(296) Call for Papers
(Saturday, December 21, 2013)
I am not familiar with the call for papers, that is, I have not been exposed to much, but I have not been in contact with it.
As early as the 90s of the twentieth century, I just came into contact with the call for papers, but it was more than 20 years ago, and the gap between the more than 20 years was still very large.
In recent years, I have been living at home, and I have been at the end of the world for the essay call. However, in November of this year, I finally had an unprecedented level of contact with the call for essays.
I never imagined such a situation. Not to mention, how well the article is written, that is, it is finished, and I don't know where to throw it, in Lu Xun's words, it is "there is no place to write after chanting and lowering my eyebrows" ("Accustomed to Long Nights and Spring").
In addition, I don't know the current trend and standards of the call for papers.
One day, I was reading a blog friend's poem in Sina, and I accidentally broke into another blog friend's blog, and I don't understand how I broke into it at that time.
I looked at this blogger and saw that this blogger was a young man, and he had a call for papers on his blog page, which surprised me.
I've long wanted to take a look at the current call for papers and get a feel for the fashionable call for papers.
After I read one, I found that there were essay notices before and after the prompts below it, and I was even more pleasantly surprised, so click to read it.
This blogger's blog keeps appearing with essay calls, how can I not read it?
Looking at it, I'm interested. Is it too much to collect, besides, it's not convenient to look through them one by one.
I thought about it a little and the inspiration came, so wouldn't it be a great thing to copy it and save it to my hard drive? It can be read anytime, anywhere.
So much so that I can't remember which one is available and which one isn't.
Once again, my inspiration came to make a table, and to inlay the skeleton of each copied essay posting into the table, wouldn't it be a great convenience?
I'll make the form right away.
There are 10 items in my design form: serial number, title of the call for papers, time of the notice, time of the call, genre theme, manuscript fee, address, contact information, number of pages, and remarks.
Of these ten items, the remarks are the most flexible, and the other nine items are fixed, but the length of the skeleton content is different, and the length of the table items is fixed, what should I do?
It's not difficult, you can make full use of the table items in the taskbar at the top of the page, there is "Draw Table", click on it, and use the brush to draw a new table layout.
In addition to that, you can also make use of merging cells, deleting cells, etc., and you can do whatever you want.
In this way, I made a document of the full text of the copied call for papers, and made a document of the table drawing the skeleton of the call for papers, the former named "Call for Papers" and the latter as "Catalogue of Call for Papers".
With these two documents, it is very easy to look and choose.
I began to collect the essay posters reprinted by this blogger on November 13, and it was not until December 8 that I finished collecting the 710 essay postings he reprinted, and the vast majority of them were reprinted by this blogger, and three or five of them were reprinted or published by others.
A few days later, I found that this blogger continued to reprint the essay posting, and I continued to include it, and at the same time, I also found the essay posters published or reprinted by other bloggers, and I included them one by one, and so far, I have included a total of 757 essay postings.
Of course, three or five of them are duplicates.
I think that as long as I see a new call for papers that I have not discovered before, I will collect it, which is also a valuable material, and it is also a kind of pastime and pleasure for me to collect and organize it.
Of course, I didn't include all the essay postings I saw, and I didn't include those that were short-lived or unsuitable, and there were probably dozens.
These hundreds of essay postings also have 700 pages and a table of contents of 122 pages.
I have to read every essay posting, and some of them have to change the font color to make it eye-catching and attention-grabbing.
In doing so, I will read the essay notice more than once.
The more than 800-page essay call for papers has a remarkable appearance.
These call for papers are generally divided into the following levels: preface, columns, call for papers, manuscript requirements, precautions, submission requirements, whether there is a manuscript fee, address, email address, unit address, and telephone number.
But not all the call for papers have so many levels, and some are very simple, only the submission mailbox.
Reading through the specific requirements of the manuscript of the call for papers, it can be seen that the current manuscripts are for quality and novelty.
In terms of subject matter, it is rare to ask for the kind of political nature that was very political in the past, but there are some, for example, praising the party, the motherland, the times, and so on.
Most of them are required to reflect real life, the lives and emotions of people in reality, and so on.
In terms of genres, novels, poems and essays are the most common, and others are also more extensive: stories, reviews, reportage, lyrics, essays, etc., and even paintings, photography and other works of art.
In terms of quality, the requirements are relatively high, and some are very high and not easy to achieve.
In terms of word count, some have requirements, and some have no requirements. Some require original debut, some do not require original debut, and there is only one call for papers, which I especially like to publish.
In terms of submission methods, most of them are e-mails, and at the same time, there are also mail addresses and zip codes, and some are not allowed to use e-mails, which are only very few.
Some have manuscript fees, some have no manuscript fees, some manuscript fees are preferential, some manuscript fees are small remuneration, some are paid by journals, and some are given individual items, wine, tea, etc.
In terms of the content and art of the manuscript, some of the requirements are very detailed, like "Women's Square", and some do not say a word.
On the whole, these essay callings all require the unity of content and art, and the content requirements in this are much broader than before.
Literature and art are originally to reflect reality, no matter how big or small, as long as they are true and beautiful, rather than false and filthy, they can be written into articles, of course, they do not exclude historical and science fiction.
But those fantasy and fairy tales, although they have a certain meaning, or they are a refraction of reality and wishes, they are by no means more valuable than reality.
What's more, some of them are simply made up, and some of the TV series and movies don't write anti-Japanese themes, fictionalizing chivalrous warriors with superior martial arts, which is purely ridiculous, if this is the case, how can the War of Resistance last for eight years?
There is nothing wrong with demanding the unity of thought and art, and some of the essay notices require that they be very detailed, which is certainly valuable, but it is also suspected of restricting people and stifling the creativity of individuality.
Some call for papers do not have any requirements, which does not mean that their standard of selection of manuscripts is inferior, as long as the work is good, it should be selected for publication.
Seeing and including these more than 700 essay postings also opened my eyes, and my horizons have indeed broadened, I know what I didn't know before, and I understand what I didn't understand.
There are so many call for papers, as long as the manuscript is good, it has its destination, it depends on the author's writing ability.
There are so many inspirations from the essay posting, I also try, I wrote a few short essays, but also wrote three "micro insights":
(1) If you fall into clichés, you will have no freshness, you will not be able to arouse people's interest, and you will not be able to watch it. Because interest is the first teacher, as long as you are interested, you can resonate and be tempting. Same theme, but your entry point is novel, of course, if it is attractive, you will be rewarded. This is the spirit of innovation. The task entrusted to us by the times is to take the road of innovation and create something that has never been done before. Innovation is the main theme of our times. (139 words)
(2) A woman, born into a family, cannot choose, she can't help herself, but the fate of her marriage can be chosen, not destined. If she doesn't find a man who is really reliable and can love her, it will be her greatest misfortune. Therefore, at the moment when she chooses the destination of marriage, it is very important, she must be cautious and cautious, but this does not necessarily mean that she will be able to meet someone who is caring, just like paying attention to safety, but the result is still not safe. (139 words)
(3) When a woman dies and her bones are not cold, the man will find a new love, forgetting all the old people who have been with each other for many years, and he is tender and loving to the new love. Men are inseparable from women, and the concept of women is abstract, not a specific woman. Because, a man can't bear loneliness, and the release of his bad roots. (125 words)
He also wrote two poems: "Heart Road" condensed into a ball/Radiating the ends of the world/Scanning the totem picture scroll of 5,000 years/Lifting the dream of spring light veil/Covering the clean blanket of winter/Crazy/The hustle and bustle of the wind and clouds/A gentle kiss/The filaments of summer lotus and autumn leaves/Branded with warm lips/Delicate posture and retreat/The song of the soul is gone/One journey after another/After all, it can't be drawn
"Yangtze River and Yellow River": Perched in the north of the Saibei / Graceful and colorful / Thick ** / Soaked in the cradle of life / Lying in the south of the Yangtze River / With masculinity and wisdom / Decorating the landscape and pastoral / One south and one north / Raising the case / The territory of the chicken / Interpreting the never-ending reincarnation
My blogger who reprinted hundreds of essay postings, he is a good young man who pushes himself and others, he is not only for the convenience of his own submission, but also for the majority of literature and art lovers, providing a broad place to use.
