Silver stood on the side of a long, dimly lit room. Many stone pillars carved with coiled snakes towered to support the ceiling that melted into the darkness of the heights, casting long, eerie black shadows on the entire room filled with green and mystery.
Fawkes on Dumbledore's shoulder let out a short, sharp scream. "Beware, Jack, Fox feels very dangerous here. β
"Yes, Professor. After all, this is a Slytherin secret room, and it's hard to guarantee that there won't be any other traps, so it's better to be careful. Silver drew his wand and slowly made his way through the serpent's coiled pillars. Each step is filled with a hollow, loud echo between the four walls of the ghostly buildings.
"Being here for a while is depressing. Dumbledore said. "Salazar Slytherin seems to have a unique knack for architecture. β
As they reached the last pair of stone columns, a statue as tall as the room itself appeared, clinging to the dark wall behind it.
Silver had to crane his neck high to see the great face above: an old, monkey-like face, a long beard that dragged almost all the way to the hem of a stone-carved wizard's robe, and two large gray feet standing on the smooth floor of the room. Between those two feet, face down lay a small figure in a black robe, with a head as red as flames.
"Oh my gosh, that's Ginny. Silver hurried over to Ginny. Silver probed her neck artery with his handβonly a faint beat.
Dumbledore walked over, "How's it going?" Jack. β
"She's not doing a good job, but she's still alive. Silver pointed his wand at Ginny. "Recover quickly. But nothing happened, and Ginny showed no signs of waking up.
Dumbledore took a closer look at Ginny's condition, "She's fine, butβ"
But her soul was dying. A tall, black-headed boy leaned against the nearest pillar and watched them. The boy's silhouette was blurry and strange, as if he were looking at him through a foggy window.
"Professor Dumbledore, long time no see. The boy saluted Dumbledore.
"Tom. Dumbledore greeted him calmly. "I didn't expect you to embark on this path at that time. β
"Professor, I didn't expect that we would meet in such a way, I thought I would meet Harry Potter, the savior who defeated my future self. Tom Riddle said, spinning his wand.
"I don't want to see you either, Tom. Dumbledore was expressionless.
"Don't be so ruthless, Professor. Tom Riddle smiled. "I didn't expect to meet you, but I'm glad to meet you. Professor, you will witness my success on the road to immortality. β
"I'd love to hear how you did that. β
"Oh, it's a boring experience. It took me five years to find the legendary Chamber of Secrets, inheriting what my ancestor Slytherin had left me - a thousand-year-old basilisk. Before I could show what I could do, there was an accident - the Muggle-born girl had a very big impact, and Hogwarts was even considering closing it temporarily. I don't want to see that happen, I love Hogwarts. Tom Riddle said.
"Like, I was really touched to hear that. Dumbledore sneered.
Tom Riddle shook his head. "Professor, it's hard for you to understand my feelings for Hogwarts. I got what I wanted at Hogwarts. The time I spent at Hogwarts was the happiest time of my life. Once Hogwarts closes, I'll have to go back to the Muggle orphanage that annoys me, which I don't want. So in order to stop Hogwarts from being shut down, I had to find a scapegoatβ"
"So you found Hagrid. Silver interjected suddenly.
"That's right. Tom Riddle gave Silver a surprised look. "I uncovered Hagrid. You can imagine what happened to Mr. Armando Dupet. On one side was me, Tom Riddle, who came from a poor but brilliant background, who was both wise and courageous, a school prefect and model student, and on the other hand, a stupid big Hagrid, clumsy, troublemaker, who got into trouble every other week, and raised werewolf cubs under his bed. Sneak into the Forbidden Forest and fight the trolls. But I have to admit that even I didn't expect the plan to go so smoothly. I thought someone would realize that Hagrid couldn't be the heir to Slytherin. It took me five years to figure out the secret room and reveal the secret entrance. Does Hagrid have such a mind, such an ability?"
"Only Professor Dumbledore, you seem to be seeing the situation clearly. Since then, you've been keeping an eye on me, Professor, so that it's hard for me to have another chance to open the Chamber of Secrets. But I don't want to waste all these years of trying to find the secret room. I decided to keep a journal in which I could keep the sixteen-year-old me, so that one day, by luck, I could guide another person in my footsteps to the noble cause of Salazar Slytherin. Tom Riddle said.
"You've actually carried out that wicked reality at the age of sixteen, Tom. Dumbledore's blue eyes burned with rage. "Professor, it's another matter if it's evil or not, but you have to admit it, it's useful, isn't it?" laughed Tom Riddle.
"How did Ginny become like this!"
"Professor, with your wisdom, I think you should have guessed it. Do you need me to elaborate on this?" Tom Riddle looked at Silver, "Oh, there's another kid here, so I'll bother to say it again." β
"It's a long story. The real reason why Ginny Weasley is like this is that she opens up to an invisible stranger and confides all her secrets. β
"Diary," Riddle said, "my diary." For months, little Ginny had been writing her heartfelt words to me, telling me of her distressing troubles and sorrows: how she had been made fun of by her brothers, how she had to wear old robes and carry old books to school, and, she thoughtβ"Riddle's eyes twinkled slyly," that the famous, kind, great Harry Potter would never like her. β
"It's a shame that Harry Potter isn't here today, or I don't know if I would have blushed when I heard the confession of his admirer Ginny?" Riddle chuckled.
"It's so tedious to listen to an eleven-year-old girl talk about her childish troubles," he continued, "but I have the patience to write something in reply to her, and I am kind and understanding. Ginny was so in love with me. Oh, Tom, no one understands me like you. I'm so glad I got this diary, and it's like having a friend to carry in your pocket. β
Riddle let out a cold, shrill laugh, not like a sixteen-year-old came out.
"It's not me boasting, I've always been able to confuse people as much as I want. So, Ginny opened her whole soul to me, and her soul happened to be exactly what I needed. I devoured her most secret fears, her deepest secrets, and my appetite grew. I'm getting stronger, much stronger than little Miss Weasley. Strong enough to reveal a few of my secrets to Miss Weasley, and begin to open a small part of my soul to her. β
"I took Ginny Weasley and opened the chamber. Let her strangle the in the school and scrawl those scary words on the wall. Let her unleash the Slytherin basilisk and attack a couple of Mudbloods, as well as the skinny cat of the Squib. β
Of course, at first she didn't know what she was doing. It's very interesting. Later, the silly little Ginny stopped trusting her diary. She threw the journal away, and Harry Potter interjected at this point, and you can imagine how happy I was, I brought Harry Potter into my memory and showed him how I captured Hagrid. β
"I thought that by taking it slowly, I could take Harry Potter's soul as well. When the diary was opened again, it was Ginny, not Harry Potter, who wrote on it, so imagine how annoyed I was. So, I asked Ginny to write a desperate line on the wall and wait. She struggled desperately, crying and fussing, which was really irritating. But there wasn't much life left in her body: she poured most of her life into the diary, into me, so that I could finally leave the journal. I've been waiting for Harry Potter since Ginny and I got here, but I didn't expect it to be Professor Dumbledore and a student I didn't know. β
Tom Riddle said slowly, "I don't know why you came, but it doesn't matter, I can go see Harry Potter after I get rid of you." Anyway, Professor Dumbledore and I don't have that much grudge. And this student. Riddle paused. "I always felt like I had seen him somewhere, and he gave me a familiar and annoying feeling......"
Dumbledore smiled and said, "Tom, I didn't expect you to be so arrogant, and you may not have the courage to fight me to the death in the future." β
Riddle whispered, "yes, I admit I'm a little afraid of Dumbledore teaching you, mainly because when I was a child, you were the first person to teach me magic, and this psychological shadow has tormented me for a long time, and I would love to remove this psychological shadow- so-"
Riddle paused among the towering stone pillars and looked up at the face of the Slytherin stone statue that was high in the darkness. Riddle opened his mouth and hissed - he was summoning a basilisk!

Dear book friends, I will leave tomorrow to go to my grandfather's house in the countryside, and I will stay for a few days. My grandfather's house doesn't have a computer, and I really don't have the habit of going to an Internet cafΓ©, so I'll stop updating for about four days, and I'll resume updating when I come back. Please don't take it off the shelves, I'm just stopping it for a short time.
