Chapter 41: The Entrance
The screen pans back to Brie. The scouts he had just sent out had come back with nothing. At this time, the vice-captain reported to him in the headset the so-called clues that Jessica had taken from the child's mouth. He told the vice-captains to stay on standby, and he said to the team members around him:
"Let's go to the psychiatric hospital one last time. If you still don't find anything, you will close the team. Alright, everyone, let's go!"
"Yes!" the team replied in unison
After a while, Brie led the team from the main entrance of the abandoned psychiatric hospital to slowly advance inside. After passing through the large rusted iron gate on the front, everyone was greeted by a barren lawn, with large chunks of soil exposed due to the fact that it had been left untended for many years. A wide sidewalk in the middle leads to the main hospital building in front of them, and everyone continues to walk in the faint silver moonlight.
Suddenly, the big iron door behind him creaked, and a black shadow flashed.
Brie turned his head and asked, "What's the situation?"
The little man standing at the end of the line immediately replied, "Report to the captain!" ”
"Keep your eyes open a little and move on!" Brie commanded in a low voice
As soon as they entered the weedy lobby of the hospital's main building, the team heard the intermittent and mournful singing of a woman on a tape recorder from nowhere. They clenched the submachine guns in their hands, and the line continued to alternate covering the advance. When everyone was still searching for strange singing voices in the darkness where they couldn't see their fingers, in a dim corner, a middle-aged man with a thick cigar in his mouth said: "Hey, there is a way in heaven that you don't go, and there is no door in hell to break into." Then it's no wonder to me! Little ones, let's get moving!"
As soon as the middle-aged man's voice fell, a group of black-clothed men who were ambushed in the shadows quietly approached the temporary headquarters set up in the high ground by Brie from behind. (The two scouts are intently monitoring the monitor in front of them) and while Brie's team is checking in a conference hall-like room on the first floor, the assault team, which has not even seen a single enemy, is collectively brought down by an unknown gas released from nowhere. The little man who was the last to enter the room had the least amount of poison gas he had inhaled, so he staggered around and turned around and ran out. He tried to keep his eyes wide as he shook the head that was getting heavier and heavier on his neck, trying to clear himself up. But the whole world in his eyes was still swaying and shaking. He clinged to the wall of the hallway and fled in the direction he had continued. At this moment, a tall black figure stood motionless at the end of the long corridor in front of him with a hook-like object in his hand. As if smelling death, he leaned against the wall, and with both hands he reluctantly raised his submachine gun and swept forward. After the deafening 'click', the breathtaking silence mixed with the smell of gunpowder that permeated the corridor hit the little man head-on. Exhausted, he sat breathlessly in a dimly lit corner, waiting for the final moment to come. Around the corner behind him, there was the sound of heavy footsteps approaching slowly. He had no strength left, so he could only squint his eyes and look at a two-meter-tall man in a butcher's suit standing behind him, holding a thick iron hook in his hand. At this moment, a crazy old man who came out of nowhere threw himself on the little man who was close to fainting, and muttered, "Don't kill my child!"
"Get out of the way, annoying old man!" said the tall butcher, kicking the old man three feet away
The old man rolled all the way to the base of the wall before stopping, and the radio in his trouser pocket was thrown against the wall, and the batteries in it were scattered all over the ground. Then, several more men in hospital gowns slowly dragged them into the endless darkness.
After a while, in the darkness where you couldn't see your fingers, a mysterious entrance slowly opened. Inside, there is a dazzling light.
When the deputy captain saw that he couldn't contact Brie and the headquarters, he immediately commanded the team to cut the power supply and break out. When Mike heard this, he immediately ran into the cubicle to put on the cloak of invisibility. It was too late to say that the power supply was restored immediately. Several commandos at the front of the line collapsed to the deafening sound of gunfire outside. As soon as the vice-captain returned to the room with the rest of the team, he saw that the window had been smashed open with stones. Along with the stones, tear gas and hypnotic bombs were thrown in. All the things described above happen within a minute. Mike, who hadn't had time to put on the invisibility cloak yet, was the last to fall because he was hiding in the innermost part. With the last shbit of consciousness, he tucked the cloak into the weeds inside the cell.
Mike felt like he was being dragged around in a daze, and then pressed to a chair with an unknown helmet. When he woke up, he found himself alone in an unknown prison. Mike thought to himself: Is this the so-called Sky Island? Sister doesn't know where it's kept? Jessica doesn't know if it's safe? There's so much to figure out, but the first problem to solve is how to get out of here.
"Where is this, is there anyone! let me out, let me out!" Mike shouted as he leaned over the railing
But no matter how noisy Mike was, no one responded. For two days, the only thing Michael was sure of was that his three meals a day would be delivered on time, and an old prisoner who passed by his door complained that it was going to rain again because of a rheumatic attack.
"Don't you let the prisoners go free?!, what are the prisons, and are there any human rights?!" Mike cursed at the guards who came to deliver the food
"This is the most advanced prison in the world, so don't try to escape from prison while you're in the air, you'll be brain-dead if you watch a lot of TV series, boy!" the guard left with a smile.
Lying on the prison bed, Mike thought to himself: I finally came in, but I never expected to be so embarrassed. Don't talk about saving my sister.,Even if it's close, you can't see it!
And just like that, Mike spent the day restlessly. The next day, two guards who had never seen Mike were suddenly taken out in electronic handcuffs and taken to what looked like an interrogation room. Along the way, Mike discovers that this is not underground, so it should not be an empty island. Outside the window of one of the corridors he had passed, he seemed to see a large iron gate in the distance, and the tall tower closest to it had the word 'West Tower' written on it. After a while, the guards pushed Mike into the room and locked him inside. As one of the guards closed the door, Mike heard him mutter, "I didn't think there would be a big man meeting him." ”
At this time, a middle-aged man in a crisp royal blue suit with a shiny head in his hand holding a report retreated left and right into the room.
The middle-aged man said, "My sweet little friend Mike, we have finally met! Help me to find the Sky Island - Gisuuri to my surprise in addition to the foul-mouthed Iron Lion King Henry! Unfortunately, you disappointed me a little today. I thought you were a boy with three heads and six arms. But it turns out that you're just a lucky stupid boy who doesn't even have an average IQ of 90. But it seems that your good fortune is coming to an end today, after all, you have renewed more than one life~" (In the hands of the middle-aged man is the preliminary test result of Mike's IQ, which reads: 85)
"Who are you? I don't know what you're talking about! Are you delusional, uncle?!" Mike asked aggressively
"Hahaha, I don't usually have many hobbies other than work. It's no longer enough to make money that makes me happy, and one of the only remaining hobbies that keeps me entertained is to see with my own eyes the indescribably funny expressions of people when they uncover truths that people don't want to face!" The man became more and more excited
"I don't know what you're talking about, let me out!" Mike shouted across the table
