Chapter Forty-Nine: Arrival in Iceland and New Guests

After a two-day journey at sea, the ship finally arrived at Redjavík, Iceland's largest port and the capital of Iceland.

Standing on deck, Ryan found the city between the mountains and the sea, and their ships were heading east into the harbor of Redjavík. It was morning, and the rising sun reflected the mountains near the city in a delicate purple color.

The biggest impression of this place is that the sky is very blue, after all, there is no industry here, and even the entire city is heated by environmentally friendly geothermal heat. Because the city is located in a place rich in geothermal resources, the city even got its name from it. "Reykjavík" means "smoking city" in Icelandic.

After getting off the boat, Ryan and his family went straight to the pre-arranged hotel to rest. Although Iceland has its own language, due to the long-term presence of American troops, Icelanders have a good level of English and there are no barriers to communication.

After arriving at the hotel to drop off their luggage, Mr. Lambert and the others decided to rest for a while. Ryan, on the other hand, asks Mr. Lambert to go around the Wizarding Mall here. In view of the good security in Iceland in the early nineties and the size of Redjavík, as well as the fact that Ryan was already a wizard, Mr. Lambert agreed to let Ryan go out alone and handed him the equivalent of £150 Icelandic kroner. It's just that he has to be back by 12 noon.

After Ryan agreed, he left the hotel and took a taxi to the city center, which was not long after. After all, this is only a small city of about 100,000 people, and the urban area is not large.

According to the guide map and introduction of the Seven Star Hotel, Ryan found the entrance to the wizard business district here: a small five-story building with the Aurora Hotel sign. Guests come and go here.

Ryan turned to the side of the inn, where there was a decorative panel carved with a Viking longship. He drew his wand and struck five times on the carved longship's third shield from the left, and a brick arch emerged next to the carving.

Ryan was just about to go in, when suddenly a message came from the system that a new customer had entered the Wanjie grocery store.

He had no choice but to run a few steps forward and turn the corner to an uninhabited alley. Look around to make sure it's safe to go to the grocery store.

After entering the grocery store, Ryan first went to check the dragon grass placed on the table. This dragon grass is different from ordinary dragon grass, the dragon head that used to grow on the top of the plant has disappeared, and a red fruit the size of a football grows on the top of the dragon head.

This is a plant that Ryan has newly cultivated since the start of the summer vacation, after eating up Crazy Dave's technique. Ryan uses dragon grass as the original, using the eggshell fragments, scales, blood, and fangs of Noble that he collected earlier, as well as the rattan of the devil's vine that he got in the final level, to cultivate this new plant together.

Due to the fact that there are too many magic ingredients added to it, this is something that Dave has never encountered in cultivating plants back then, and there is no way to learn from it. So there are a lot of things that Lane is fumbling around, and only a few words that he usually asks from Professor Sprout can be used as a reference. There's so much luck in there. Luckily, Ryan was lucky, the plant grew successfully, and it will be interesting to see what the seeds in this fruit will grow when they mature.

After observing the plants, Ryan asked the store to bring in new customers. With the sound of footsteps, the guest walked into the grocery store, and Ryan looked at the guest and let out a soft sigh of surprise.

Because this time there was not one, but two.

Walking in front was a man, who looked to be in his thirties and forties, wearing a dress from the Age of Discovery, which Ryan had seen in many European costume films. However, his face looked a little vicissitudes, and at first glance, he had suffered a lot before. After he saw Ryan, he bent down slightly and made a defensive posture to protect the person behind him.

The person behind him was a woman, wearing a blue dress and looking like she was eleven or twelve years old, about the same age as Ryan.

"Sir, take it easy, I have no ill will towards you. Ryan said, "This is the Ten Thousand Worlds Grocery Store, and I'm the owner Ryan." Every guest who comes here is here to solve their biggest problem right now. So can you tell us about the problem you're having? I might be able to help you. ”

Perhaps the man saw clearly that the person sitting across the counter was just a child, not looking like he was in danger, so his body relaxed.

Then he sat down on the floor with the girl, watched in amazement as Ryan came out from behind the counter, then pulled out a large tablecloth from a small bag he had carried, and then pulled out a bottle of whiskey (rummaged out of the house pantry, which my father probably had forgotten), a bucket of juice, and three glasses. (Ryan always felt that since he had a space bag, he had to fill it up, so he stuffed a lot of miscellaneous stuff.) )

After watching the glass in his hand being filled with a glass of whiskey by Ryan, the middle-aged man took a sip and began to tell his story: "My name is Edward, Edward Kenway, I used to be a captain, now retired, ready to raise my daughter. ”

After speaking, he pointed to his daughter who was sitting quietly drinking juice next to him, "This is my daughter Jennifer Scott, I neglected their mother and daughter in order to make money, and now I just hope to raise my daughter quietly." ”

Ryan really can't find this name in his memory, but thinking about the fact that there are so many worlds, it's normal to have people who don't know him. So he smiled relievedly and looked at the girl who was about the same age as himself.

Sensing that Ryan was watching her, the girl leaned in to his father. Ryan turned to Kenway and said, "She doesn't seem to be good at communicating with people." ”

"yes. Kenway replied, "Because I offended a lot of people when I was captain, I want to avoid letting people find out where we live, because she probably had too little contact with others." ”

"So what you need now is ......"

"A completely strange place, a place where no one can find us, a place where I can raise my daughter well. Kenway said to Ryan.

"Can you tell us more about your world? so that I can judge what kind of world meets your requirements. Ryan said. "You should be able to tell that I'm not from the same world as you, so you don't have to worry about me telling your secret to anyone you know. ”

To prove it, Ryan drew his wand and read a fluorescent flash, and conjured a stream of clear water from the wand head.

"As you can see, I'm a wizard. There shouldn't be anyone like me in your world, right?"

"Well, you're a bit like the Precursor of our world, but you're not at all. Kenway replied.

"Precursor?" said Ryan, who didn't quite understand the word.
