Chapter 633 Remarks
"Ryan, Hermione, are you going to sign up for this test?" asked Harry as he walked into the corner with Ron at this time. "I think if there's anyone in our Gryffindor who can pass this exam right now, it's just the two of you. β
"We're definitely going to take this exam, there's a war going on out there, and I think it's much more meaningful for us to be involved in the war than to be in school. Ryan replied.
"That's right, buddy. Ron leaned in and said in an envious tone. "The level of knowledge you and Hermione have now, I think class is a waste of time. I also want to do you to graduate and go to war to teach those Death Eaters, but unfortunately I can't pass the exam at my current academic level. β
"The battlefield is not a place for you to play. Hermione said in a serious tone. "The battlefield is full of death, and no one will love it. β
"Of course I know about it. Harry nodded. "But I'm ready for anything, as you know, Voldemort and I will only survive in the end. So I can't stay out of this war at all. β
"Even so, I don't think you should take the initiative to go to the battlefield when you don't have enough strength. Ryan looked at Harry and said, "Even if you're really destined to go into battle, it's best to do so when you have as much power as possible." Otherwise, you'll make everyone's efforts useless. β
"I know. Harry nodded, "But I still wish I could be on the battlefield one day earlier and contribute my strength, I can't hide behind the others forever in this war." β
"So for the sake of your dreams, you should study hard now, which will help you have a better chance of surviving on the battlefield, and only by living can you have a future. Ryan patted Harry on the shoulder.
"Thank you!" Harry nodded forcefully. "I'll keep up with you. β
Hearing this, Ryan's steps abruptly walked out, he just wanted to imitate the big names in the movie to comfort Harry. Unexpectedly, it became Harry's role model. But that's fine, Ryan at least thinks that Harry will be able to listen to his words, and it will reduce the probability that Harry will run to the battlefield on the spur of the moment to give away the head.
After leaving the common room, Ryan and the others made a beeline for Professor McGonagall's office. Upon opening the door, Ryan noticed that Professor McGonagall had just arrived in the office, but was already busy.
On the table in front of Professor McGonagall lay parchment papers at least a foot thick, and Professor McGonagall looked at the papers on the table with his glasses, occasionally sketching something on them with a quill.
It seems that when Professor Dumbledore is busy, all of this day-to-day business will be left to Professor McGonagall. For example, when Ryan walked to the front and back of the table, he saw Professor McGonagall correcting a list of Hogwarts school food purchases.
"Ryan, Hermione, you're here to register for the exam. Professor McGonagall said after glancing up at them. "Please sit here for a while, and then I'll sign you up after I've read the list. β
After waiting for more than a minute, Professor McGonagall signed her name at the bottom of the list, then placed the entire parchment on a small pile of processed parchment papers on her left, and removed her glasses. ββ
"Ryan, I have to thank you for your donation first, otherwise I suspect that the school's food will not even be available for next month. Professor McGonagall said, "Headmaster Dumbledore does have plenty of wealth, but it is in the form of various magic items or books, and in the present situation it cannot be exchanged for potato bread, nor all kinds of meat and eggs. β
"I just did my duty as a school manager. Ryan said humbly. "I don't have the same connections or help the school as other school managers, so I can only use money to fulfill my responsibilities. β
"In fact, schools need the most money right now. Professor McGonagall muttered quietly, then spoke to Ryan and them. "Alright, I'm going to register you for the S exam now. β
As she spoke, she pulled out a list from the bottom drawer, then ticked the names of Ryan and Hermione.
"By the way, what are you going to do after the exam?" Professor McGonagall asked, putting away the list after ticking the box. "You know what is going on. β
"Then we won't be able to decide until the test results come out. Hermione said. "I haven't even taken the test now, and everything I say is invalid!"
"Miss Granger, be confident. Professor McGonagall looked at Hermione with a smile. "I dare say that if you can't pass this exam, then no one else will pass it. β
"Thank you for the compliment. Hermione's face flushed when she heard what Professor McGonagall said. "If we do pass the exam this time, I think we'll be living at Hogwarts Castle for the time being to make magic items, so that we can provide everyone who is now resisting all the items they need in the war. At the same time, from the perspective of security, the inside of the castle is the safest, and at the same time, it is convenient to communicate everywhere. β
"Only students and students are allowed in Hogwartsβ" Professor McGonagall said, patting her forehead lightly with her hand. "I've been busy lately, and you, as a school manager, have the right to live in the school. It's just that the former school directors had their own estates and house-elf services, so they were generally not happy to live in Hogwarts castles. β
"Well, I wish you all the best in this exam, and I hope Merlin will bless you. By the way, the exam is this weekend, so there is no need to give you a class schedule, you just need to review it for the next few days. Professor McGonagall concluded, "You can leave now, I have a lot of work to attend to. β
"Goodbye, Professor McGonagall. Ryan and Hermione bowed together and left Professor McGonagall's office.
The rest of the week went by quickly, and Ryan spent almost all of his time preparing for the exam. The same is true for others, and in the library you can see a lot of seventh-graders working hard.
Luckily, Ryan borrowed notes from Percy from his previous exam preparations, and then used a memory transmitter to inject all the contents of the notes into his brain. Naturally, Hermione enjoyed the same service.
"Didn't you say I was cheating?" Ryan quipped, looking at Hermione as she sat up from the memory infusion bin beside her.
"I just didn't figure something out at the time. Hermione jumped out of the memory infusion chamber with both hands, then stood there and said, "Unlike ordinary learning, the core of magic learning is manipulation. So as long as you can use magic successfully, it's enough. As for this method of memory indoctrination, it is no different from the result of our own memorization, as long as the knowledge is mastered. β
"Besides, not everyone can enter so many memories at once. I think it has to do with how much knowledge can be instilled in each person's soul. Speaking of this, Hermione raised her chin slightly, "If Harry were to bring these dozen notes, he would be able to instill the contents of a book into his brain at most, and his brain would definitely not be able to hold up any more." If it were Ron, I guess at most half of it. β
"Well, you're a genius. Ryan laughed, only to get Hermione a roll of her eyes.
In addition to instilling memories, Ryan and Hermione spent their free time practicing the spells and potions they were going to test. Finally, it was Friday afternoon, and the next day was the time for the exam.
