Chapter 8: Flowing Water and Ambition
There are only ten days before the grand ceremony, the time is tight, the task is heavy, and although Yuying has almost mastered it, she is not so skilled after all, and if she can practice for a while, she can be more proficient, so she will use the noon time to start practicing. The sun was hot, hanging in the sky, the sun was golden, but it was very spicy.
Yuying sat on the bench, there is a guqin on the desk in front of her, the guqin is also known as the yaoqin, the lyre, the jade qin, is one of the oldest plucked musical instruments in China, as early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the sound of the guqin is very unique, the average person can feel the quiet and distant guqin when listening to the music.
"Quiet" can be said to be the biggest feature of the qin sound, and the qin sound is also known as the "ancient sound" and "the sound of heaven and earth".
The "quietness" here has two meanings, one is that the piano needs a quiet environment, and the other is that the piano needs a quiet state of mind. If the heart is not quiet, the piano will be shocked, and the timbre will not be good.
The guqin has three tones, and all three tones are very quiet.
The sound is loose and distant, quiet and far-reaching, which makes people think of ancient times; its overtones are like natural sounds, giving people a feeling of coldness into the fairy; the sound is very rich, the lingering rhyme under the fingers, subtle and long, sometimes like human language, can be dialogued, sometimes like the mood of the human heart, ethereal and changeable.
The overtones are like the sky, the sound is like a person, and the scattered sound is like the earth, which is called the three sounds of heaven, earth and man.
Therefore, although the guqin is a device, it has three sounds, which can form the thoughts of human feelings, and can also reach the principles of heaven and earth and the universe. In the interlacing of the three tones of guqin music, long or short, all the mountains and flowing water, the sound of the wind, the water and clouds, the insects and birds, the complex thoughts of human feelings and the principles of religion and philosophy can be expressed as much as possible.
Guqin has ten famous songs, namely Guangling San, Alpine Flowing Water, Pingsha Falling Geese, Yangchun White Snow, Yangguan Three Stacks, Plum Blossom Three Alleys, Drunken Fish Singing Night, Hu Ji Eighteen Beats, Guan Shanyue, and Ambush on Ten Sides (one of which has many theories). At that time, the top 10 songs were in different versions, and they were constantly changing, and the repertoire changed over time.
Yuying sat there, the movements in her hands kept dancing, and now she is playing the "Flowing Water" in "Alpine Flowing Water", "Flowing Water" makes full use of "overtones, rolling, whisking, squeezing, note, up, down" and other fingerings, depicting the various dynamics of flowing water, expressing the intention of flowing water, the meaning of the wise man enjoying water.
There is another story in "Mountains and Flowing Water" that has been widely circulated, that is, the story of Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi, which has been passed down through the ages.
"Alpine Flowing Water" is divided into "Alpine Flowing Water" and "Flowing Water".
The first paragraph of "Flowing Water": the introduction part. The melody will constantly jump and change the pitch in a wide vocal range, and the faint finger shift will alternate with the real tone, and the melody will appear and disappear from time to time. As if I had seen the top of a high mountain, standing there, it was as if I had seen clouds and mist, and after the light wind blew, the clouds would drift and fluctuate.
The second and third sections: with clear overtones and lively rhythms, it is like "the sound of the murmur, the cold current of the secluded world, the cold of the clear and the cold of the pine roots." "Rest your heart and then listen quietly, and a feeling of pleasure arises spontaneously. The third segment is a repetition of an octave of the second segment, which omits the tail of the second segment. It feels very connected.
Yuying has already played here, the rhythm is natural, but there is always something missing, after all, she has not felt it herself, only rely on imagination, it is difficult to achieve, and what is missing should be a kind of soul.
Stanzas 4 and 5: It's like the melody of a song, "its rhyme is melodious, like flowing water." ā
Sixth section: At the beginning, it is a melody with ups and downs, with large ups and downs. Then there is a continuous "rushing, slow whisking" as the sound of flowing water, and above it plays a rising and descending tone, the two are cleverly combined, really like "the view of the extreme boiling, with the image of the dragon's roar." Listen quietly, as if sitting on a dangerous boat across the Wu Gorge, dizzy, thrilling, several suspects that this body has been running in the mountains, when thousands of ravines are contending. ā
The previous rhythm needs to be well controlled, and the following ones need to be carefully controlled.
The seventh paragraph: in the high-pitched area of the bead-like overtone group, first descending and then rising, the momentum will be greatly reduced, just like "the light boat has passed, the momentum is like a feint, sometimes the aftermath of the rock, sometimes the swirl is slightly wet." ā
Section 8: The change reappears with the previous melody like the song, and yet another musical material is added. Slightly fast and powerful, the music is full of enthusiasm. The sound of flowing water at the end of the paragraph is recalled, which is evocative.
Section 9: The carol-like melody is triggered from low to upward, full of passion. At the end of the paragraph, the seed material from the fourth paragraph appears again, and finally ends on the palace tone. The eighth and ninth sections belong to the "revival" part of the guqin music structure.
The overtones of the epilogue make people immersed in the thoughts of "Yangyang, the hope of the ancient tune".
The reason why these tunes are famous is that they are not only full of soul, but also have beautiful tunes and are completed in one go, so they will be passed down through the ages.
Yuying played and played with her heart very carefully, after all, this is a famous song that has been passed down through the ages, and it has a deep meaning, symbolizing the endless friendship between Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi, this friendship happened to be quoted by her playing the piano to her friendship with Yi'an, this friendship may be different, but it is also related.
Yuying is very attentive, she imagines the story of Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi, and wants to find some meaning from it, so she will work hard to find that artistic conception.
Even to imagine the sound of flowing water, the kind of gurgling water slowly flowing out of the mountain stream, that wonderful artistic conception is enough to make people intoxicated.
Just when she felt a hint of that kind of artistic conception, the tents in her room opened suddenly, and a person broke in angrily, with his hands on his hips, glaring at Yuying.
This person is Hua Ying'er, Hua Ying'er looked at Yuying, the elegant piano sound was disconnected, Yuying raised her head and looked at Hua Ying'er at the door, she frowned, she said: "What are you doing, come in for no reason......"
"What am I doing, what have you done! It's noon, you play a broken piano, noisy, what are you doing, it's endless!" said Hua Ying'er with her hands on her hips.
Yuying's brows furrowed even deeper, and said: "My piano sound doesn't seem to be high, your room is so far away, it will definitely not disturb you, even if it disturbs you, Yuying is here to apologize to you and give you compensation, is that good?"
"Not good!" said Shadow savagely.
Yuying suddenly chuckled, she knew that Hua Ying'er was deliberately making trouble for herself, and she didn't want to make compromises, so she immediately said, "Then what do you say?
