Chapter 490: Tumbledown Alley and Lockhart
After being picked up from the house by Ron and his twin brother in a speeding car, Harry spent a few days happily at Ron's house.
Although Ron's attitude towards himself during this time made Harry feel very strange, and he always felt as if Ron had some opinion about himself, but every time he asked Ron, Ron would not say.
However, because Ron's other brothers and Mrs. Weasley were kind to him, Harry didn't pay much attention to these things.
By Wednesday, Mrs. Weasley had woken them up early in the morning. They each hurriedly ate five or six pieces of meat sandwiches and then put on their coats. Mrs. Weasley picked up a flower pot from the kitchen mantelpiece and looked inside.
"Not much, Arthur," she sighed, "I'll have to go buy some today, all right, guests please! Harry, you come first!"
She brought the pot to him.
Harry froze, and everyone looked at him.
"What should I do?" He stammered.
"He hasn't traveled with Floo powder. Ron suddenly said, "I'm sorry, Harry, I forgot. β
In fact, Ron didn't forget, he just deliberately didn't remind Harry, and was ready to watch him make a fool of himself.
"Haven't used it?" Mr. Weasley asked, "And how did you get to Diagon Alley last year to buy school supplies?"
"I took the subway. β
"Really?" Mr. Weasley asked excitedly, "Is there an elevator?" β
"Don't ask now, Arthur. Mrs. Weasley said, "Harry is much faster with Floo powder, but, my God, if you haven't used it before." β
"He's fine, Mom. Fred said, "Harry, let's see what we do. β
He picked up a pinch of shiny powder from the pot, walked over to the stove, and threw the powder into the flames.
With a whew, the fire turned green and rose higher than Fred's. He walked straight into the fire and shouted "Diagon Alley!" It was gone in the blink of an eye.
"You must make those words clear, child," Mrs. Weasley said to Harry, and George put his hand in the pot, "Don't go to the wrong door when you come out."
"Don't go wrong with what?" Harry asked nervously, and the flames roared and burst out, sweeping George away as well.
"You know, there are many kinds of magic fires, you have to choose right, but as long as you speak clearly"
"He's going to be fine, Molly, don't be nervous. Mr. Weasley said, taking some road powder as well. "But my dear, if he gets lost, how are we going to explain it to his aunt and uncle?" They won't be in a hurry. Harry reassured her, "Dudley will think that my disappearance in the chimney is a wonderful joke, you don't have to worry. "That.. All right.. You walk behind Arthur. Mrs. Weasley said, "Remember, as soon as you walk into the fire, say where you're going." β
"Close your eyes," said Mrs. Weasley, "there's sootβ"
At this time, Ron wanted to warn Harry not to move, but when the words came to his lips, he stopped again.
Harry took a deep breath, sprinkled the powder into the fire, and walked forward, the flame was like a hot wind, and he opened his mouth and immediately took a long puff of hot soot.
After Harry left, Mrs. Weasley looked at Mr. Weasley and asked hesitantly, "Did Harry just shout Diagon Alley?"
"Not really. Ron replied.
The reason why Ron was so sure was because Fang Ze told him in his mind about the last trading task he owed himself in the end.
Rescue Harry from Tumbledown Alley.
"What a troublesome fellow, is he the prophesied savior or a baby who needs to be cared for all the time. Ron walked into the fire and quickly shouted in a voice his parents couldn't hear, "Tumble down alley." β
After a whirlwind, Ron appeared in the midst of the fires in Tumbledown Alley, but it was still some way from Harry's location, so Ron had to get there as quickly as possible.
There were a lot of ill-intentioned people looking at Ron along the way, but Ron didn't care at all, after all, he was the one who killed people.
And now that he has a new wand, and can use the magic of Blade Shadowless, which can kill people at will, his heart has begun to swell.
An old wooden street sign hangs in front of a shop selling poison candles, and the wooden pai hill reads Tumbledown Alley. But it didn't work, Harry had never heard of this place. He thought he might have swallowed a mouthful of cigarette ash while in the Weasley's stove and didn't make the name of the place clear. He struggled to keep his composure, thinking about what to do.
"Aren't you lost, darling?" A voice suddenly sounded in his ears, startling him.
An old witch stood in front of him, holding a plate that resembled a whole piece of a dead man's fingernails. Looking at him obliquely, revealing mossy teeth, Harry hurriedly backed away.
But as Harry retreated, the old witch was also Harry, and she seemed to see that Harry was alone.
A little wizard, very interesting material.
The old witch smiled as she began to try to pull her wand out of her sleeve.
At this moment, another teenager's voice rang out. "Harry. β
Harry quickly turned his head and realized that it was Ron who was calling him.
"Ron, why are you here!" Harry exclaimed in surprise as he saw Ron.
The old witch was a little nervous, but when he saw that Ron was just a child, he immediately smiled.
Here comes another one.
The old witch thought happily.
At this moment, Ron took out his wand from his sleeve and shouted at the old witch, "Blade!"
A transparent blade immediately hit the old witch, and the old witch hurriedly used protective magic to protect her, but because Shenfeng Shadowless is black magic, the effect is very powerful, so the old witch's skin still left a gap because of her identity.
A large amount of blood poured out of the old witch's wound, and the old witch looked at Ron with hatred, and immediately used the illusion to leave Tumbledown Alley, if he didn't leave, maybe he would become someone else's prey.
"Ron, how are you. Harry looked at Ron in surprise, not knowing what to say for a moment, after all, he had never imagined that his friend would be so powerful.
Moreover, the magic that can make people bleed at once just now is especially terrifying to watch.
"Stop talking. Ron looked at Harry impatiently, then said to him, "Get out of here, or there's more trouble in a moment." β
After Ron finished speaking, he quickly asked Harry to follow him out of Tumble Alley, although Ron had just single-handedly suppressed the other ill-intentioned people in Tumbledown Alley, but he couldn't guarantee that a stunned young man would run out of nowhere.
So Ron hurriedly pulled Harry out of Tumbledown Alley.
Harry and Ron came out of Tumbledown Alley and saw Hermione, Fred, George, Percy, and Mr. Weasley running briskly down the crowded street.
"Harry," Mr. Weasley gasped, "we wish you missed only one furnace door." He wiped his shiny bald top.
"Mollidu is in a hurry, she's coming soon. β
"Where did you come from?" Hermione asked.
"Tumbledown Alley. Ron said with a straight face.
"Great!" Fred and George cried out together. "The grown-ups never let us go. βγ
"We hadn't gone very far before I ran into Harry at the door of Tumbledown Alley. Ron actually wanted to blow it up, but he didn't dare say anything when he saw Mrs. Weasley rushing towards her.
Mrs. Weasley's handbag in one hand swayed violently, and Ginny pulled her other hand and struggled to follow. "Oh, Harry, oh, dearβyou can go anywhere. Breathless, she pulled a coat brush out of her bag and began to sweep the soot off Harry's body. Mr. Weasley took Harry's glasses, used a magic trick, and gave them back to him like new.
After a few people chatted for a while, Harry wanted to talk about Ron's performance in Tumbledown Alley, but Ron pulled the corner of Harry's clothes, and Harry didn't dare to say anything.
The group then went to Gringotts to withdraw the money, and Mr. Weasley was still curious about how Harry had managed to get out of Tumbledown Alley, but soon after entering Gringotts, it was his attention that was immediately diverted, as he saw Hermione's parents standing crampedly at the counter across the marble hall, waiting for Hermione to introduce them.
"Ah, you're Muggles!" Mr. Weasley said happily, "We've got to have a drink! What's that one in your hand? Oh, you're exchanging Muggle currency." Molly, look!" He excitedly pointed to the ten-pound bill in Mr. Granger's hand.
"I'll see you here in a moment. Harry told Hermione that the Weasleys and Harry were led by another Gringotts goblin to their underground vault.
The chaprechaun chariot whizzes through the small railroad tracks, through the bank's underground tunnels to the various vaults. Harry thought it was a great experience, but when the Weasley's vault opened, he felt even more terrible than when he was in Tumbledown Alley. Inside was a very inconspicuous pile of silver sico, with only one gold galleon. Mrs. Weasley touched the corners and corners and finally pulled all the coins into her bag. Arriving at his own vault, Harry felt even more embarrassed. Trying not to be seen, he hurriedly swept a few handfuls of coins into a purse.
Ron also saw Harry's movements, and remembered that Harry had a rich inheritance left by his parents, and couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
In terms of family, the Potters are definitely not as famous as the Weasleys in the wizarding world, but the Potters' legacy is too rich.
In fact, any pure-blood family is richer than the Weasleys.
Ron thought of the more than nine hundred gold Galleons he had in another vault at Gringotts, and wanted to take it out now, but he knew that he couldn't spend it when he couldn't tell where it came from.
After all, it was a thousand gold Galleons, and no one would throw such a huge sum of money anywhere and let an eleven or twelve-year-old child pick it up.
In the past, Ron was just worried that he had no money, but now he found that when he had money, there were still a lot of troubles.
The group broke up on the marble steps outside the bank. Percy mutters about buying a new quill and Fred and George see their friend Lee Jordan at Hogwarts school. Mrs. Weasley and Ginny are going to a shop that sells old robes. Mr. Weasley insists on taking the Granger family to the Leaky Cauldron for a drink.
"Meet at the Blotted bookstore in an hour to buy you textbooks. Mrs. Weasley confessed as she took Ginny and left. "Don't go to Tumbledown Alley!" She shouted at the twin brother's back.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione wander the winding cobbled streets. The gold, silver, and copper coins rang in Harry's pocket, shouting for them to be spent. So he bought three big pieces of strawberry peanut butter ice cream. They wander the alleys with ice cream and browse the shop windows. Ron stared reluctantly at the full set of Chadri artillery uniforms displayed in the window of the Quidditch boutique, and when he got to school and no one cared about himself, he had to buy one.
Ron thought to himself.
However, at this time, he didn't take into account at all that there was no way for him to come to Diagon Alley at Hogwarts.
At a magical joke shop, they run into Fred, George, and Lee Jordan. They are buying in large quantities "Dr. Labor's automatic ignition, seeing water and blooming magical fireworks". In a thrift store filled with tattered wands, rickety copper scales, and drug-stained old cloaks, they find Percy concentrating on a very boring book, How Prefects Gain Power.
Looking at all this, Ron thought to himself, he didn't have the money to buy a snack on the train before, but the twin brother had the money to buy joke goods.
Percy, the pride of his parents, was bent on gaining power, but never thought about how to take care of his younger brother at school.
This family is really too bad for themselves.
The resentment in Ron's heart grew stronger. He suddenly thought of the Dark Lord's mark that Fang Ze had asked him to plant on that corpse.
Perhaps, if he becomes the Dark Lord, then all this, money, power, and strength, will not be lacking.
Ron was taken aback by his own thoughts, though he was yearning for it a little now.
An hour later, they walked towards the Blotted bookstore, which was far more than a few of them. They were surprised to find a large crowd of people crowded outside the store, all wanting to enter. A large banner was pulled upstairs: Gilderoy Lockhart autobiography signed for sale today from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. "We can meet him in person!"
Hermione exclaimed, "I mean, almost all the books on the list are written by him!" The majority of the crowd seemed to be witches of Mrs. Weasley's age. A weary male wizard stood in the doorway and said, "Ladies, be quiet. Don't be crowded... Beware of the books.."
Harry, Ron, and Hermione slipped through the cracks. The zigzag line runs from the doorway to the back of the bookstore, where Gilderoy Lockhart signs books. They each grabbed a copy of "Breaking with the Female Ghost" and sneaked to the Weasleys and the Granger couples to line up.
"Oh, you're here, that's great. Mrs. Weasley said. She was short of breath and kept beating her hair. "We'll see him in a moment."
Gradually, they saw Gildero. He sat behind his desk, surrounded by large photographs of himself of faces all blinking at the crowd and showing their teeth dazzling white.
The real Lockhart wears a robe as blue as a forget-me-not flower, matching his blue eyes. The peaked wizard's hat is playfully crooked over a curly hair.
This man is very powerful, and Ron found that most of his textbooks were written by this person, since he can't afford to be jealous.
After all, this is something that the Dark Lord can't do.
At this moment, Fang Ze suddenly laughed in Ron's mind.
