Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Lucky Potion
Ron slouched through the hole in the portrait, looking dejected.
"Man, you don't seem to be in a good mood, didn't you pass the exam?" Harry looked at Ron's depressed look, as the frustration of Slughorn's dissipated considerably.
"It's really unlucky, because it's a big thing - the examiner just saw that I had half an eyebrow dropped. Ron said depressedly, "It's just half an eyebrow, as if it mattered! Did you get that memory from Slughorn?"
"Slughorn didn't want to talk to me about this at all. Harry said, "Unlucky, man. But you don't have to take it personally. Next time, I'll definitely be able to pass the guò - we can both take the test together. ”
"I think so. Ron said gloomily, "It's just half an eyebrow!
"I understand," Harry reassured, "it's very harsh......"
"I think it was the examiner who retaliated because I messed up the training course he ran. "But can I blame me? It's all Myrtle's fault, and he should have gone to the ghost to settle accounts with me instead of me." ”
"Speaking of myrtle, she didn't pester you anymore. ”
"I went to see Professor McGonagall, and thankfully, Myrtle listened to her, and she helped me with my affair with Myrtle, but she warned me not to talk about it anymore. Ron shrugged, "I'll continue with the fool examiner......"
They spent most of their dinner scolding the Apparition Examiner, and by the time they walked back to the common room, Ron seemed to be in a slightly better mood, and now the conversation turned to Slughorn's question.
"So, Harry—do you want to use the Elixir?" Ron asked, "since there's no other way. ”
"Well, I guess it's better to use it. Harry said, "I gave you a little drink last time, and now I have to save some." But I think I only need to take a sip, and two or three hours should be enough. ”
"It's a wonderful feeling," Ron said nostalgically, "as if you can't go wrong with anything." ”
"But when the time comes, it's going to be beaten back to its original shape. Harry said, "Hopefully a qiē shun lì." ”
They had just seen Slughorn enter the dining room, and knowing that he liked to eat slowly, they waited in the common room for a while, planning to wait for Slughorn to go to his office after Slughorn returned.
When the sun set over the treetops of the Forbidden Forest, they judged that the time had come. After seeing that Neville, Dean, and Seamus were all in the common room, he snuck into the boys' dormitory.
Harry pulled out the sock at the bottom of the box and pulled out a small, glittering bottle containing half a bottle of golden liquid.
Thankfully, the thief hadn't stolen a piece—Harry thought to himself. He held up the vial, took a sip.
"Does it feel like something has changed?" Ron asked in a whisper.
Harry didn't answer for a moment, and then, slowly but surely, an incomparably exhilarating feeling flowed through his body, as if there were infinite opportunities. He felt like he could do anything. 一qiē事...... Getting a memory from Slughorn suddenly seemed not only possible, but simply easy......
He stood up with a smile, full of confidence.
"It's wonderful, it's wonderful. Good...... I'm going to Slughorn. ”
"Good luck. Buddy. Ron said.
"I'm the luckiest person at Hogwarts right now, Ron. Harry smiled confidently.
Harry put on his cloak of invisibility and left the Gryffindor common room. He strides through the castle without tiptoeing. Because he didn't run into a single person, but it wasn't surprising to him at all. He was the luckiest man at Hogwarts tonight.
"I should go to the medicine garden. Harry thought suddenly, strangely. But Harry felt he should heed the impulse. So he immediately moved his feet in the direction of the vegetable garden. Not surprisingly, he noticed that Filch had not locked the door, and he left the castle with ease. When he arrived at the garden, he was delighted, but not very surprised, to find Professor Slughorn talking to Professor Sprout. Harry hid behind a low stone wall, calmly listening to their conversation.
“…… Thank you so much for bothering, Pomona," Slughorn said politely, "and most authorities believe that this medicine works best when picked at dusk. ”
"Oh, I agree," said Sprout enthusiastically, "is it enough?"
"Enough, enough," Slughorn thanked him as Harry saw him hugging a large handful of leaves, "My third-year students can each get a few slices, and some leftovers to prevent anyone from overcooking them...... Well, I wish you a good night and thanks again!"
Professor Sprout walked in the direction of the conservatory in the growing twilight, and Slughorn paced towards where Harry was invisible.
Harry felt the urge to show up and ripped off the cloak.
"Good evening, Professor. ”
"My God, Harry, you scared me. Slughorn stopped abruptly and looked at him warily, "How did you get out of the castle?"
"I think Filch forgot to lock the door. Harry said happily, pleased to see Slughorn frown.
"I'm going to expose that man, who I think cares more about garbage than the safety of teachers and students...... But why are you here, Harry?"
"Oh, sir, I'm here for you. ”
"Harry, if you still want to ask about the past, then I can only tell you that you have no comment, even if Dumbledore himself comes to me. Professor Slughorn shook his head, "This shouldn't be your concern, it's too far away from you. ”
"Sir, is that other person's memory really important enough to be like this?"
"......Of course, no," Slughorn said consciously. "Alright, Harry, it's time for you to go back, students can't stay outside at this time. ”
"But I don't want to go back at this time, I want to take the professor to find someone for you. ”
"Who's going on? Harry. ”
"Find someone who is qualified to have access to that memory -- Jack Silver. (To be continued......)
