Chapter 31: The Labyrinth

Flying out of the underground chamber with my wings, I looked at the bloody treasure chest below, with some regret.

"It would be nice if I could jam the box." I said it maliciously.

"The kaffa of the king's statue has long been restored, and we don't have anything for the kaffa of the pine block." Guy said. "Neka, we can go to Roshan now."

Abandoning the dungeon chest, we set our sights back on the gold chest.

The first chest, a warrior's weapon, Blue Moon, plus a few other miscellaneous things.

I took the blue moon out, and at this time, the passage in the middle suddenly closed.

“????” I was puzzled and immediately threw the pressure plate, but the underground passage still did not open.

"What the hell?" I thought about the cause of this for a moment and put Blue Moon inside.

"Click." Stepping on the pressure plate, the underground passage opened.

"Wow, we're not allowed to take this bunch of things." Cover spit can't.

"I'll try again......" and I started a new attempt.

After a few attempts, we were speechless to find out......

This chest, whether it is one more or less, even one less piece in a pile of silver coins, will make this passage impossible to open.

"This material is such a ghost animal, it can't be dug at all!" The demon pickaxe in his hand was helpless against this.

"It seems that we are determined not to take this pile of things." Gai spread his hands.

"Tsk, it looks like we're going to have to move the locked boxes......" I shook my head, dropped the contents of the boxes, and turned my head to look around.

These four gold chests are definitely more valuable than the one bloody chest below.

Money is something outside of the body, and only weapons that can strengthen us are the most important.

Abandoning the treasure chest, we began to look elsewhere in this room.

Unfortunately, all the books in this room were trampled to pieces, and there was only a scrap of pages on the floor. Ready to be taken off with a pickaxe, it turned out to be directly destroyed.

"This is..... What the? Zeyu picked up a piece of paper, puzzled.

"Huh?" I leaned over and looked at it, and the paper looked as if it had been burned, and only a few words remained.

"At the center of the earth...... What, what, what, what, what? Barely enough, I could only make out the words.

But, suddenly, I was stunned.

Grabbing the note, I quickly ran to the lid and showed it to him.

"This is...... Chinese character? Gai exclaimed.

That's right, the words on this note are not the lingua franca of Terraria, but Chinese characters.

The characters of the Terraria continent are more inclined to pinyin characters, that is, words composed of several fixed letters and syllables, just like English.

Here, the only handwriting that has survived has been preserved in a language that does not belong to this world.

Moreover, there is only a general clue. About the center of the earth.

The rest of the books have undoubtedly been destroyed to the point where they cannot be seen.

"Centr...... It seems to have a secret that we don't know. ”

......

To no avail, we headed for the next door.

Push open the door, and there is a long passage.

And in the passage, all kinds of paintings are hung.

Some are painted with the Eye of Cruzhu, some with King Slime, some with snowy landscapes, and some with dungeon scenery.

There are various bosses, and there are other scenery as well.

A rough count shows that there are more than a dozen paintings.

Each painting is not as pixel as the one in the game. It's like an oil painting.

Under the dark blue dungeon torches, one story after another is told to future generations.

At the end of the corridor is a passageway.

There's something strange about this passage, though.

There is a fork in the road after a few steps, and after the fork in the road, it is still a fork in the road.

"Labyrinth?" I looked at this dungeon labyrinth, and my first reaction was to pull out a pickaxe.

There is no suspense, and it can't be knocked down.

"So how do you get there?" I asked the cover.

Because of the map system, we weren't too afraid of finding our way back.

As long as you follow one path, the way back will be obvious on the map.

However, I am afraid that I will not be able to find the exit after only walking one way.

"Insurance." Cover hesitated. "We don't know what's in this maze, so let's go together."

After a full point of pawns...... We start from the left.

It is not possible to determine if this maze has only one exit, whether it is a regular figure or not. So we started out on a straight line.

After dozens of minutes of tossing, we seemed to have walked to the wall.

As for why I walked to the wall, the first thing is to perceive a thick layer of bricks.

Secondly, several points around the same horizontal and vertical coordinates (so to speak) will also meet thick walls.

"A labyrinth of regular graphics?" I probably have a prototype in my mind, and now I have to determine whether it is multiple or single.

Then you have to stick to this wall and look for it in parallel.

Two hours later......

"Why did we go around the exit and there was no door?" Guy was speechless.

We were able to predict what the maze would look like, a regular square, but we couldn't find an exit.

"Could this be that there is no exit in the first place?"

"Probably not, we're here on this road, and the exit should be near here."

Even Lulu and Yuri run back to see if there are any oil paintings with maps of the dungeon maze or clues to the dungeon maze.

"I'll see for myself." I have a bold guess in my mind, but I have to experiment with it first.

I walked into the maze by myself, and then, heading towards the very center of this regular square.

After a short detour, I managed to get here.

"MMP sure enough." I still couldn't hold back.

In the center of the labyrinth, there is a separate room, which is not really large, but there are four doors open, facing all around.

And in the middle of the room, there is a staircase going down.

"Whoever designed this kind of, I'll dig up his grave when I go back." Gai also said that this thing is too ghostly.

Who would have thought that the dungeon exit was in the center, not around.
