Chapter Eighty-Seven: Catching Snakes
"Responsive House?"
Slughorn looked curiously around the room, and there was silence as big as a church. It was already night, but the pillars of light cast by the high windows reflected a city with high walls. It was all made up of items that had been hidden by generations of Hogwartsians. The streets and alleys were lined with crumbling piles of broken furniture, perhaps crammed here to hide evidence of mistaken magic, or hidden by house-elves who maintained the castle's decency. There were thousands of books, undoubtedly forbidden, scribbled, or stolen, winged slingshots and wolf-tooth flying saucers, a few of which still hovered limply over the mountains of forbidden objects, some broken bottles containing solidified potions, hats, jewels, cloaks, something like dragon eggshells, a few gagged bottles still glowing with evil light, a few rusty swords and a bloodstained axe.
"It's amazing, I always thought it was just a legend. Albus, do you know this place?" Slughorn exclaimed, "It's amazing, I've never been to this place in all my years at Hogwarts. β
"Hogwarts is a castle full of wonders and secrets. I came in once in the Room of Requirement, in the middle of the night when I was in a hurry to urinate. Dumbledore whispered, "But it wasn't that big at the time, it was just full of all kinds of night pots. Harry had used it last year. β
Harry lowered his head, it wasn't a glorious thing that had even implicated Dumbledore.
"This is the Room of Requirement, one of the most successful revitalizing buildings, and one of the highest applications of Transfiguration and Spiritualism. "You can only find this place when you really need it and get what you want." β
"Sounds good. "But I'd rather go back and rest sooner, I'm older." I can't stay up all night. β
"Horace, I think you're still very young. Dumbledore said. "What's more, this time you're here yourself. β
"Am I here myself?"
Slughorn rolled his eyes at Silver in exasperation. "I wish I was forever young, Albus, but time is not forgiving. β
"Is it okay to leave Professor Trelawney outside?" Harry asked, a little nervous. As soon as he entered, Harry's hairs stood on end, as if danger was imminent at any moment.
"You should worry a little more about yourself, Potter. Snape said scathingly, "The Dark Lord is hiding in a corner right now, watching us, if you're afraid. It's too late to go back, Potter. β
"I'm not afraid!" Harry said.
"I hope so, because I've heard you want to be an Auror. There was a hint of sarcasm on Snape's lips, "But it's not without Aurors who were scared into resignation by the Dark Lord. β
"Severus. Dumbledore said.
Snape stopped talking.
They pass by a troll specimen and find that the troll's hands are somewhat mutilated.
"The incision on this specimen is very new and should have been damaged recently. Silver scrutinized the troll's bare left hand, its palm severed off to the wrist. β
"Did Tom do it? Professor Slughorn said with a forced lightheartedness, "What is he going to do with the hands of trolls." β
"Maybe it's to rejuvenate the body, maybe it's boring. Silver said. "But in short, it's not a good thing for us. β
"I'm not going to do boring things. A cold voice came. "But you're right, it's not a good time for you to come to me.
Dumbledore clenched his wand and stepped forward.
It's Voldemort. He looked even more terrifyingβthe otherwise pale snake face glowed with a disgusting green, and he held a large black-covered magic book in his hand.
Harry couldn't help but stare at the book.
"Let me see who is bothering me, two milky imps and two outdated old men, oh and one of my former loyal men. Are you going to catch me?"
"Of course, you can also choose to turn yourself in, the policy of the Ministry of Magic has always been to confess leniently and resist strictly, I hope you don't make a mistake. Silver said in an official tone.
Voldemort looked at Silver with disdain. "The Silver family is really only liars and thieves, and you really chose to cooperate with Dumbledore. β
"I'm sorry, I don't think Your Excellency is qualified to judge my family, and I didn't expect you, who are only half of the Gaunt blood, to learn the aristocratic tone to the fullest, did my great-grandfather with a bad personality teach you?" Silver shot back unflinchingly. "Speaking of liars and thieves, I'm afraid you're more suited to that title. β
"I hope you're a little better than your great-grandfather Richard, I remember he didn't last a quarter of an hour in my hands. Voldemort threatened.
"I also hope that you will be able to behave better in a moment, there are five of us here...... By the way, have all the injuries caused by your distraction healed you?"
Voldemort's face turned blue (his face was already a little green) and he laughed maniacally.
"You'll understand that five wild dogs can't challenge a lion, so let's get started!"
A red spell shot in Harry's direction, and Harry could feel the power of the spell - and before he could reach it, he felt a hot buzz in his face.
"Super armor!" Dumbledore's protective charm came into play, saving Harry's life.
"Potter, you won't be so lucky every time. Dumbledore, you might as well come to this if you're so nosy. Voldemort's wand swung upward, and five unsightly canine monsters silently appeared in front of Silver and the others. (To be continued......)
