"Jack! You lied to me. Hermione had just walked to the door of the Great Hall with Silver when she looked inside, and she retracted her steps and dragged Silver to a corner.
Her annoyed look was very cute to Silver, "You promised me!
At this moment another girl in a fashionable dress walked by with a Slytherin student in her arms, and the girl glanced at Hermione, who was dressed in ordinary clothes and had a messy head, and then walked by with her head proudly up.
"I'm going to teach her a lesson!" Hermione was furious and tried to pull out her wand and cast a curse on the girl, but Silver quickly stopped her, he didn't want to stab Lou Zi in front of Slughorn. "Hermione, don't be offended, that woman is just that Slytherin's invited friend, she doesn't have invitations like you. β
"You shouldn't lie to me. Hermione said in a shrill voice, "I'm going back, change into my gown and come back!"
"Don't do this, my dear, it's too late. Silver regretted that he shouldn't have teased Hermione, "You really don't have to care too much about other people's outfits, Professor Slughorn doesn't care about that. β
"But I care!" exclaimed Hermione, "I'd be laughed at for years if I wore it to a ball. β
"With me, they don't dare to laugh at you, at most they are jealous of you. β
"No, they're going to laugh at me!" Hermione grabbed her head. "Jack, cast a spell on my head, I hope at least my head won't be as unkempt as it is when I show up at the ball. β
"Butβweren't you opposed to that?"
"It's not all your fault!" Hermione said frantically. "Now I really want to do that. β
"But I don't know that spell at all, my mom is very good at it. Silver blinked, "Why don't I contact her now?"
"How can you do that!"
"Alright, Hermione, don't worry about that. Sylphor pulled Hermione into the auditorium, "No one will dare laugh at you, I promise." β
They came to the Great Hall, where there were an unusually large number of girls. When Sylphor pulled Hermione in, they all seemed to stare at Hermione with resentment. Hermione cowered behind Silver at first, but soon grew emboldened and walked side by side with Silver with her chest held high.
"It's all your fault, you've disgraced me!" Hermione said on tiptoe, leaning closer to Silver's ear.
"Honey, I think you've earned enough face at the Triwizard Tournament's Christmas Ball. Silver threw his arm around Hermione's waist, "It's okay to lose a little bit now." β
Hermione giggled, dodging Silver's clutches, "You always like to talk nonsense, Jack. β
"Where's the party?"
According to the invitation, the main venue was in Slughorn's office. Silver led her up the marble steps, away from the girls' eyes and muttering, "I heard that he invited a vampire to liven up the atmosphere." β
"Vampire?" Hermione laughed, "is this some special guest who livens up the atmosphere?"
"This vampire is the prototype of the main character in a best-selling novel, and Professor Slughorn took a lot of trouble to invite this vampire in - I remember Hogwarts didn't welcome vampires, maybe Headmaster Scrimgeour helped him. β
They had approached Slughorn's office, laughter, music, and loud talking growing in with their footsteps.
I don't know if this was the case, or if it was because of the magic, Slughorn's office was much larger than the average teacher's room. The ceiling and walls are covered with emerald green, crimson and gold draperies, which look like in a large tent. The room was crowded and stuffy, illuminated red by a golden lamp hanging in the center of the ceiling. There are real elves flickering in the lights, and each elf is a bright point of light. In the distance, a loud song sounded like a mandolin, a few talkative old wizards with a mist of pipes on their heads, and house-elves creaked through the jungle of calves, holding heavy silver platters that covered their bodies like roaming little tables.
"Jack, my child, and of course you, beautiful and wise Miss Granger. As soon as Silver and Hermione squeezed through the door, Slughorn shouted, "Come in, come in, there are so many people for you to meet!"
Without saying a word, Slughorn led Silver into the crowd and grabbed Silver's arm tightly. Sylphor took Hermione's hand and dragged her forward, somewhat reluctantly.
"Jack, I want you to meet Elder Worple, my former student and author of the best-selling novel Blood Brothers: My Life as a Vampire - and, of course, his friend Bloodny. β
Wolple was a small, bespectacled man who grabbed Silver's hand and held it eagerly. The vampire Bloodnie was tall and thin, with black circles under his eyes, and he looked tired, and a group of girls stood next to him, curious and excited.
"I'm so glad Jack Silver!" said Wauple, glaring at Silver's face with short-sighted eyes, "It's not easy to meet you, future head of the Silver family. Can you tell me why you want to liquidate your assets in England? My friends say it's because the Silver family is pessimistic about the current state of affairs in England, and if I can figure this out, I'll sell 100,000 copies of my next book!"
"Well," Silver said, "of course not, it's just a normal capital operation, and the benefits of expanding overseas markets are much higher than at home - not to mention that the Silver family still has a new industry in China?" (To be continued......
