Song Ruxian, Meng Yan and others to provide information, especially Mr. Yu's eldest daughter Yu Weiyu and her mother three times for his materials, I was able to happily write this biography.
Xiao Lao asked that this biography should not exceed 1,000 words, and "we must grasp the shining point, write a few specific examples and academic achievements, do not write empty words, use less words of praise, and speak with facts." The author must not disobey, and it took six revisions to become this biography, totaling 984 words.
The author knows that he is lonely and unheard, and he is shallow in his studies, and he cannot be satisfactory, so he does not dare to make self-comments, and only hopes that Xiao Lao is upright and the reader will judge.
Yu Chongzhang, male, Han nationality, was born on August 14, 1922 in a poor peasant family in Nannantai Village, Wendeng County, Shandong Province, and died of kidney cancer in Laha Town on August 21, 1992 at the age of 70.
Mr. Yu graduated from Wendeng Normal School in Shandong Province (1939). He successively taught in Weihai Weiqin Village Primary School (1940), served as education secretary in Rongcheng County (1942), studied in the radio training class of the 92nd Army of the Kuomintang (1944), served as a radio operator and station commander in the 92nd Army Communication Battalion (1945), studied at Tianjin Yude College (1947), served as the station commander and platoon commander of the Communication Battalion of the 17th Corps of the Kuomintang (1949), and served as the platoon commander of the Communication Battalion of the 318th Division (1949), and the uprising in August 1949.
After the liberation, Mr. Yu taught at Nergasa No. 1 Middle School. In March 1958, because he was branded as a rightist, he went to the Red Brick Farm and Laha Sand Field for labor reform, and fished for rice in the water on the ice ballast, and his cotton pants were all wet. While transporting sand on the gangplank, he broke his finger. During the three-year renovation period, he was tormented. In 1961, he taught at Hesheng Primary School, and all the students he taught were promoted to junior high school. In 1963, he founded and taught at Hesheng Agricultural Middle School. During the "Ten Years of Turmoil", he was criticized and guarded, had suppuration in his lungs, and was in critical condition, and was smuggled home by the administrator. After being cured, he returned to school and work, and often coughed up blood but still insisted on working. In 1972, Ms. Yu was transferred to Laha No. 1 Middle School to teach, and served as the head of the language group until her retirement.
Teacher Yu's family is in a difficult situation, and his wife has schizophrenia. The gray-haired teacher Yu still has to serve the old Taishan, who is more than old, and his three daughters are young, and he is all dependent on him inside and out, and he also has a variety of diseases, and he is not financially well-off.
Teacher Yu is rigorous in teaching, and often says: "When the teacher says the knowledge wrong, it is a mistake and a crime." He devoted all his energy to researching textbooks, preparing for classes, tutoring students, and grading assignments. His lesson plans are a model for everyone to follow. His lectures were so thorough and vivid that the students were full of praise years later. He has given many observation and tutorial classes: Chinese class in Hesheng Commune Middle School (autumn 1970), training course in Jiasa middle school textbook (summer 1979), and demonstration class of intensive Chinese teaching and practice on Tanxin Road in Jiasa City (1980). Every time, he prepared meticulously, sitting at the desk all day long, never leaving the book, never leaving the pen, and satisfying his hunger with bread.
Teacher Yu's house is five miles away from the city, whether it is windy, rainy or snowy, he is never late. He gave all his love to his students: when the performance was bad, he patiently educated; When his studies were poor, he tutored him carefully; When he was sick, he went to visit; Lack of money, he donated. He didn't care about himself. In the winter, he had a serious cor pulmonale, and the doctor hospitalized him, but he gritted his teeth and insisted on attending classes. At the end of a class, I was sweating profusely, puffing and coughing.
Teacher Yu often organizes peers to study business activities, which makes the group prosperous. He cared for young teachers and supported them with great enthusiasm, and the young teachers he trained have become teaching experts.
Mr. Yu was a deputy to the Provincial People's Congress (1993), a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (1980), but he did not use it as capital to ask for anything. During his long teaching career, he was rarely rated exemplary but had no complaints.
After his retirement, he often corresponded with the peasants, explaining policies to them, persuading them to resolve family disputes, and writing letters on his behalf. He also taught at the University for the Elderly, and won the Elite Award for the Elderly, and his papers "A Preliminary Study on Rural "Elderly Care" and "Population Aging and Social Security Issues" won the award (Qi Municipal Level).
In the last moments of his life, he fought stubbornly against his illness. Push yourself and others, and hope that science and technology will overcome cancer as soon as possible: "In the face of cancer, I look up to the sky and laugh/Why am I afraid that you will swallow my life/Human beings are burdened by your cruelty/It is your end to come", "Who has not died in life since ancient times/The twilight of life is not enough/I hope that science and technology will climb to the peak/Relieve pain and create great achievements"!
