Chapter 54: Ollivander

"Where am I......" Harry woke up with a sharp pain in his head, and found himself in heavy shackles on his hands and feet, and it was pitch black all around.

"Ron, Ron!" Harry suddenly remembered something and shouted. "Where are you?"

"Don't waste any more energy, Mr. Potter." A weak voice said. "This is the deepest dungeon, and there are only two living people, you and me."

"Who are you? Where is it? ”

"I'm right here, let me turn on the lights." Then came the sound of Soso.

The lamp lit up, and it was a tiny magic table lamp. Next to the lamp was a single bed, on which a man lay very haggard, all the bones on his face protruded, and his skin was yellow. The large silver eyes are sunken deep in the sockets, making them even larger. The hands on the blanket looked like skeletons.

"Oh my God, you're Mr. Ollivander! Sorry to bother you. ”

"My dear child," Ollivanders' voice was weak, "it makes me sad to see you here, and you too have been caught by them. ”

"And Ron, Ron was caught and interrogated by them, he won't be fine." Harry said anxiously.

"He should be fine, kid." Ollivander said weakly, "Mr. Weasley is a pure-blood wizard, and at most he will suffer a little, and Malfoy will not kill him." ”

Harry let go of his mind a little, "Mr. Ollivanders, how did you get locked up by them?" ”

"The Adversary himself approached me and wanted me to work for him." "I didn't want to, he kept me alone here for two months and I almost went crazy." ”

Ollivanders sighed, "I'm not a strong-willed wizard, I surrendered and offered to serve the adversary, and I was released to make wands for the adversary's subordinates." I'm sorry, but I really can't help it, I'm just a wandsmith, not a fearless Auror. ”

"You don't have to say that, sir, the Aurors won't be able to stand up to the darkness." Harry said hatefully, apparently remembering Scrimgeour who had betrayed them.

"But why are you locked up here again?" Harry asked.

"Because I offended the devil." Ollivander said weakly, "He's too greedy." ”

"What?"

"Kid, have you ever heard of the Elder Wand? The wand that changed hands through murder. ”

Harry's face turned pale, and he remembered the story of the Deathly Hallows told by Bathilda in Godric's Hollow.

Ollivander said to himself, "It's a wand of unparalleled power, and a wizard with that wand is unmatched." The Adversary seemed to be dealing with some formidable foe, and got the idea on the head of the Elder Wand - I don't know what terrible opponent he was up against, but the idea of the Adversary having the Elder Wand was terrifying enough. ”

"You- do you really think this wand exists? Mr. Ollivander? Harry asked.

"Oh yes," said Ollivander, "yes. There are traces of history at all. Of course, there will be a break in between, a long interruption, it will disappear from people's sight, it will be lost or hidden for a while, but it will always reappear. It has certain recognizable characteristics that will be recognized by those who have studied wandology. There are some written notes, some very obscure, that I and the other wandmakers have studied specially. There is a certain authenticity to those records. ”

"And you- don't you think it could be a legend, or a fiction?" Harry asked hopefully.

"Nope." "As to whether it needs to change hands by murder, I don't know." Its history is bloody, but that may only be because it is such a coveted artifact that it causes a strong ** among wizards. It is immensely powerful, dangerous in the wrong hands, and a very tempting artifact for those of us who study the wand's abilities. ”

"So, Mr. Ollivanders," said Harry, "you told the Adversary that the Elder Wand was with Grigovich, didn't you?" ”

Ollivanders' face became, if possible, even paler, and he looked like a ghost, and he choked with astonishment.

"Never mind how I know," said Harry, "you told the Adversary Elder Wand was with Grigovich, didn't you?" ”

"It was a rumor," Ollivander whispered, "a rumor, many years ago, long before you were born! I believe it was Grigovich himself who said it. As you can imagine, if he is rumored to be researching and copying the properties of the Elder Wand, it would be beneficial for his business. ”

"Yes, you can imagine." Harry said and stood up, "So did he get it?" ”

"That's why I'm locked up here." Ollivander said, "Grigovich's Elder Wand was lost many years ago. The Adversary thought I had fooled him, and with Grigovich, he didn't need me anymore and imprisoned me here. ”

"Grigovich also surrendered?" Harry asked.

"I don't know, it looks more like I'm being controlled by some kind of magic." Ollivander shook his head, "It's weird, because wandsmiths can't make good wands if they're caught in the Imperius Curse, and Grigovich looks willing." ”

"I'm sorry." Ollivander looked pained.

"I know," said Harry, "I really do. Please take a good rest. Thank you for telling me all this. ”

He clenched his fists, "If I can get out, I'll get this debt back for you, Mr. Ollivander." (To be continued......)
