Chapter 712 Lu Tanwei and the Western Zhou Luminous Cup
……
When Liu Dong carefully opened this handscroll with a length of 4.6 meters and a width of 45 centimeters, he was presented with eight seated scribes with different temperaments and expressions, but all of them had the appearance characteristics of thin images, shaved shoulders and thin waists, and wide clothes and belts.
Surrounding this painting is a dense seal and promotion, although Liu Dong did not count it, but I believe it will not be less than three hundred!
What's even more rare is that the quality of this painting is very complete, although the picture is old, but there is no obvious damage and smudge, it can be seen that the owners of the past generations have cherished it very much!
When Liu Dong turned his gaze to the left, the nine ancient characters of the official book of "The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and the Rongqi Period Map" were impressively listed!
Rong Qiqi was a native of the Spring and Autumn Period, and his ideas were similar to those of the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest" such as Ruan Ji, Shantao, Wang Rong, Xiang Xiu, Liu Ling, and Ruan Xian led by Ji Kang, so they were also respected together.
According to the archaeological community's research on the tomb inlaid brick painting "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and the Rongqi Period" found in the Jiangsu-Jiangsu-Beijing and Danyang areas, the powder of this brick painting is likely to come from Lu Tanwei!
Lu Tanwei, a painter of the Liu and Song dynasties of the Southern Dynasty, is in the history of Chinese painting. He was the founder of the formal use of calligraphy in painting. He applied the cursive script of Zhang Zhi of the Eastern Han Dynasty to his paintings. It's a pity that it's hard to see his paintings anymore. Tang Zhang Yanyuan contains more than 70 of his paintings in "Records of Famous Paintings of the Past Dynasties". The subject matter is very wide, from the paintings of sages and sages, Buddha statues and figures to birds and animals. He was also called "Gu Lu" along with Gu Kaizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and even Xie He's "Catalogue of Ancient Paintings" also admired him.
He is one of the earliest outstanding painters in the Suzhou area of the south of the Yangtze River, and Gu Kaizhi, Cao Buxing and Zhang Seng are collectively known as the 'Six Dynasties and Four Masters', any of his authentic works, its value is no less than Liu Dong's Zhang Seng Xuan's "Five Elements and Twenty-eight Residences True Form Map"!
Of course, whether it is the identification of the relics Yuanguang, or the promotion of the past dynasties on this "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and the Rongqi Period". All show that this painting is Lu Tanwei's hand-me-down!
Even with the help of Relic Yuanguang, Liu Dong also felt how lucky he was to be able to get this national treasure among the national treasures!
No matter how rich Liu Dong's collection of calligraphy and painting is in the future, I am afraid that it will rarely surpass Lu Tanwei's "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and the Rongqi Period" and Zhang Sengqiu's "Five Elements and Twenty-eight Suzhou True Shapes", as well as the calligraphy handscroll of Wang Xizhi's "Cold Cut Post" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty!
However, although the second ancient painting found by Liu Dong this time does not have to be Lu Tanwei's "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and the Rongqi Period" in terms of value, it is also a priceless treasure if it is really discussed.
Zhang Xuan, a painter in the Tang Dynasty, served as a court painter during the Kaiyuan period. He is known for his good painting of aristocratic ladies and palace saddle horses, and is usually mentioned in the history of painting with another female painter Zhou Fang, who came after him.
There are dozens of Zhang Xuan's works recorded in the history of Tang and Song Dynasty paintings, many of which have been copied by many painters, but they are the original works written by Zhang Xuan himself. There is nothing left today. There are two important facsimiles left in history, namely the volume of "The Lady of the Kingdom of Qiu" and the volume of "Pounding Practice" that are said to have been copied by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty.
However, the former is hidden in the Liaoning-Ning Museum. The latter is housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States, and it is rare to see in ordinary times!
Now this ancient painting in Liu Dong's hand is 1.8 meters long and 40 centimeters wide, which is Zhang Xuan's authentic work "Ming Emperor's Cool Picture"!
The figure in the picture dressed as an emperor is naturally a generation of celebrities, Tang Ming Emperor Li Longji!
After putting away the two famous paintings that could be used as the treasure of the museum, Liu Dong looked at the last box!
The box is not big, no more than 20 cm long, about 15 cm wide and high, and there is a silver lock hanging on the box, but this can't stop Liu Dong.
When he opened the box, there was a thick layer of yellow silk cloth inside.
But after removing the yellow silk cloth, it is a crystal clear white jade cup.
The material of the jade cup is the best mutton fat white jade, the upper part of the ornament is engraved with banana leaf gluttonous patterns, and the mouth, waist, and tail are engraved with the cross pattern, but the jade cup is not three-legged, but stands on a flying phoenix with a beautiful posture.
The combination of the two is the common drinking utensils Fengzun in the Yin Shang and Western Zhou dynasties.
It's just that unlike the bronze phoenix, it is not a simple bronze material, but mutton fat white jade.
In addition, the interior of this white jade phoenix is also engraved with micro-carved seal characters, there are not many words, more than 100, but it recounts a fairly famous historical story, at least in the jade carving line is well known.
According to Dongfang Shuo's "Fenglin Zhou" in "The Records of the Ten Continents in the Sea", it is recorded: "During the reign of King Mu of Zhou, Xihu offered Kunwu to cut jade knives and night light often filled cups. The knife is one foot long, and the cup is three liters. The knife cuts the jade like cutting the mud, and the cup is the essence of white jade, and the light shines at night. ”
This is almost the earliest introduction of luminous cups in Chinese history.
And the inscription of this white jade phoenix also recounts this story, but there is a part of the content that says: King Zhou Mu liked it very much after getting the luminous cup, and ordered him to use this luminous cup for burial after his death!
It's just that how this white jade luminous cup finally came out of the tomb of the emperor who reigned for the longest time in the history of the Western Zhou Dynasty and was also the most legendary, and appeared in the wall mezzanine of this courtyard, Liu Dong is unknown. But you can't get rid of the word 'tomb robbery'!
"If only I could find the Kunwu Knife!" Liu Dong said secretly in his heart.
During this period of time, Liu Dong learned carving with a cheap master, and Liu Dong already understood that if he wanted to reach the level of a grandmaster in jade carving, it was too slim to rely on 'stone' alone to ponder, because any specification of 'stone' could not compare to the fineness of carving with a knife.
Therefore, there are records in the jade carvers of the past dynasties, and the jade carving master recognized by later generations is only Lu Zigang in the Ming Dynasty, of course, the legend of Lu Zigang is linked to the Kunwu jade cutting knife in his hand that cuts jade like mud.
However, since Lu Zigang's death, no one has ever obtained the Kunwu knife, so there has never been a jade carving grandmaster, but the cheap master studied ancient books, traveled all over the world, looked for meteorite elites, and created two carving knives, 'Jade Tiger' and 'Frost Jiao', so as to advance to the grandmaster.
Although Liu Dong, who now has the 'Frost Jiao' in his hand, doesn't know that the knife in his hand is not comparable to the Kunwu knife that cuts jade like mud, but since the cheap master can use it to advance to the Grandmaster, then Liu Dong can naturally do it too.
Letting go of his attachment to the Kunwu knife, Liu Dong put it away after admiring the 'White Jade Luminous Cup' that King Zhou Mu once couldn't put down.
Time does not allow him to appreciate it slowly.
After Liu Dong searched all the four alleys and 408 courtyard houses bought by Jiahua Hotel Group, only one-twentieth of the courtyards with hidden treasures could be found, or even less. But despite this, Liu Dong is still very satisfied.
Although most of the 19 courtyard houses were gold, silver and jewelry, there were very few antiques, calligraphy and paintings.
However, after this trip, Liu Dong still collected about 129 antiques, in addition to Lu Tanwei's "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest and Rongqi Period", Zhang Xuan's "Ming Emperor's Cool Picture" and the Western Zhou Luminous Cup, the most precious one is the "Ming Dynasty Hongwuguan Kiln Entwined Flowers Lingkou Plate"!
In addition to these antiques, Liu Dong collected about 8,000 taels of gold, plus the remaining silver and all kinds of jewelry, its value is at least hundreds of millions of dollars!
Liu Dong, who had gained a lot, searched almost all the courtyard houses where no one was.
"It seems that we have to scavenge more money during this time and buy everything that can be bought in the entire Nanluoguxiang!" Looking at the old mansion immersed in the lights, Liu Dong said secretly in his heart.
He is not the only smart person in the world, there is more than one person who realizes the future of the courtyard, so the miscellaneous courtyard that was almost unattended in the past is now attracting more and more investors, such as Liu Dong, who has seen a lot of bars and restaurants on the street that are being renovated along the way.
Although the number is small, it is still a fact that this courtyard house is being gradually developed.
Therefore, whether it is for the treasures buried underground in these courtyard houses, or for his own courtyard hotel to have fewer competitors in the future, Liu Dong has enough reasons to buy these courtyard houses that have not yet attracted more people's attention.
Otherwise, if you want to buy it in the future, I'm afraid you really won't have a chance!
Thinking of this, Liu Dong jumped in the direction, did not go home but returned to the office space of the Beijing branch of Jiahua Hotel Group, before leaving for the United States, Liu Dong also instructed Shao Tiejun to continue the plan to buy a courtyard house. It doesn't matter if it's a loan, Liu Dong has enough collateral anyway, and the prospects for this investment are bright enough!
……
Because he didn't stay in the capital for a long time this time, Liu Dong didn't contact Zhou Bin, but came to Qi Lao the next day.
After Liu Dong's acupuncture treatment, the old man's hypertension and coronary heart disease have been greatly alleviated, and he has been able to move freely on crutches.
"Elder Qi, as long as you are treated for half a year, your body will be able to fully recover, and you will be able to walk normally!" Liu Dong wiped the sweat on his head after taking out 32 silver needles.
After nodding, Old Man Qi Gong lovingly looked at Liu Dong, who had a slightly tired look on his face, and said with gratitude: "Sit down and rest for a while, for me, an old man who has half cut into the ground, you have worked hard!"
"Hehe, I'm young and hot, it's okay! Besides, you are the Taishan Beidou in our calligraphy and painting world, and you can live a long and healthy life, which is a blessing for the entire industry!" Liu Dong said.
"Okay, don't put a top hat on this old man for me! Let's go, I have already reframed Zhang Sengqiu's "Five Elements and Twenty-Eight Constellations" and Tang Yin's "Spring Mountain Companion Road" you left, I'll take you to see it!"
Hearing this, Liu Dong hurriedly helped the old man up.
Of course, the framing skills of the old man Qi Gong naturally did not say, and the two paintings immediately showed their most gorgeous style once they were framed. (To be continued......)
