Chapter 334: Obon (Part II)

It wasn't until 6 p.m., when the number of people going up the mountain began to increase, and it was the last puja, and many visitors came here in the evening after a morning of rituals, an afternoon of rest, and then a return in the evening. Although www.biquge.info today is July 15, it stands to reason that you shouldn't go out at night, but since you are going to the temple, everyone doesn't have too much to worry about. Not to mention that there is a program of river lanterns after the festival in the evening, and many people have bought river lanterns of various shapes at the bottom of the mountain.

In the past few days, a few vendors selling river lanterns at the foot of the mountain have been out of stock, making them make a small profit.

They thought that they had rubbed the light of the temple and were blessed by the Buddha, and when they collected the stalls in the evening, several people made an appointment to go up the mountain to participate in the puja together, and each prepared a few hundred yuan for almsgiving.

At seven o'clock in the evening, the sky had begun to darken, and rows of candles were lit around the entire venue, illuminating the entire venue.

Two more barriers were pulled between the crowd and the candles to prevent a fire from happening if someone got too close and knocked the candle down.

Su Wen sat in front of the altar in a black robe until someone whispered in his ear, "Abbot, the time is up." He opened his eyes and got up from the ground.

After stepping onto the altar, he first glanced down, and there was a dense crowd of human heads. According to preliminary estimates, there were at least 4,000 people, which was much more than he expected. Because on this day, it is customary for people not to go out at night, but I didn't expect so many people to come to the evening puja.

Su Wen turned his head to face the altar, first lit the written text with fire, and then recited the Heart Sutra, praying for the guidance of the Buddha and Bodhisattva in the lower realm.

"When contemplating the bodhisattva of self-reliance, when he walks in the deep prajnaparamita, he sees that the five aggregates are empty, and he overcomes all suffering. Relics, color is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color, color is emptiness, emptiness is color, and it is the same when you want to know it......"

This time, the chanting was different from the morning, which was more like a script, just a ceremony, and the audience didn't feel much. At this time, together with the scriptures in Su Wen's mouth, all the monks under the altar followed, and the superimposed sound immediately spread to the ears of everyone present, as if it was directly conveyed to the bottom of their hearts. At the same time, the superposition of sounds has a sense of emptiness and solemnity, which shakes everyone's hearts.

Then everyone's mood that was a little bored because of the crowding calmed down, and the whole body didn't feel so hot. Many people were immersed in the chanting at this time, and whispered along with the chanting.

As the people below followed the recitation, the voices in the whole field became louder and more solemn, and the voices of the people rose to the sky as if they were soaring into the sky.

It wasn't until everyone recited the Heart Sutra three times that they stopped, Su Wen bowed to the Buddha statue for eleven years, and then came to the altar of lonely souls, picked up the sparse text written on yellow paper from it, lit it on the candle, and then watched the flames grow stronger and stronger, and said:

"May the good roots of my work be so that all sentient beings will be able to attain two qualities, and that they will be attained by the birth of blessings and wisdom.

May this kindness make sentient beings abandon reincarnation for no benefit, and practice the deep path of Vajra Yoga to achieve the wheel of time as soon as possible.

May all the special deeds I have done be dedicated, and may I indulge all sentient beings and go to the Buddha Temple of Immeasurable Light.

How the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas dedicate, so do I.

May all the unjust relatives and creditors be liberated, and they will have no chance to prove Bodhi. ”

As Su Wen's last sentence fell, the only remaining burning Shuwen in his hand was thrown into the air by him, and it was reduced to ashes before it landed.

As the last glimmer of fire from the ashes was extinguished, a light breeze suddenly rose in the entire hall, blowing the candles around the hall to light and dark.

With this gust of wind, everyone in the venue felt cold, and many people exhaled softly.

Lu Pingzhi only felt a tightness on his arm, and his girlfriend grabbed his arm tightly. And he was a little happy in his heart.

The wind was completely covered with a cloth curtain on all sides, so how could there be a wind in the venue? Although this gust of wind was not cold, it gave goosebumps to many people.

If there is nothing strange in the Pure Heart Temple, Lu Pingzhi can only stay away. Because he can't prove that there is, and he can't prove that there is not, he can only be half-convinced. And when the Pure Heart Temple really showed something outstanding, he could put his mind at ease.

In fact, it's just that he is not in a high position, and it is difficult to distinguish the relationship between truth and falsehood in many things he knows.

If the level of contact between the two princes is higher, and there are more reliable sources of information, the confidence in the Pure Heart Temple is much greater.

The monks of the Xingzi generation had already experienced such a thing once on the night when they eliminated the karma of Xingzang, and at this time, they felt this gust of wind and the light of the candle that was uncertain, and immediately wondered in their hearts what had been recruited? Could it be that the abbot had really recruited those lonely souls and wild ghosts?

Only a few people could see that when the wind had just risen, a square hole suddenly opened in the sky, as if there had always been a window between the two worlds, and now the window had been opened. There was a trace of black qi in it, which suddenly dissipated when it was about to come out of the void. And through this hollow, you can see the gray sky behind you.

And Su Wen looked at the void more carefully at this time, wanting to see something from it. Part of this festival is the ancestors who have fallen into the path of hungry ghosts, so this void is the entrance to the path of hungry ghosts.

Soon, however, the other end of the void was completely filled with illusory human figures, where countless extremely ugly faces let out longing roars, but no sound came out, and only their distorted faces could be seen.

At the same time, as if they had been lured, they were brought out by white light and stood on the altar. At the same time, the air in the entire venue was a few degrees lower, making some people who were less dressed start to get cold. If it was outside, not in the altar, so many revenant souls gathered together, the yin qi on the body might be able to directly freeze people.

In addition, there are some revenants who come in from the gate of the venue, some of them are the revenants who have died in the vicinity and the East China Sea these days, and some of them are not clear about their origins, and they are not the same as those who have just died, and their bodies do not seem to be so illusory, and they are not so sluggish. Su Wen guessed that this was the ghost of the wandering underworld, who came back from the underworld to see his relatives when the ghost gate was opened on the 14th day of July, and the puja brought them over.

Su Wen Fahai and the others all knew that these dead souls could vaguely see the human form, but almost all of the dead souls with thin and weak bodies were the ancestors and elders of the many lay people below, and they were led out by the spirit card. Although they died at different times and did different things during their lifetimes, one thing they all had in common was that they were all extremely greedy and eager to look at the various sacrifices on the table.

A revenant in the form of a woman seemed to have found its offspring, and suddenly its body disappeared into the crowd, and then a slightly fat woman suddenly rushed out of the crowd like crazy, snatched a steamed bun from the altar and ate it.

The woman's sudden movements startled everyone in the field, and at the same time made the many souls in the air a little commotion.

"Isn't this Liu Yuqin? What's wrong with her?" someone in the crowd who knew her looked at the woman who grabbed the steamed bun like a madman and nibbled on it.

"It can't be a ghost, right?" said someone next to him, uncertainly.

As soon as these words were spoken, many people around them gasped. Combined with the cool breeze that blew just now, and the fact that thousands of people are now crowded into one venue, they can still feel the coldness all over their bodies, and many people are starting to drum in their hearts.

Many of the dead souls in the air saw that the dead soul had attached themselves to their descendants and snatched the food on the table, and they all became in a commotion, and their eyes were a little red.

"Hum (ong)" Su Wen scolded lightly, and the Buddha's power followed the sound into the ears of all the dead souls, and suddenly shook many dead souls in the air.

After a sound, Su Wen saw that the many dead souls in the air were much more honest, so he glanced at the fat woman with a little pity, and pressed the hand pinching method on the woman's head, and the dead soul was suddenly shocked.

"If you know today, why bother in the first place. Su Wen sighed. (To be continued.) )
