The realm of pure light and shadow is located on the outer side of the real world, but a corner of the physical universe can still be seen in the form of divine magic, and the shadow of the void, also known as the "void", takes the form of shadow magic.

The four elements of fire, wind, earth, and water are the basic structure of all matter in the physical universe. Most of the many shamanic cultures seek to live in harmony with the elements, or force them to submit to them, and the power to carry out their intentions is the soul and decay. The one who wishes to establish a balance with the elements will act on the power of the soul (sometimes referred to as the "fifth element" by the shamans, or the "qi" by the warrior monks), and this life-giving force itself can be used to interconnect and unite all things that exist in the world. The power of decay is used by shamans who want to force the elements into submission in order to use them as their weapons.
