Chapter 4 Courtyard Houses
The sun was strong outside the car, and it looked like it was noon, and someone opened the door, and Hu Qi and I got out of the car. Pen | fun | pavilion www. biquge。 info
I looked around, and the place where the car was parked seemed to be in an alley, but this alley was different from other alleys, it was more spacious, and it seemed to have only one courtyard, it was quiet, and there were no pedestrians passing by. In front of me was a gatehouse, which was very tall, not like the gate of an ordinary house. There was a big man standing on either side of the gatehouse, both in suits and sunglasses, who didn't look very friendly.
I looked into the distance to determine the location of the courtyard through some buildings in the distance, and sure enough, I made some discoveries. Although I am not familiar with some of the high-rise buildings nearby, I can't see what the place is, but I recognize a spire-like building in the distance, which is the spire of the CCTV Tower, from the distance, it is not very far from this alley, this courtyard should be in the southeast of the CCTV Tower, I have done it in my heart, and now the location should be near the princess's tomb.
I was secretly taken aback, Beijing has been "rich in the east, noble in the west, poor in the south, and cheap in the north" since ancient times, which means that because the source of the canal is in Tongzhou, many wealthy businessmen and magnates in ancient times have taken root in the east of Beijing, so the eastern part of Beijing is a gathering place for the rich, and there is a saying of "rich in the east"; However, the south has always been a place of residence for ordinary people and the poor, and is called "southern poverty"; In addition, because the north of Beijing in ancient times was close to the Great Wall, there were often troops stationed, especially during the Qing Dynasty, the children of the Eight Banners gathered in the northern area of Beijing, which can also be said to be "demand drives consumption", so the northern area of Beijing earlier brought together a lot of kilns, brothels and so on.
"Xigui" is because the officials at that time in order to meet the emperor conveniently, the emperor can be "on call", and these officials are pretentious and high, do not want to be with the copper-smelling rich people, many dignitaries and dignitaries built their mansions in the west of the imperial city, so the western part of Beijing also has the name of "Xigui".
Although the "East Rich", "South Poor", and "North Cheap" have long been out of character with the passage of time, "Xigui" still has some shadows, because in the west of Xidan, especially in the area of the princess's tomb, it is the location of many military compounds, and many of the people living in these military compounds are not ordinary family members, and there are even rumors that in the courtyards of some alleys in this area, there are some mysterious people who have a deep relationship with the high-level.
Thinking of this, I moved my eyes to the tall gatehouse in front of me, I don't know who would be waiting for me in such a courtyard in this special area.
"Please." A big man in a suit said at the door.
The man in the suit led the way in front, Hu Qi in front, and I stepped into the gatehouse.
After entering the door, there is a double fish lotus branch bucket horn shadow wall, bypassing the shadow wall, inside is the small courtyard of the two halls, there are fish pots and lotus pots in the small courtyard, the middle is the hall, there are corridors on both sides, there should be a courtyard behind the hall, there is a private house. This is a typical three-entry courtyard courtyard in old Beijing, very generous, in ancient times, only the official eunuch family or the wealthy merchant magnate above the second grade had such a courtyard.
I followed Hu Qi and the man in the suit through the small courtyard, opposite which was an antique building, which I knew was called the "middle hall" in the courtyard, which is now called the living room, the place where the guests were received, and it seemed that the person who wanted to see me must be waiting for me in the middle hall. I don't know why, maybe it's the influence of the environment and atmosphere, my heart, which has always been calm, beat unconsciously, and I feel an inexplicable nervousness.
The door of the middle hall is open, I followed Hu Qi into the middle hall with the man in a suit, but found that there was no one inside, I looked around, inside is a typical Ming and Qing Dynasty hall layout, there is a case table in the front, there are two Taishi chairs next to it, it is the so-called main seat, there are two circle chairs and two small tables on each side, it is the so-called side seat, behind the main seat is a plain wooden screen, there is a plaque at the top of the screen, and the plaque is written with three big characters "Taidoutang" in block letters.
Looking at this plaque, I secretly laughed in my heart, the owner of this house is really angry, dare to call himself "Taidou", I don't know which Taidou is it, and what age is it now, what "Taidou", "Suzerain", is the dragon has to lie down, it is the tiger to lie down, to be a low-key person, self-styled Taidou, not a charlatan, or the brain is in water.
Looking further under the plaque, there is a painting in the middle, this kind of painting is also commonly known as "Zhongtang" because it is hung in the middle hall, and the two sides of the painting are a couplet.
I didn't look at the couplets on both sides, but the painting in the middle caught my attention, the more I looked at the middle of the painting, the more familiar I felt, as if I had seen it somewhere, and then I looked at the four small characters next to the painting, when I saw these four words, I was excited to shiver, only to see that these four words were written in the seal book, I don't know much about other seal words, but I was very impressed by these four seal words, these four words are: Tiangang Beidou.
And in the middle of the picture of this painting are two old men, both are Taoist costumes, the characters are painted vividly, there are pavilions and pavilions in the picture, two people sit in the pavilion and seem to talk and laugh, there are cranes and pine trees around them, there are small bridges and flowing water next to the pavilion, the pavilion is grand and majestic, there are three floors, and there is a mythical beast above each floor.
This painting is one of the four images in the Taoist treasure "Spirit Snake Bead"! I had seen this painting when Chubby showed me the Spirit Snake Beads.
There are four scenes in the spirit snake beads, Taoism has the four elephants in the spirit snake beads in the "Golden Lock Flowing Beads", and all the elephants are resting, so these four scenes are also called the four elephants, which allude to the saying of the green dragon, the white tiger, the vermilion bird, and the four images of Xuanwu.
The first image is the scene of Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng sitting and talking, in fact, Taoists call this image "Lao Yin", and according to legend, the pavilions and pavilions in the picture are the places where Yuan Tiangang and his disciple Li Chunfeng hide their bones, to put it bluntly, it is actually the place where these two immortals are buried. The last time Cheng Jiao was ordered to explore the Tiangang Tomb was to find this place, but due to an accident in the underground cave, we still didn't find it in the end.
The second image in the spirit snake bead is a constellation map centered on the Big Dipper, Taoists call this image "Shaoyang", it is said that this star map contains infinite mysteries, everyone who sees it has a different perspective, just like the Hetu Luoshu, giving birth to infinite imagination, and infinite imagination is finally reduced to the only nature. As the so-called "one yuan, two poles, three talents, four images, five elements, six elements, seven stars, eight trigrams, nine palaces, ten directions", the mystery is endless, and the ultimate and greatest mystery is nothing more than the relationship between man and nature, that is, "life and death", "past and future" in the "ten directions".
The third image in the spirit snake bead is some mysterious lines, Taoists call this image "Shaoyin", it is said that these lines are the only guide to find the place where Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng are buried, and there is a shocking secret buried with them, Cheng Jiao was ordered by the boss of a wholesaler to explore the tomb of Tiangang, perhaps to explore this shocking secret, about decades ago the mysterious archaeological team was also the same purpose, but in the end it was not realized, so the real mystery behind these lines is still unknown.
The fourth elephant in the spirit snake bead has only four seal characters: Tiangang Beidou, Taoists call this elephant "Lao Yang", which is very simple to explain literally, but as for what is hidden in these four seal characters, it is even more esoteric and difficult to find.
The spirit snake bead is the treasure of Taoism, the mystery is endless, only the "three talents" numerology people can contact it, it is very difficult for ordinary people to peek at it, why is there such a painting hanging in this hall? Could it be that the owner of this house has any relationship with Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng, the two immortals of the Tang Dynasty? If this is the case, then it is not an exaggeration to hang the plaque of "Taidou Hall" in the central hall.
While thinking, I followed the big man in the suit and Hu Qi inside, bypassing the plain wood screen, which was the back door of the middle hall, and when I went out of the back door, I arrived at the so-called "inner house". "The courtyard is a little deeper", in ancient times, the inner house was an activity space for women or dependents, and ordinary people were not allowed to enter at will, even now, the inner house is also a private space, unless someone who is very familiar with the owner, it will not receive guests in it.
There is also a small courtyard in the inner house, and there is a tree in the middle, and I can see that the trunk of this tree is thick, the branches and leaves are luxuriant, and the canopy covers almost the entire courtyard, which seems to be an old tree of quite an age. I looked at this tree, I think it is very awkward, in the courtyard, planting trees is also particular, the general courtyard house is planted persimmon trees or jujube trees, pomegranate trees and the like, in order to draw an auspicious, take a colorful head. Jujube trees, pomegranate trees imply early birth of noble sons, many sons and grandchildren, planting persimmon trees means that everything is going well, once in season, it is often full of fruits, full of vitality. However, the tree planted in the inner house of this courtyard house is a locust tree.
In the past, there was a folk proverb in Beijing: "Mulberry pine, cypress and pear locust, do not enter the palace of the king", which is the taboo of planting trees in the courtyard. Pine, cypress, and poplar trees are common tree species in cemeteries and temples, and cannot be planted at home, while mulberry and pear trees are homophonic with "mourning" and "leaving" respectively, and it is unlucky to plant them at home, and they will not be planted. Especially this locust tree, the word "locust" is composed of "wood" and "ghost", the ancients believed that this tree is a tree with extremely heavy yin qi, in ancient times, someone buried the ashes of the deceased under the tree, and over time this tree will gather ghosts into essence, if this tree is planted at home, it will be haunted by ghosts all day long, ghosts and ghosts are born, day and night are not peaceful, and even more, the wife will be separated, and the family will be ruined.
Why would the owner of this house plant such a locust tree in the courtyard of his inner house? Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng are the Tang Dynasty, and can also be said to be the most famous physiognomy and feng shui masters in China, if the owner of this house has a relationship with Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng, or even the descendants of Yuan and Li two immortal masters, doesn't he understand feng shui? I felt very strange.
On both sides of the courtyard house are the wings, the wings are generally used as guest rooms and study rooms, and the front of the small courtyard is the main room, that is, the master's living room and bedroom. The man in the suit led us to the west wing, knocked on the door gently, and said, "Master, someone has brought it." ”
"Come in." Someone inside replied. The voice was cold and powerful.
The man in the suit pushed open the door of the wing, motioned for Hu Qi and me to enter, and then closed the door outside.
This is a study, very neat and bright, the furnishings in the room are antique, there is a table of eight immortals in the center, there is a person standing behind the table with his back to the door, looking at the back is a young man, tall, very good shape, this person has one hand behind his back, and the other hand is holding something and watching.
Seeing this person's back, I had an inexplicable feeling, as if this figure was both familiar and unfamiliar, déjà vu, but I couldn't remember where I had seen it. (To be continued.) )
