Chapter 377: The Huge Mausoleum
Chapter 377: The Huge Mausoleum
………… After saying goodbye to Mr. Liu's family and being sent to the entrance of the village by the enthusiastic villagers, Liu Dong rode his motorcycle and drove towards Guan's house along the already familiar and winding road.
Ride for more than ten minutes, then cross the Longshu River, after walking for another five or six minutes, the altitude is about two hundred meters, but the slope is extremely gentle, covering an area of 28 square kilometers of the low mountain is still in sight, this low mountain does not have a name, because the mountain is exposed with a large number of rocks, can not be cultivated, so it is just a nameless barren hill, but if you want to rush out from the Guanjia, you must bypass here, and then go to Fenglong Mountain, bypass the Longya Waterfall with a drop of 30 meters.
Looking at the low hills in front of him, as well as the bare rocks that had been washed out of the ground by water, Liu Dong couldn't help but have a thought in his heart, will the tomb of King Zhuang be here?
However, despite this suspicion, Liu Dong also knew that the possibility was not very large. Because this nameless mound, it is too high. Generally, there are detailed regulations on how high the sealed soil of the tombs in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period can be piled. Just like the bronze, the Son of Heaven has nine tripods and eight tripods, and the princes have seven tripods and six tripods.
Moreover, the large tombs of the pre-Qin period were rarely more than 100 meters long, even if they were at the imperial level. The enclosure of the mausoleum of the famous First Emperor is only 120 meters, and after more than 2,000 years of wind and rain erosion, it is now less than 100 meters.
Therefore, when Liu Dong looked around for King Zhuang's tomb in Guan Jiachong, he didn't suspect this place at all.
However, now Liu Dong is about to leave here, and he just happened to come here. Naturally, I also had the intention of finding out. So. The mind moved. Relic Yuanguang naturally took him as the center of the circle, and within a radius of 100 meters, all the things inside this spherical space were clearly displayed in Liu Dong's mind.
"Uh......h Click......click...... Boom! ”
Accompanied by this series of noises, when he looked at it again, Liu Dong was already lying on the ground. And the new Jialing motorcycle he had just bought for less than half a month had already turned the front wheels crooked to the ground, and the mirrors on the front of the car, the basket, and the plastic plates on the motorcycle to protect the engine, as well as the water baffles behind the wheels, were all scattered from the car.
As for the sketchboard easel behind Liu Dong's car seat, as well as the mountain goods in half a snakeskin bag, they are even more rotten, flying and flying, and none of them are complete.
"Huh!" Liu Dong grinned and turned over from the ground and sat up. patted the dirt on his body, although he hit it quite hard just now. However, he was physically strong, but he was not injured.
Liu Dong, who stood up, did not go to help his motorcycle, but immediately released his relics Yuanguang. And after realizing the qiē inside the relics Yuanguang, Liu Dong's face immediately became extremely shocked.
Terracotta Warriors!
A large number of terracotta warriors and horses holding weapons, wearing armor, and majestic expressions appeared in Liu Dong's mind.
In addition to the famous Qin-Ling Terracotta Warriors and Horses known as the 'Eighth Wonder of the World', there are also 7 places such as the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit of Emperor Jingdi of Shaanxi and Western Han Dynasty Hanyang Mausoleum, the Terracotta Warriors Pit of Zhou Bo and Zhou Yafu Father and Son Tomb of Shaanxi and West Yangjiawan, the Burial Warriors Pit of Liu Bang Chang Mausoleum in Shaanxi and the Terracotta Warriors Pit of Lion Mountain in Jiang-Suxu-Zhou.
However, in addition to the Qinling Terracotta Warriors and Horses that fit the human body, the terracotta figurines in the remaining seven terracotta warriors and horses pits are only half of the height ratio of real people, or even smaller.
But even so, these terracotta figurines are still an irreproducible wonder in the archaeological world.
Now, the terracotta warriors and horses presented in Liu Dong's mind are no different from the Qinling Terracotta Warriors, they are all the kind of soldiers who conform to the proportions of the human body, and they are all about one meter seven in height, of course, some are tall. Moreover, the firing process of these terracotta figurines is not inferior to that of Qin figurines, and they also have the characteristics of 'thousands of people and thousands of faces, thousands of people and thousands of colors'.
At this time, Liu Dong didn't care about any motorcycles at all, but surrounded the entire nameless hill and carefully inspected it with relics yuanguang.
By the time Liu Dong sat on a white boulder on the top of an unnamed hill, nearly three hours had passed.
"It's amazing!" After taking a few deep breaths in a row and calming down his mood, Liu Dong still said this sentence with a slight tremor all over his body.
The famous Qin Shi-Huang Mausoleum, he has never seen it with his own eyes, although he knows about its grand scale from books, but he can't see it in person, so he naturally doesn't have too deep feelings.
But this time is different, the scale of the underground mausoleum of King Chuzhuang is too large. Liu Dong really couldn't believe that under this inconspicuous hill under his feet, there were archaeological excavations that were enough to sensational the world.
Eight huge terracotta warriors and horses pits, lined up in a neat and orderly battle formation, into a gossip shape to guard the central main mound, attached mound, chariot and horse pit, burial pit and sacrificial pit.
There are nearly 5,000 terracotta figurines and terracotta horses of similar size in the terracotta warriors and horses, which are also divided into chariots, cavalry and infantry. There are both kneeling and standing postures.
However, compared with the Qinling Terracotta Warriors and Horses holding bronze weapons, these terracotta warriors and horses are all pottery weapons, and even many of them are wooden. But even that is amazing.
In addition to these terracotta warriors and horses, there are 21 chariot and horse pits for burial, the largest one has a length of more than 300 meters and a width of 200 meters. The smallest one is more than 8,000 square meters, and there are more than 300 chariots and horses accompanying the funeral.
In addition, there are also three burial pits, although Liu Dong did not count them too carefully, but he would not think that it would be less than five hundred.
Mozi. "Under the Festival Burial" records, "The Son of Heaven kills and martyrs, the heavy is hundreds, and the widows are dozens." Obviously, in the tomb of King Chuzhuang, the number of martyrs is not inferior to the Son of Heaven, and even surpasses.
And most of the burial pits contain a small number of bronze and jade objects, as well as lacquered wood objects. If these burial pits are really excavated, I am afraid that there will be no less than 20,000 cultural relics alone.
And in the whole tomb, what surprised Liu Dong the most was the main mound!
It's really too big!
Moreover, the mausoleum of King Chuzhuang is still a rare 'Ya' shaped tomb!
The sub-zigzag tomb, also known as the sub-zigzag tomb, is one of the ancient Chinese tomb forms. The burial chamber of the zigzag tomb is a large square or zigzag pit with a tomb passage on each side. Its shape is large-scale and extraordinary.
The tombs of the higher nobles in ancient China were equipped with tomb passages around the tombs, which could be divided into sub-shaped tombs, medium-shaped tombs and A-shaped tombs according to the number of tombs, and these names were derived from the characters "Ya", "Zhong" and "A" respectively according to the shape of the tomb plane.
The number of tombs represents the level of class status, and the zigzag tombs with four tombs are of the highest grade, which belongs to the scale of emperor-level tombs; This is followed by a zigzag tomb with two burial lanes and a zigzag tomb with a burial aisle, which were used by princes and nobles.
With a total length of 300 meters and an area of 5,334 square meters, the scale has far exceeded the tombs of the princes and monarchs of the pre-Qin Dynasty, 10 times larger than the tomb of the Shang King in He-Nan'an-Yang, and 20 times larger than the No. 1 Han Tomb of Mawangdui in Hu-Nanchang-Sha, which is 20 times larger than the No. 1 Han Tomb of Bao-Ji Qingong, which is a tomb with the word 'Zhong'.
At this moment, the tomb of King Chuzhuang under the observation of Liu Dong Relic Yuanguang is even grander than the No. 1 tomb of Qin Gong. The central coffin alone has a length of 90 meters, a width of 75 meters, a height of nearly 20 meters, and an area of 6,700 square meters, which is larger than the entire Qin Gong No. 1 Tomb and 30 times that of the famous Zeng Marquis Yi Tomb.
In addition to the coffin in the center, there are also 8 transepts on both sides of the four surrounding tombs, the two largest of which are the longest on the south side, with a total area of 800 square meters. The smallest of the 8 ear chambers is more than 200 square meters.
In addition, this is located 35 meters underground, and is covered by a heavy mixed soil layer of nearly 200 meters high, mixed with stones, sand and soil, after 2,500 years of vicissitudes of wind and rain but has not been crushed, is because this huge tomb of King Chuzhuang is not simply a wooden coffin like other pre-Qin tombs, but a stone coffin like the Mausoleum of the First Emperor.
This plus the tomb, the ear chamber, the total area of more than 10,000 square meters of super luxury tomb, the whole coffin of the bottom plate, wall board, cover plate of more than 7,500 giant rectangular wood paved piling up, the use of timber Nanmu up to more than 25,000 cubic meters. All the nanmu coffins are connected to each other with a mixture of lime, clay and glutinous rice.
The four walls of the Nanmu coffin board are built with stones with a height and width of more than 50 centimeters, a length of two meters, and a weight of nearly three tons, and the stones built in this way have three layers, but the thickness of the two layers of rocks is more than 150 centimeters.
In addition to the bottom, there are two layers of the same large stone bars under the bottom plate of the coffin, but the length of these stone bars reaches 15 meters, but the weight of one such stone bar reaches 15 tons, which is hardly worse than the pyramid of Khufu in Egypt, and it is not known how these heavy stone bars were placed at the bottom of the tomb under the backward productivity conditions of the pre-Qin period.
And this is not the most exaggerated, the three layers of stone strips that really act as a cover plate are heavier, especially the outermost layer, the length and width, are more amazing, almost each piece weighs less than 20 tons, Liu Dong simply lost, like this ten meters long, the width of the heavy stone strip of eighty centimeters has more than 500, I really don't know how much manpower and material resources King Chuzhuang spent on pondering these huge stones.
Of course, in addition to these wooden coffins and boulder strips, the outside, especially the top of the tomb, is also covered with three layers of bamboo mats, on the bamboo mat, there are up to three meters of green plaster mud, and the same underground tomb is also three meters of green plaster mud, but the four walls of the tomb are more than six meters of green plaster mud, which is really too thick. Perhaps only the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is more exaggerated than here.
In addition, in order to fully protect against moisture, thick charcoal is placed between the bamboo mats, boulder strips, and the innermost coffin.
It is precisely by virtue of such a strong burial chamber that the magnificent King of Chuzhuang can withstand the heavy sealing soil of nearly two hundred meters above his head. (To be continued......)
