Since Yu Rongguang has a martial arts background, it is completely possible to add some fighting scenes, and then use the editing techniques of jump cut, flash flash, and slow motion combination to make this action scene of gunfight and fighting more aggressive and violent. Force aesthetic style.
Of course, if you just make some modifications to the action scene of "Big Daddy", it is actually a bit mediocre, and Xu Jing's changes are more in the character of the character. Like the style of his film, the character of "Big Daddy" in the original version is also dyed with slapstick, which makes the character's own justice decrease a lot, not to mention, and makes the film lack the seriousness of a real superhero.
For example, from the daily conversation between 'Big Daddy' and 'Super Killer Girl', it can be found that the training of 'Super Killer Girl' is more for revenge, rather than for the just trial of evil, and the character has lost too much superhero color.
This is naturally what Xu Jing does not want to see, after all, this is not the West with a rich superhero theme, there is no more than him, and there is no less than him. Xu Jing hopes to create an image of an oriental superhero through 'Big Daddy', even if he doesn't survive one episode, he must be a real superhero.
In addition, the original 'Big Daddy' was extremely strict when he trained 'Super Killer Girl', but the dialogue between the two seemed like a loving father, which did not conform to normal logic.
Therefore, in Xu Jing's design, he completely abandoned the contradictory character of the original 'Big Daddy', but changed it to a father who is very strict on the surface, using cruel and crazy methods to train the 'Super Killer Girl' into a killing weapon, but behind the scenes, he cares for the 'Super Killer Girl' and escorts him behind his back when he is on a mission.
To a certain extent, this kind of character design is also more in line with the definition of 'strict father' in the Confucian cultural circle.
