Among these simple medieval art buildings, the former Mongolian architecture of the Assumption Cathedral is the most famous one, perched on a high cliff on the banks of the Oka River. It was built by the legendary Grand Duke Andrei Bogolyubsky, who moved the center of power in Ancient Rus' from Kiev to northeastern Russia, which led to the relocation of the capital to Moscow.

The cathedral was built in 1158 using white stone and modeled after a Byzantine brick church. Simple and solemn, decorated with elaborate carvings, it was an innovation at the time.

Behind the Church of the Assumption, Zhang Feng saw a simple white building. It is the Basilica of St. Demetrius.

The church was built between 1193 and 1197 and is unique in Russia for its stone carvings. If Vladimir is a small city away from the hustle and bustle, then Suzdal must be an ideal country that has awakened from its slumber but disappeared in the dust of time, sitting quietly in the cracks of time.

The Kamenka River is a jewel in this ideal place. This extremely miniature river flows silently across the land of Suzdal, adding an aura to these ancient primitive style buildings. When you are attracted by the countless churches in front of you, surrounded by green, such as a sea of birch forests or meadows of low grass, the Kamenca River is flowing forward without losing time.
