Chapter 217: The Secret Mirror of the Dark Room

Alan and Luna walk through the vast underground space, exploring what's inside.

Toothtooth was sniffing hard along the wall.

Aside from the dim lighting, this basement looks very livable.

There are all kinds of supplies for living at home.

"But who would live here?" Alan muttered to himself.

"The Hufflepuff dormitory is underground. Luna said suddenly.

Hufflepuff - Underground - The Magic of Food -

Thinking of the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw and the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets, an idea came to Alan's mind!

"Helga, Hufflepuff!" Alan blurted out.

"What?" asked Luna, confused.

"There's a good chance we've stumbled into the secret realm of Helga Hufflepuff. The excitement in Alan's tone could not be concealed.

Luna's large, silver-gray eyes fixed on Eren for a moment, which made Eren come to his senses again.

"Hey, what are you doing?" asked Luna.

Alan followed her gaze and looked ahead, only to see Toothtooth's tail swinging behind a pile of tall dishes, and he could hear it clutching at something.

"Tooth - be careful!" Alan shouted.

Instead of paying attention to Alan, it grabbed harder.

"Yaya, what are you scratching?"

"Maybe it's catching a mouse?" Luna reminded.

"Tooth?" Alan cried, skirting the large dining table and through the polished, neatly arranged dishes, and soon saw the teeth scratching at the floor.

"Hey, Luna!" Alan beckoned to Luna, "Tooth has found a secret door. ”

"Wonderful!" Luna's tone was rare to be erratic, excitement and curiosity in her eyes.

"Toothy!" Alan crouched down and hugged the dog open from the door, "Let's see, what you find!"

As soon as Alan picked up Toothtooth, Toothtooth lost all interest in the door.

It ran to the side and began to sniff in another corner.

Tooth's attention can be easily diverted, and Alan thinks this may be one of the differences between a dog and a human.

The rain continued to pour down, sending a loud roar over Alan and Luna's heads.

There seemed to be the sound of a strong wind blowing in Alan's ears.

Alan thought it would take some more spell to open the door.

Unexpectedly, he grabbed the doorknob and lifted it gently, and the crooked wooden door shakily opened.

Alan pulled the door open, the chain creaked, and it was dark inside.

Alan removed the door panel and set it aside.

It is necessary so that no one locks them underground on it.

Alan hadn't forgotten the feeling of being watched when he first arrived at the mushroom house.

He didn't know if the snooper was the stealth person mentioned by the system, but it was necessary to be vigilant at all times.

Alan and Luna climbed down the ladder overgrown with vines.

"Fluorescent flicker!" Luna and Allen's wands lit up the small room below.

The room was dark, and the only light was a pale yellow glow that came through the door panel that Alan had just pulled up.

"It's so big, it's not like a closet. Luna said, her voice more ethereal than usual, "What the hell is this?"

"It's just a room, I guess. Allen said he struggled to adjust his eyes to the dim light in the room.

He raised his wand and took another step into the room.

At this moment, he suddenly saw a dark shadow take a step closer to him.

This startled Allen and quickly took a step back.

But the shadow jumped back as well.

"That's a mirror, Alan!" Luna said, laughing.

Alan fixed his gaze, and there was indeed a mirror in front of them.

Under the light of the two wands, Alan saw clearly.

It was a large rectangular mirror, two feet taller than Allen, with a frame made of brown wood and the mirror resting on a wooden base.

Alan moved closer, and Allen in the mirror moved forward to welcome him.

To Allen's surprise, his shadow in the mirror appeared clear.

Although the wooden door just now appeared to be a little decayed, and opened as soon as it was opened, the mirror was spotless.

Alan stood in front of the mirror and looked at it.

"Manifest your true form!"

"Tell me your secret. ”

Alan tapped the mirror with his wand and cast a spell.

"Alan, I think mirrors are meant to be reflected, aren't they?" Luna stood in front of the mirror.

Alan looked around, empty, with nothing but mirrors.

"Who would put a mirror in a room alone?" asked Luna.

Alan could see her black shadow in the mirror, just a few steps behind him.

"Maybe this mirror has something else. Do you know the Mirror of Eris?" Alan began to think about what he wanted.

But it didn't help.

"Of course I do, but the Mirror of Eris was carried away by Dumbledore. ”

Luna touched the mirror and asked, "Could it be Helga Hufflepuff's vanity mirror?"

Alan didn't answer.

"Hey, Luna, look!" said Allen.

He found a magic lamp on top of the mirror, an oval lamp made of brass or other metal.

A circular object resembling a crystal ball is suspended in it.

Alan stared at it in the dim light, trying to see it, "How do you turn on the light?"

"There's a chain here. Luna walked over to Allen's side and spoke.

Sure enough, a thin chain hung from the right side of the lamp, hanging a foot from the top of the mirror.

"Let's try and see if it works. Allen said.

"It must be okay. Luna said categorically.

Alan turned to look at her. Luna also looked at Allen, "There's no harassment of the flies here. ”

Whether or not he harassed Fly Alan was unknown, but Luna's composure and optimism made him appreciate it even more.

Alan stood on tiptoe and stretched out his arm to pull the chain.

"Be careful. Luna reminded.

"Huh?" exclaimed Allen, the chain didn't move!

"Alan, maybe it's going to take magic. Luna guessed.

"But what kind of magic?" Alan thought it was a little hard to guess.

"Maybe it's like looking at a crystal ball?"

A silver thread erupted from the tip of Luna's wand and poured it into the crystal ball along the long light chain.

I saw a flash of bright light, and the magic lamp unexpectedly lit up, and then dimmed again, and the brightness was no different from that of ordinary lights.

Bright white light is reflected onto the mirror.

"Heyβ€”Luna is so good!" called Allen, "the whole room is lit up, it's shiny, isn't it?"

However, no one spoke.
