Only with the precepts in place can you ensure that your practice does not deviate from the path of the Buddha and is on the right path.

If this bucket breaks, then the water inside is leaking. ”

"The purpose of the precepts is, to put it bluntly, 'to stop evil and do good.'

Only by stopping evil deeds can we diligently cultivate the good Dharma, and only by diligently practicing the precepts and obeying the Buddha system can we make the body, mouth, and mind pure and untainted in the precepts, and will not fall into the evil path.

Therefore, the precepts are set to learn the three wisdoms, and the precepts are the first. ”

Just like some people have always obeyed the constraints of morality and law, if they have always adhered to it, then maybe they can stick to it for a lifetime. But after a breakthrough, then this constraint is not so unbreakable in their hearts, and the constraint will be weakened a lot.

For example, when they embezzle for the first time, they can no longer hold back, this is the reason.

But the two of them were ordered to go out to do errands, and after they were captured, they were drugged to break the vows, not subjectively wanting to break the vows.

This made the two of them feel both painful and conflicted.

"Pointing directly to the heart, seeing the nature to become a Buddha. Both of them said.

These eight words explain the true meaning of Zen Buddhism, and it is also the biggest difference between Zen Buddhism and other sects.

"So what does the precept have to do with seeing nature?"

Su asked, "The precepts are tools, tools for you to maintain a pure mind and find your true self. It is only within the precepts that you will not go astray and will always be within the reach of the bucket. ”

"If I can keep my true heart, then will breaking the vows still have an effect on me? Everything in the world is empty, and breaking the vows is also illusory, and breaking the vows on the surface cannot affect my original heart, so what?"

The two of them pondered, and their eyes showed a sudden expression, and they said appropriately to Su Wen: "Understood, thank you abbot." ”

"Don't thank me yet, can you two keep your heart?" asked Su Wen.

Both of them said firmly: "Hold it!"

"You two can keep a pure heart!"

"Where are the troubles?"

You can't go down on the mountain, you don't see people all year round, and after a long time, you will naturally put down many things that affect the mood of the two.

Although it is lonely and boring, it is unbearable for ordinary people, but it is not a bad thing for the two of them.

"Willing to be punished!" both said.

Su Wen nodded: "You two go back first, make arrangements, and go up the mountain after breakfast tomorrow to find a place to stay." As for the thatched hut, it was built by yourselves, and it was part of the chase. ”

"And again, what I say to you both today must not be said to anyone else. ”

Just like Dao Ji said: Wine and meat pass through the intestines, and the Buddha stays in his heart.

However, there are two more sentences at the end: If the world learns from me, it is like entering the devil's way.

These few words speak for themselves.
