Chapter Seventy-Three: Thieves Don't Go Empty
The pool slowly faded from Silver's sight, revealing a very thick pipe that could fit a man in—just like five years ago, when Silver was a second-year wizard and had to rely on someone else to do many things, and now that he was an adult, he was enough to solve some difficult problems on his own.
"Damn! it stinks!" Silver held his breath as a heavy sewer smell came from the huge water pipe in front of him, nearly knocking him out. He quickly cast a bubble head charm on himself, and now his head was like a transparent fish tank, and the stench was cut out.
"Whew, what the hell!" Silver felt that the situation was not good, the smell coming out of this water pipe five years ago was a damp smell of lake water, and now it has become so stinky, there must be something that has changed.
Silver wasn't a cleanliness man, but the stench made him wonder if the passage had been converted into a dung pipe. Merlin is on top, and he doesn't have a hobby of drilling manure pipes.
Silver, who was hesitant to go in by himself, noticed a bright red on a puddle of mud from the water pipe.
Silver used his wand to pluck away the mud, revealing the bright red of all colors: a bright red bird feather. Silver reached out and took out the feather, examining it carefully.
"It's the feathers of the phoenix, not the tail feathers, just the ordinary feathers on the phoenix's body, which seem to have fallen off by accident. Silver wasn't too surprised, "Looks like Dumbledore did come here, and my guess was correct." ”
Silver cast a protective charm on himself, and he bent down to get into the pipe and let go, allowing himself to slide down. Silver slid as fast as he could, there was no light in the slide, and there was slimy stuff everywhere. He curled up to protect his nose and mouth. The slide was so long that just when Silver felt like he was about to lose his patience, he finally hit the ground.
The pipe was level, and he came out of the mouth of the pipe, and fell on the wet ground and fell into the mud - fortunately he didn't really kiss the mud on the ground with his hand.
"Whew, it's good that no one saw it. Silver quickly got up from the ground, and by this time he was already stinking and covered in an unidentified viscous substance of brownish green. Fortunately, the Bubble Head Charm protected him, otherwise Silver would have collapsed just by smelling his own scent!
"Clean up!"
Silver took a lot of work to clean himself up. He continued along the dark stone tunnel. Five years ago, the tunnel was full of critter bones, and now it's been cleared. The basilisk's molt was gone—Silver still regrets not taking it with him, because the molt of a basilisk that had lived for hundreds of years was a very valuable thing, and it was of great value.
"Maybe he was taken away by Dumbledore later. Silver thought that he continued on the road, the tunnel was very long, and there were many curves, and after Silver had carefully turned another corner, he finally found that there was a wall of two snakes carved into each other, and it looked very strong. Carved on it were two intertwined snakes, whose eyes were originally studded with large, shiny emeralds, but now only hollow eye sockets remained, which looked even more eerie.
"This ...... It's really a thief who doesn't go empty. If Dumbledore did it again, then I would have a lower opinion of him. Silver quietly touched the silver knife in his arms. "I don't know if I want to leave something for young people, it's really disrespectful to the old......"
He muttered as he pulled out his little bow-tie device, "Turn it on!"
A "hiss" sound from the bow tie.
The two snakes separated, and the stone wall cracked in the middle and slowly slid to both sides and disappeared.
Silver stood on the side of a long, brightly lit room, and on the opposite wall hung portraits of old headmasters, all of them with serious expressions, discussing issues with each other. There is also a huge table in the center of the room with claw-shaped legs. It was filled with all sorts of strange silverware, and Dumbledore was sitting behind his desk, Phoenix Fawkes standing in his street, chirping at him.
"Jack, you're here. ”
"Well, I'm here. Silver nodded, unceremoniously smearing the mud from the soles of his shoes on the priceless blanket on the ground. "I didn't expect you to make this the Headmaster's Office, Professor Dumbledore, you put a lot of thought into it. ”
"I just love the environment. Dumbledore said.
He stood up, "Did you come to me for something?" Jack. ”
"We don't have to play dumb riddles between us. Silver said bluntly, "Why did you stun Slughorn? What were you thinking all this time? Why are you hiding here? And what are you doing here?" )
