As mentioned earlier, conversion is to turn back, and to rely on is to rely on. Buddha statues and scriptures are just dead things, and they are difficult to protect themselves, so how can they rely on them? Monks and sammonies may not be bound to ordinary people, and they are still confused and upside down, so how can they be relied on? Therefore, knowing that the two-legged respect of blessing and wisdom does not refer to the Buddha statue, but the Buddha nature, which has its own nature, that is, the name of taking refuge; the departing from desires and evil views does not refer to the scriptures, but to the correct Dharma, and the correct Dharma mind is held, that is, the name is refuge; all troubles and dusts are not stained with non-referring to the Shamen, but are pure, and the mind is pure, that is, the name is refuge and purity. Sense, positive, pure, self-nature, not pretending to ask for others, but looking from within.

Therefore, I say that the three refuge in self-nature, taking refuge in the Buddha, enlightenment and not delusion, taking refuge in the law, righteousness but not evil, and taking refuge in the Sangha, pure and unstained. Feel but not lose the two-legged respect, the righteous but not the evil and the desire to respect, the pure but not the stain of the people. Taking refuge in the Three Jewels of Self-Nature is the name of true refuge.

However, the poor monks have never said that the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha are useless, and they should not be contemptuous of the Three Jewels of the Abbot. It is necessary to know that the abbot of the Three Jewels is used to express the Dharma, seeing the Buddha statue is to remind oneself of the current enlightenment, seeing the scriptures is to remind oneself of the present mindfulness, and seeing the Shamen is to remind oneself of the present purity, which is the merit of the abbot of the Three Jewels. If one is born lightly, self-destructs one's precepts, separates one's thoughts, and clings to arise again, it is the karma of creating samsara, not cultivating the cause of birth. ”
