Chapter 70: You're Too Fast!
"She's philatelic!"
Bill Dorothy simply said it bluntly!
After thinking about it for a long time, Shen Lin finally understood. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć ļ½ļ½ļ½ļ½
Now even the Oscars have to roll the sheets to be nominated?
Shen Lin originally wanted to ask how old that Louis was, but Bill had already sighed, "Okay, this plan can be abandoned..."
Don't, if you're not old, I can!
"Louis Wilson is fifty-five years old..."
Well, this one can indeed be waived!
No matter how Shen Lin is, this thing still can't be done!
Some people can pay a lot for the Oscars, such as Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, etc., but they are quite rational, and some can only be described as crazy.
The most famous of them is Judy Dench, Ms. M!
Once in order to please some people in order to impact the Oscars, she simply tattooed Harvey's name on her buttocks, and claimed that even on the red carpet, as long as Weinstein asked for it, she could unzip her pants and let people see her buttocks!
It's crazy!
Shen Lin hadn't reached that level yet.
Bill Dorothy was just on the advice of a friend, and to be honest, it didn't matter much to him whether Shen Lin could be nominated or not.
"By the way, Cook just called you to finish the matter at hand, Scarlett's schedule is only one month left!"
Shen Lin got up directly and left the touchstone studio.
ā¦ā¦
Disney Studios, California.
Completely according to Shen Lin's opinion, three models of spacecraft have been built that can already be photographed, of course, only appearance.
The various instruments in the capsule are simulated from the real space station.
Shen Lin quickly entered the state, and the actors were also in place very quickly, and everything was developing in a good direction.
There was nothing wrong with normal shooting in the capsule, the key was to combine it with the huge space backdrop in the studio.
By the way, Shen Lin even asked these prop masters to create models of black holes and wormholes!
In order to make the film look more realistic, Shen Lin wanted to move the large spaceship across the backdrop of space to capture the realistic patterns, flares, and artifacts that would be created in that light environment.
"It's going to take a lot of work, but now that we've built the ship, it's best to use it to the fullest. Therefore, what was originally a very static set board was turned into a dynamic starry sky pattern during shooting, which also made the film look more vivid in terms of visual language. ā
This is what Shen Lin said in an interview with Groom News.
That's exactly what happened!
Shot with a miniature camera, this effect is enhanced by the use of exposure, allowing the camera to capture all spontaneous floats as the ship flies against the light.
If you want to make the movie look more real and believable, for the actors, there is still a difficult point to overcome, simulating weightlessness!
After all, it is flying in space, and if it is like walking on the earth, it will definitely be besieged by more serious visitors.
In this regard, Shen Lin couldn't help much, NASA intervened!
In fact, there have been an endless number of space-themed movies over the years, and NASA has long been a theoretical supporter of such films, and many simulated weightlessness have been shot with the help of NASA.
"Interstellar" is a Disney project, and NASA will naturally help.
not only sent two active astronauts who were in the recuperation stage to the crew for on-site guidance, but also accepted the invitation of Cook Dick to send a four-person technical team to help the crew design the relevant operation props of the space capsule.
In Shen Lin's planning, most of the scenes inside the capsule in the film will be filmed in the built set, although the team will only stay in California for less than a month, and the crew will also pay a high salary, but their participation will undoubtedly make the built scenes more professional.
Make sure that every shot of the film is based on reality!
It is no exaggeration to say that space is the ultimate dream of all mankind, and even for the dream machine of film, it is no easy task to create real space on the silver screen.
That's where Master Kip Thorne comes in!
According to Shen Lin's requirements, when wormholes and black holes are presented on the Imax screen, it is no less than an interstellar journey for the audience sitting in the dark and wearing it!
In the whole film, only most of the scenes inside the space station were shot in the built set, and the realistic feeling of outer space, Shen Lin didn't trust CG technology very much!
As for the scene when crossing the wormhole, the results calculated by the special effects team based on Kip Thorne's formula are no different from those in previous films, they are all tunnels, and there are some bright spots on the walls of the tunnel.
Shen Lin felt that the effect was too bland and not novel enough, so the special effects team abandoned the idea of completely referencing Kip Thorne's formula, and artificially added many artistic elements to make the final effect more shocking.
Of course, Shen Lin knew that the wormhole could not be so beautiful, but considering the aesthetics and the audience's comprehension, the wormhole was finally determined to look like a crystal ball
The special effects of "Interstellar" are in charge of Double Negative, the most famous special effects company in Europe, which was introduced to Shen Lin by Jonathan.
Double Negative has dominated the Harry Potter special effects and all the special effects in Inception!
Franklin knew that anything could be achieved with CG, but that was the problem, because it was easy to defy physics and fall short of the realism that the film was looking for.
"Interstellar" did not use a green screen to shoot the whole film, and when filming the black hole scene on the set, the production team built a huge projection curtain wall and a 1:1 model of the spaceship, and when the actors performed in the spaceship, the cosmic scene projected by the curtain wall was outside the window.
Two large projectors were used to ensure the right brightness for the cosmic view on the wall. At a later stage, Double Negative will replace the projected image on the curtain wall with a more refined version.
In the climax of the film, we see the so-called "five-dimensional time and space", and it is very difficult to present this concept on the big screen.
Especially Shen Lin asked for real shooting!
This one is just terrible!
Shen Lin always hopes to give the actors something to refer to and interact with on the set, and he doesn't want the actors to rely on their imagination to complete their performances in front of an empty green screen. Even for such an abstract hypercube, he asked the special effects team to be able to build something on the set.
Eventually, Franklin built a section of the hypercube, surrounded by four rooms that would be expanded to an infinite number during post-production special effects.
From start-up to completion, "Interstellar" lasted two and a half months!
For many big Hollywood productions, this shooting time is indeed a bit too fast!
Especially Scarlett Johansson, she has only joined the movie for a month and eight days, and the filming of the movie has already ended.
"You're too fast!"
This was the first thing Scarlett said to Shen Lin at the finale party.
