Chapter 111: Killing the Snake

The basilisk on the ground seemed to come to its senses after a pause, shook its head and began to poke out the snake letter to discern the smell in the air.

After spitting out the snake letter a few times, the basilisk seemed to have discovered something. Turning his head to the pillar where Ryan was, he stretched his upper half into the air and looked at Ryan with two hollow eye sockets that kept pouring black blood.

Ryan watched the basilisk in action and felt that something was wrong, and at the same time felt something familiar. While recalling a scene in the animal world he had seen, Ryan slammed the hook into the side stigma and pulled himself through with the tightening of the rope.

Luckily, the response was timely. As soon as he left his current position, the basilisk opened its mouth violently, and two streams of black venom shot towards where Ryan had been before.

After the venom hits the pillar head, the part that comes into contact with the venom begins to bubble rapidly, accompanied by a hissing sound. Finally, most of the stigma was eroded at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Is this venom or hydrochloric acid? Ryan couldn't help but feel his scalp tingle when he saw this. Could it be that everything in the wizarding world is so over-specified? If this thing splashes on the body, it is estimated that within a minute, the whole person will completely turn into a puddle of liquid.

Seeing that the basilisk began to spit out letters and reconnoiter after missing a blow, Ryan knew that he couldn't let the basilisk go on like this. He then used the hook to swing past the basilisk while pointing to a pocket around his waist and shouting, "Vadi Vasi!"

Several cherry bombs flew like bullets towards the basilisk's head, exploding after hitting the basilisk. Ryan could clearly see that half of the snake letter about the size of his arm was blown up.

At the same time as Ryan fires the cherry bomb, the basilisk also flaps its tail sideways towards Ryan. Ryan could only barely change direction in the air. Luckily, the basilisk tail had been hit hard before and wasn't very flexible. So this time he took a break, and Ryan narrowly avoided the basilisk's tail's volley.

As the large, wounded tail swept across the air in front of Ryan, Ryan could smell the sweet smell of poisonous blood. Thankfully, the previous protective measures were still there, and Ryan was not harmed by the gas.

Because Ryan's attack had completely deprived the basilisk of its external perception, he found that the basilisk had gone into a state of madness - it didn't know where the enemy was, but it knew that the enemy was still alive. Even before it lost consciousness, he could feel that its foes weren't hurt at all.

Anger has turned the basilisk into a brainless beast entirely, and while its attacks are still sharp, the threat is greatly reduced.

The basilisk began to churn on the ground while emitting poisonous gas in all directions. Fortunately, some of the poison gas was vented from the various pipes here, so that the concentration of poison gas far from the basilisk was always below the limit of Ryan's protective means. Ryan cautiously kept his distance from the basilisk, not wanting to get close enough to try the basilisk's attack power.

Because Ryan didn't have a decisive attack for the time being, he chose to slowly grind the basilisk by constantly changing his position and attacking from a distance for safety reasons. Thankfully, it's Christmas break, and Ryan is the only one in his dorm, so even if he doesn't go back all morning, it won't arouse suspicion.

Two hours later, Ryan was panting and standing there against a pillar. The body of the basilisk lies in the center of the chamber. Pillars, weapon stations, and plant fragments were scattered everywhere in the chamber. Thanks to the fact that the pillars are only decorative, the ceiling is quietly erected overhead.

The basilisk was covered in wounds and half of his head was blown off, which was formed by Ryan popping a large number of cherry bombs into the basilisk's mouth to ensure safety after the basilisk was unable to move. The wounds on the basilisk's body are both magically inflicted and purely physical.

Now this situation is beyond Ryan's expectations, because he didn't expect the basilisk to be stabbed to death by Harry's sword in the original book to be so durable, and the whaling rifle and even the crossbow that were supposed to kill the basilisk with one blow did not hurt the basilisk's vital point, and finally the basilisk died of serious injuries in the long blow.

Ryan felt that he had spent enough time and energy for Harry to kill a dozen basilisks. But looking at the wreckage in the basement, Ryan realizes that this is the difference between a VIP and a free-to-play player.

Harry is assisted by a phoenix, a mythical beast of the same level as the basilisk, which automatically attacks and heals his wounds. And Ryan released a lot of plants to help in the late tug-of-war. Unfortunately, except for the ground thorn and the dragon fire of the dragon grass, which can slightly damage the part of the basilisk where the scales are knocked off, the other plants have no killing effect on the basilisk.

In addition to the beast, Harry also possesses a fully enhanced artifact: Gryffindor's sword. Easily pierced the basilisk skull that even the enchanted high-strength alloy steel arrows that Ryan fired with heavy crossbow gunpowder couldn't pierce.

The result of the inferior weapons was that it took Ryan a lot of effort to achieve the effect of Harry's sword. Looks like we'll have to find a way to get some good gear next time.

After resting for a while, I felt that my body was not so tired. Ryan opened the Wanjie Grocery Store and retrieved the plants that were still alive.

As soon as he opened the door of the space, Ryan could feel the signal of longing coming from the spiritual connection with his newly cultivated mutant dragon grass, as if a pet and its owner were spoiled. It seems that it has been growing very fast lately, and can actually tell the Ryan Basilisk through its soul that there is something in it that can promote the growth of this plant.

After checking to confirm that the Mutated Dragon Grass had indeed produced a stable soul, Ryan issued a request for a pet contract to the Mutated Dragon Grass based on the knowledge of the Life Magic Inheritance. Obviously, the dragon grass is very dependent on Ryan as the creator, and immediately after receiving the contract, he gave a part of his soul to Ryan to form a pet contract.

Since it's already your own pet, you must treat it well. Ryan took the mutated dragon grass out and set it aside, ready to wait until it was cleaned up to see what it needed. Then open the space door to the world of Plants vs. Zombies, and summon several robots that are already ready to come out and clean up the scene.

Commanding the robot to remove the snake gall bladder and a few fangs from the basilisk's stomach, Ryan looked at it carefully for a while, and after confirming that it was good, he put it into the grocery store. Then dig the mutant dragon grass out of the pot and place it on the wound on the basilisk's head.

The dragon grass automatically put its roots into the wound and began to absorb them, and Ryan saw this scene with a warm feeling of watching his child work hard to grow. He shook his head to dispel the strange thoughts in his head, and then turned to the basilisk to dismantle the other valuable parts, only to find that the basilisk was visibly shriveled and the luster of the scales on his body was slowly fading.

How could it rot so quickly?" Ryan checked the basilisk in surprise, and was finally surprised to find that his mutated dragon grass was absorbing the essence of the basilisk at an unexpected speed.

After seeing Ryan discover its movements, the mutant dragon grass sent out embarrassment and pleading emotions to him through the spirit link. After observing, Ryan learns that the mutated dragon grass will not be injured due to rapid absorption. He smiled helplessly and sat aside, waiting for the dragon grass to finish absorbing.
