In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Pen "Fun" Pavilion www.biquge.info

The earth is empty and chaotic, the abyss is dark, and the Spirit of God hovers over the waters.

And God said, Let there be light, and there was light.

God saw that light was good, and he separated the light from darkness.

God called the light day and the darkness night, and there was night and there was morning, and this was the first day.

And God said, Let there be air between the waters, and let the waters be up and down.

And God made the air, and opened the waters that were under the air, and the waters above the air, and thus it was done.

And God called the air the heavens, and there was evening and there was morning, and it was the second day.

And God said, Let the waters of the world be gathered together in one place, and let the dry land be exposed, and thus it will be done.

And God called the dry land the earth, and the gathering place of the waters the sea.

And God said, And the earth shall bring forth grass, and plants that bear seed, and trees that bear fruit, every kind, and fruit with kernels.

Then there came forth grass and herbs that brought forth seed, every kind of tree, and every tree that bore fruit, every kind, and the fruit of which was covered with kernels. God looks good.

And there was evening and there was morning, and it was the third day.

And God said, Let there be a body of light in heaven, which may divide the day into the night, and make signs, and set seasons, days, and years;

And it shall shine in the heavens and on the earth.

So God made two great lights, the great ruler of the day, and the younger ruler of the night, and the stars.

And he set them in the heavens, and shone them on the earth,

It is good to govern day and night, to distinguish between light and dark, and God to see it.

And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

And God said, Let the water multiply with living things, and let the birds fly above the earth and in the sky.

And God made great fish, and every living creature that came out of the waters, according to its kind, and every kind of bird, every kind of bird, and it was good in the sight of God.

And God blessed all of them, saying, The waters of the sea shall multiply and multiply, and the birds shall multiply on the earth.

And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

And God said, The earth will bring forth living creatures, every man according to his kind, and the livestock, and the creeping thing, and the wild beast, every according to his kind, and thus it will be done.

Then God made wild beasts, every according to his kind, every beast, every man according to his kind, and every creeping thing on the earth, according to his kind.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and give them dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the cattle of the earth, over all the earth, and over all the creeping things that crawl on it.

God made man in his own image, but in his image he made male and female.

And God blessed them, and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth with dominion, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves on the earth.

And God said, Behold, I will give you all the herbs that bear seed on the earth, and every seed that bears fruit from every tree, for food.

And as for the beasts of the earth, and the birds of the air, and every living thing that crept upon the earth, I gave them grass for food.

And God saw all that was made very well: there was evening and there was morning, and it was the sixth day.

All things in the heavens and the earth have been made.

And on the seventh day the work of God's creation was finished, and on the seventh day he rested from all his work.

God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day God rested from all his creation.

This is how the heavens and the earth were created, in the day when the LORD God made them;

There is no vegetation in the field, and no herbs have grown up in the field, because the LORD God has not yet sent rain on the earth, and no one has cultivated the land.

But a mist rose from the earth and moistened the earth.

God made man out of the dust of the earth and breathed life into his nostrils, and he became a living man of spirit, whose name was Adam.

God set up a garden in Eden in the east and placed the people he had created.

God has made every kind of tree grow out of the ground so that it may be pleasing to the eye, and its fruit may be good for food, and in the garden there is a tree of life, and a tree of good and evil.

And a river flowed out of Eden to nourish the garden, and from there it was divided into four ways.

The first is called Bishon, which is round about all the land of Havilah, and there is gold,

And the gold of the land was good, and there were pearls and red agate.

And the name of the second river was Gihon, which encircled all the land of Ethiopia.

The third river, called Hedezekiel, flowed east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrat.

God placed the man in the Garden of Eden and put him in repair and guarding.

And God said unto him, Thou shalt eat as much as you please, from every tree in the garden.

But you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die.

And God said, It is not good for him to be alone, and I will make him a spouse to help him.

And all the beasts of the field, and every bird of the air, which God had made out of the earth, brought him to see what his name was, and what he called every living creature, that was his name.

And he gave names to all the livestock, and to the birds of the air, and to the beasts of the field, but the man did not find a spouse to help him.

And God put him to sleep, and he slept, and took off one of his ribs, and put the flesh together.

And God made a woman out of the rib that he had taken from the man's body, and brought him to the man.

And he said, This is the bone of my bones, and the flesh of my flesh, and I may call him a woman, because he was taken out of a man.

Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.

At that time, the husband and wife were naked, and they were not ashamed.

The serpent is the only one of God's creatures who is more cunning than all the living creatures of the field. And the serpent said to the woman, Did God really say, Do you not eat of all the trees of the garden?

And the woman said to the serpent, Let us eat from the trees of the garden;

But God has said of the tree in the midst of the garden, "You shall not eat of it, nor touch it, lest you die."

And the serpent said to the woman, You will not necessarily die.

For God knows, in the day that you eat thereof, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, who knows good and evil.

So when the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and pleasing to the eye, and wise, she plucked it, and ate it, and gave it to her husband, and he ate it.

And when their eyes were brightened, they realized that they were naked, and they took the leaves of the fig tree and made a dress for themselves.

And a cool breeze arose, and God walked in the garden. When the man and his wife heard the voice of God, they hid themselves in the trees of the garden from God's presence.

And God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?

And he said, When I heard thy voice in the garden, I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid.

And God said, Who told you to be naked, but thou hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee not to eat?

And he said, The woman whom thou hast given me to live with me gives me the fruit of the tree, and I have eaten.

And God said unto the woman, What have thou done? And the woman said, The serpent has deceived me, and I have eaten.

And God said unto the serpent, Cursed thou shalt be accursed when thou hast done this, above all the beasts of the beast or beast, and thou shalt walk on thy belly and eat the earth all the days of thy life.
