(107) The night of the Lantern Festival
On the night of the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, the moonlight is like water, and the red lanterns are hung up in every house, and the bright moonlight and bright red lanterns make the night particularly beautiful. Every family is celebrating the Lantern Festival and making something delicious. I didn't go to the street to buy anything, I was supposed to make it seven dishes and eight bowls, and drink it to get drunk. As a result, I only asked my wife to cook four side dishes, and chatted with my wife while eating, which made sense. Our family is a typical empty nest family, but we can all think of it.
After eating, we watched TV, which was the prime time for TV broadcasting, but we didn't find it interesting and lay down early. It was about ten o'clock when the phone rang suddenly. My wife suddenly got up, grabbed the microphone at once, and said in a rough voice, "Hey, who?" From the tone of my wife's voice, I can conclude that I am not happy that the caller has disturbed his good dreams, and I think my wife is really funny. Suddenly, my wife's voice was raised and full of joy: "Wow, baby!" I got up and grabbed the microphone, but unfortunately my wife was holding on to it, so I had to put my ear next to my wife's head and try to listen to what my little granddaughter said, but I couldn't hear clearly.
Finally, my wife gave me the microphone, and I was so excited that I didn't know what to say, but shouted: "Hey, granddaughter!" The little granddaughter said, "Grandma, happy holidays!" I said happily: "Okay, okay, you're so wow!" I replied, "Didn't eat it, did you eat it?" The next granddaughter said, "Grandma, I didn't eat the Lantern Festival, I ate biscuits, but it was delicious!" I listened to the little granddaughter's tone full of immature charm, I felt very comfortable. My little darling spoke again: "Grandma, Mommy bought me apples, I like it!"
On this beautiful night of the Lantern Festival, I whispered to my little granddaughter who was far away and spent the Lantern Festival together, which is a very happy thing, how interesting this night should be!
People are the most interesting, especially in their later years, when they pay special attention to the affection of their children. Not to mention an empty nest house. In our Chinese nation, a country of ancient civilization and etiquette, the greatest tradition is selfless dedication to our children and grandchildren. Use all your efforts and strength to seek happiness for your children, usually reluctant to eat and wear, and try to make your children unyielding. Even if the children can't repay as much as themselves, they have no regrets and are unswerving, this is the luck of the children, and this is the tragedy of the older generation.
Now that my children and grandchildren are far away from me, I think about them day and night, and I long to be reunited with them as soon as possible. May God give us the time of reunion as soon as possible and enjoy the joy of that day!
