Chapter 333: Little Family Jasper!【Fourth Update!Asking for Votes】

After breakfast, Zhang Feng rushed to his next stop - the town of Sully, the gateway to the castle complex of the Loire Valley, naturally, the castle of Sully is also the first stop of the castle complex.

The Château de Sully is located at the intersection of several roads: three by land and one by water, and this unique geographical advantage made it the commercial center of Sologne and Berry, hence the castle built, but it is not known which date it dates back to the earliest.

In 1928, this medieval fortress was classified as a cultural monument. The castle retains its unique characteristics: its moats are still filled with water, and its huge towers and majestic towers have conical roofs.

Zhang Feng also learned about the illustrious and mysterious life history of Sully Castle from a special channel.

At the end of the 14th century, the Temoi family became the new owners of the Sully estate, and he commissioned a tower from the architect Raymond du Temple, to defend the upper course of the Loire. This tower is the foundation of today's castle.

In 1602, Max Milende Bettner, Marquis of Rosney and minister of Henry IV, bought the estate of Sully, the most illustrious owner in the history of the castle.

Born in 1559 at the Château de Rothny (Yvelines) on the Seine, Max Millen de Bettner was a Protestant who escaped the night of the Saint-Bartholomew's Day massacre in 1572.

Beginning in 1598, after 30 years of the devastation of the wars of religion, France began a new development, and as a chief minister of the court and a loyal friend of the king, he wore many hats and responsibilities (he held the important position of treasurer in particular). He cleaned up finances, developed agriculture and commerce, strengthened defenses, and built a transportation network.

At the same time, he also bought a large estate for himself, and in 1602 he bought the Château de Sully-sur-Loire, and the construction of a huge project began.

The year 1606 was the peak of Max Millende Bettner's life, when he became duke, a vassal of France, and from then on he was named after his domain, which he was known in the annals as the Duke of Sully.

Henry IV died in 1610, and in 1611 he gradually resigned from various positions to devote himself to the management of his vast wealth and to write his memoirs, which were printed in Sully in 1638.

Max Milende Bettner died in 1641 at the age of 82 at the chteau de Villebon (Earl-Tours) at his castle in Villeben.

For nearly four centuries, the castle was owned by the descendants of the Duke of Sully's family.

Listed as a historical monument in 1928, the Château de Sully-sur-Loire was purchased by the Provincial Council of Loire in 1962.

The interior of Sully Castle is not to be missed, and the highlights:

- Duke of Sully's suite

- Burial chamber (remains of Duke Sully and his wife)

- Two medieval halls in their original appearance (14th century): statue of the Duke of Sully, the hall with its original decoration (fireplace, window openings, beams) and 13 portraits of family members.

- Staircase of Honor, a staircase made by Sully is beautifully crafted to show the glory of his life everywhere, and it is in this castle that the Duke of Sully wants to show his glorious life.

- The King's Bedchamber, decorated in the style of Louis XIV, with two large 17th-century tapestries adding luxury and dignity to the Bedchamber.

The new rooms that have been renovated and can be visited by visitors:

- Butler's office, decorated in 19th century style

- 18th-century suite with Pushka tapestry, 19th-century wood decoration, fireplace and furniture from the era.

- Madame's bedroom or small salon, a bedroom in the style of Charles X, with a feminine interior full of feminine beauty.

- Finally, there is the dining room, the most striking thing in the dining room is the ornate fireplace, decorated with coats of arms and symbols of nobility.

It's a pity that Zhang Feng didn't have the opportunity to visit because of something wrong here, and left this nostalgic town after just going around the castle in a hurry.

Before seeing other castles, he thought that Sully Castle was really magnificent, but when Chambord Castle suddenly appeared in front of him, Zhang Feng had an epiphany about the difference between a local tyrant and a royal family.

The peculiar and dreamy roof of Chambord Castle is messy and coordinated, which attracts Zhang Feng's amazement.

Château Chambord is more than just a castle. It is an extraordinary work of architecture, a technical achievement, a stone behemoth...... It was the dream of the young King François I.

François I was a keen sporter and hunter since he was a child, and from the beginning of his reign he decided to build a palace here, which began in 1519, when the king reached the age of 25, and lasted for hundreds of years, through several kings such as François I and his son Henry II, until the time of Louis XIV, the Sun King.

It has 440 halls, 282 chimneys, 77 staircases...... This majestic castle is undoubtedly a symbol and exemplary work of literary and artistic revival art.

It is said that a certain monarch did not like Chambord for the following reasons: too many windows, too many windows, too many windows, dear! And Fried Milk Powder really wished that the room he lived in later was full of windows! It had to be the height of a French house!

Not to be missed at Château de Chambord: the double spiral staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci, the suite of François I, the suite of Louis XIV, the royal chapel, the terrace......

To truly understand Chambord, also visit the forest around Chambord, "a forest as big as Paris" covering an area of 5,540 hectares, chosen by François I as a hunting ground for his passion, and today many wild animals (elk, wild boars, ospreys, salamanders...... )。

At a humble coffee shop on the outskirts of Château de Chambord, Zhang Feng ordered some espresso and dessert for lunch, and quietly watched this masterpiece under the blue velvety sky.

Drive from Château de Chambord to the next castle: the Royal Château de Blois.

Unlike other castles, the Château de Blois is located in the small town of Blois, so it does not have the momentum of other castles in the wilderness, and looks like a small jasper.

The town of Blois is located close to the Blois River, and its streets and buildings have a medieval feel. Zhang Feng parked the car and strolled down the alley towards the castle, rarely meeting tourists along the way, let alone local residents, and there was a feeling of doing whatever he wanted.

The Royal Château de Blois is similar to the royal courtyard houses of China, but the four wings are of different ages and styles, representing the most popular designs of the construction period. Many anecdotes of Louis XII, François I, Henri III took place here.

The statue of Louis XII in the alcove above the flaming gate on the façade is said to have been made in a one-to-one ratio between Louis XII and his BMW.
