Chapter 52: The Temple of the Reclining Buddha 3

The night fades away. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info dawn will eventually come.

On the second day after the Double Ninth Festival, in the early morning, the eastern sky was faintly revealing the white of the fish's belly, and the sky and the earth were still gray, with high black hair, wearing a blue-gray long Confucian shirt, stepping on blue-gray soap boots, and habitually holding a bamboo Xiao Liang Shengxiao stepped on a leisurely pace, walked into the Rongjia Garden, which was still immersed in the quiet, and knocked on the door of the cold and sunny room.

At that time, Leng Qing was still sleeping soundly on the bed in the room, and in the fog of sleepy eyes, she heard a few unhurried "doodoo" knocks on the door, and Leng Qing, whose brain was still in a state of confusion, thought that she was a palace maid who came to Rongjiayuan to clean, so she lazily responded: "Let me sleep for a while............

It was already one o'clock in the morning when Zhu Zimo came last night, and when he finished talking about the matter, he sent Zhu Zimo away, and Leng Qing washed and slept again, it was more than two o'clock in the morning. Leng Qing is used to going to bed early and getting up early, and as soon as this biological clock is suddenly disrupted, Leng Qing is a little unable to adapt.

Because I'm so sleepy, Leng Qing doesn't want to move her nest at all!

What's more, being woken up when you are sleepy, Leng Qing is already good if she doesn't lose her temper, okay!

It's just that what Leng Qing didn't expect was that it was Liang Shengxiao's faintly smiling voice that responded to her through the closed door and into the ears of Leng Qing who was nesting on the bed: "Miss Leng, it's a long way to go to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, if Miss Leng sleeps again, I'm afraid we won't be able to go back to Crepe Ping tonight." ”

After hearing Liang Shengxiao's faint laughing voice, Leng Qing, who was lying sideways on the bed, was in a daze to reunite with her father-in-law, or continued to be confused for a while before she suddenly remembered - yes! She made an appointment with Liang Shengxiao last night to go to the Reclining Buddha Temple today!! And Zhu Zimo!! She also told Zhu Zimo that he would create a "chance encounter" when they went down the mountain!!

Then, Leng Qing, who suddenly came to her senses, jumped off the bed with a carp, changed her clothes neatly, and responded to Liang Shengxiao's words eagerly: "Wait a minute! I'll be out right away! ”

In order to save trouble, Leng Qing's outfit is still the same as yesterday's - three thousand green silk is pulled into a simple ball head, a pink jade plum blossom is swayed in her hair, and she wears a bright red Liuxian dress.

When Leng Qing was dressed and made sure that there was nothing wrong, Leng Qing opened the door and went out.

As soon as he opened the door, Leng Qing stood quietly outside the door, with high black hair, wearing a blue-gray long Confucian shirt, stepping on blue-gray soap boots, and habitually holding a bamboo Xiao Liang Shengxiao took a look.

After smiling and Liang Shengxiao exchanged a few words of apology, Leng Qing, who was still eroded by sleepiness, followed Liang Shengxiao, who was smiling like the wind, out of Rongjia Garden.

Liang Shengxiao did not take Leng Qing out of the Prince's Mansion directly, but first took Leng Qing to the stables in the Prince's Mansion.

Liang Shengxiao said that the road from Crepe Ping City to the Reclining Buddha Temple is a bit far, just walking to the foot of the mountain has to walk for more than two hours, and then climb from the foot of the mountain to the Reclining Buddha Temple built on the mountainside, another hour, so it is better to take a carriage to the Reclining Buddha Temple. And by carriage, Leng Qing can continue to rest in the carriage.

So, after Leng Qing and Liang Shengxiao greeted the groom guarding the stables in the Prince's Mansion, they took away the most inconspicuous carriage parked in the Prince's Mansion.

It is said to be the most inconspicuous carriage, but how can the chariot in the prince's mansion really be inconspicuous?

At most, compared to the other chariots parked in the stables in the prince's mansion, the carriage chosen by Liang Shengxiao and Leng Qing was more inconspicuous, simple and ordinary.

The driver was a middle-aged horseman in the Prince's Mansion, because Liang Shengxiao said that when they reached the foot of the Reclining Buddha Temple, the carriage could not go up the mountain road, so they had to abandon the carriage on foot, so they needed someone to guard the carriage at the foot of the mountain.

From Liang Shengxiao's words, Leng Qing vaguely heard that if it weren't for the fact that the carriage couldn't go up the mountain, I was afraid that Liang Shengxiao wouldn't have taken an extra groom to drive.

But Leng Qing thought again: If you don't bring a groom, who will drive the carriage? Is it Liang Shengxiao? Or is she??

Maybe she was really sleepy, and since she got into the carriage, Leng Qing began to yawn for days, completely ignoring the fact that there was a prince who had only been promoted yesterday sitting opposite her.

When the carriage staggered out of the prince's mansion, Leng Qing fell asleep completely against the wall of the carriage.

It can be said that from Creping City to the foot of the Reclining Buddha Temple, Leng Qing slept all the way.

When she was completely asleep, Leng Qing didn't feel particularly uncomfortable, and only occasionally felt that some places on her body seemed to be caught by something, which made her a little uncomfortable, but that feeling was not strong and could be basically ignored.

What's more, in the face of the strong overwhelming sleepiness, that little discomfort is nothing to Leng Qing, and if you endure it with your eyes closed, you won't feel it.

It's just that when the carriage stopped at the foot of the Reclining Buddha Temple, and Leng Qing, who was sleeping on the wall of the carriage, was awakened by Liang Shengxiao's gentle voice, Leng Qing only felt that every bone in her body seemed to have been dismantled—every bone joint was painful, and it didn't hurt like her own.

Especially the bones in the waist and neck, every time these two places moved, Leng Qing seemed to be able to hear the "click" bone joint friction sound.

And when Leng Qing walked out of the carriage with one hand on her painful waist and her stiff neck with the other, Leng Qing suddenly found that the sky was so dark and muddy that she couldn't even see the road under her feet when she went out.

A round of fire-like sunrise hung obliquely in the distant sky, illuminating this vast world.

Because the joints of his body were screaming in pain, in order not to increase his pain, Leng Qing had to get out of the carriage with the help of Liang Shengxiao, and then followed Liang Shengxiao to the foot of a high mountain only a few steps away from the carriage.

As early as when she was woken up by Liang Shengxiao, Leng Qing heard Liang Shengxiao say that they had arrived at the foot of the Reclining Buddha Temple.

But at this moment, Leng Qing stood at the foot of the high mountain and looked up, looking up at the mountain, but only as far as the eye could see, except for a bluestone staircase that looked very smooth and smooth and a lush vegetation that meandered upwards and spread out, Leng Qing couldn't see the so-called Reclining Buddha Temple at all.

However, near the top of the mountain, it was so cold that I saw a few layers of gray-white pagoda body that penetrated the lush vegetation of the mountain, exposed to heaven and earth, and bathed in the morning sun.

Standing at the foot of the mountain and looking at the small towers and the top of the tower that were exposed near the top of the mountain, Leng Qing thought that it should be the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda in the Reclining Buddha Temple.

Although the Reclining Buddha Temple is built in the middle of the mountain, the geographical location is extremely high, but the process of climbing the mountain is not boring, because every time Leng Qing steps on a layer of bluestone steps, the bone joints on Leng Qing's body will hurt. That kind of pain, although it didn't make Leng Qing lie down in pain, was enough to torture Leng Qing's pain nerves.

And the pain that accompanied him all the way didn't give Leng Qing time to feel what "boredom" was!!

When she finally stepped into the mountain gate of the Reclining Buddha Temple, Leng Qing swore hatefully in her heart that she would never sleep in the carriage if she was killed in the future!!

The reason why Wat Pho Temple is called "Wat Pho Temple" is naturally because there is a big Buddha lying in the temple.

Now this is located in the Tiancheng continent one of the nine countries of the Liang capital outside the city of the Reclining Buddha Temple, it was built more than 400 years ago, after two dynasties, still incense is still flourishing, it is really a rare ancient temple.

More than 400 years ago, the Tiancheng Kingdom that had been inherited on the Tiancheng Continent for more than 1,000 years had not yet perished, and the national strength was still in the peak of prosperity.

The Reclining Buddha Temple was originally funded by the royal family of Tiancheng Kingdom in the previous dynasty, so when the Reclining Buddha Temple was built, it has been enshrined as a royal temple by members of the royal family of Tiancheng Kingdom.

Later, only about two hundred years, the country of Tiancheng was broken, the royal family of Tiancheng country was slaughtered, although the temple of the reclining Buddha lost the title of "royal temple" due to the demise of the country of Tiancheng, but its incense flourished, but it was unexpectedly enduring.

If you talk about it carefully, in fact, after the destruction of Tiancheng Kingdom, the incense of the Reclining Buddha Temple was more prosperous than when Tiancheng Kingdom was still alive. Because when the Temple of the Reclining Buddha was no longer a royal temple, the pilgrims of the Temple of the Reclining Buddha changed from those fixed members of the royal family to all the ordinary people on the Tiancheng Continent who were not fixed but innumerable.

Because of the vast number of people as the foundation, there is a steady stream of pilgrims, so it is inevitable that the incense of the Reclining Buddha Temple will flourish and endure.

The Temple of the Reclining Pho sits in the north and faces south, and is divided into three road layouts. In the middle road, there are "Tongshen Secret Collection" archway, merit pool, bell and drum tower, mountain gate hall, four heavenly kings hall, three Buddha halls, reclining Buddha hall, Tibetan scripture building, on both sides of the Bodhidharma hall and Sita Prince Hall and other side halls. The East Road Courtyard is the living place of the monks, and there are six courtyards such as the Great Lent Hall, the Great Meditation Hall, the Ji Yongxuan, the Qingliang Pavilion, and the Patriarch's Courtyard. There are five courtyards on the west road, including three palace courtyards. Therefore, the east and west roads are known as "three palaces and six courtyards".

The Third Buddha Hall is the main hall in the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, and is named after the worship of the Three Buddhas (i.e., the Medicine Buddha of the Eastern Pure Glass World, the Shakyamuni Buddha of the Mother-in-law World, and the Amitabha Buddha of the Western Elysium). On the Sumeru seat, which is about one meter high, three three-meter-high clay statues with gold Buddha sit on the lotus seat, and the two sides of the hall are eighteen Arhats with colored sculptures.

The third Buddha hall has the east and west side halls, the east side hall is dedicated to the statues of "Prince Sita" and "Persian King", and the west side hall is dedicated to the statues of "Bodhidharma Patriarch" and "Jizo Bodhisattva".

The reclining Buddha hall is three rooms wide, the green glazed tube tile yellow cut edge slip rests on the top of the mountain, the couplets on both sides are said to be the book of a certain queen mother of the royal family of Tiancheng country, who is the specific queen mother, has not been able to test.

The reclining Buddha in the reclining Buddha hall is all cast in copper, the bronze Buddha is sleeping and lying down, leisurely on the Buddha altar, the head is west and south, the left hand is naturally flat on the leg, and the right hand is bent to support the head. The posture of the Buddha is expressing the posture of the Buddha when he pursued nirvana.

Behind the reclining Buddha sit the Twelve Circle Enlightened Bodhisattvas, their faces with heavy and sad expressions, forming a picture of Shakyamuni Nirvana under the Brahma tree, instructing the twelve disciples about the future.

On the front wall of the temple hangs a horizontal plaque that reads "Be at ease". There is a stele on the left and right outside the hall, and the stele is engraved with a brief history of the Reclining Buddha Temple. There are dozens of large cabinets in the hall, all of which hide a volume of scriptures, usually sealed and locked, and only open the seal and unlock when the scriptures are dried on June 24 every year.

Mountain Gate Palace, take the homonym of "three gates". Meaning: As soon as you enter these three gates, you will be introduced into a quiet place. The temple ** is dedicated to the god of guarding the door - hum two generals.

Six Buddha statues are enshrined in the Tianwang Palace: Maitreya Buddha, the Four Heavenly Kings, and Wei Dao Bodhisattva.

Maitreya Bodhisattva, transliterated as Cishi, transliterated as Mei Yuliye, Mei Tan Li Medicine, one of the eight great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism, often called Ayita Bodhisattva in the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures, is the successor of Shakyamuni Buddha, and is often honored as Maitreya Buddha.

The Four Heavenly Kings are the protector gods of Buddhism, also known as the Four Heavenly Kings of the Protector of the World, and are the four gods of the 20 heavens of Buddhism, located in the first heaven of the world of sava. The first heaven is also called the Four Heavenly King Heavens, and it is located on the four peaks on the mountainside of Mount Meru. The statues of the four heavenly kings are usually arranged on both sides of the first hall of the Buddhist temple, hence the name of the heavenly king hall.

Wei Dao Bodhisattva, also known as Wei Tuotian, Sanskrit name transliterated as private Tuo Deva, meaning cloudy day, was originally the god of Indian Brahmanism, the head of the thirty-two generals under the throne of the four heavens, and later naturalized as the protector of Buddhism, is one of the representatives of the protector Vajra in Buddhism.

Legend has it that when Shakyamuni was in Nirvana, the heavens and kings divided the relics of the Buddha after cremation, and each went back to build a pagoda to make offerings. Wei Tuo also got a Buddha's tooth and was about to return to heaven. A swift ghost fishes in troubled waters, steals a pair of Buddha tooth relics, and runs away. Wei Dao fought hard to catch up, and in an instant, he captured the swift ghost and recaptured the Buddha relics. The heavens and kings praised Wei Tuo for his ability to drive away evil spirits and protect the Dharma. As a result, Veda was known as the Dharma Protector Bodhisattva.

The Third Buddha Hall is also known as the Daxiong Treasure Hall.

The three Buddha halls are the most of the halls, the face is wide and five, and the depth is three, and the green glazed tiles and yellow cut edges are single-eaves on the top of the mountain. The front door of the hall is hung on the forehead of the founding emperor of the Great Liang State royal pen "Shuanglin Suijing" wooden plaque, and the couplets on both sides of the door: "Cuizhu Yellow Flower Zen Forest Empty Hue, Treasure Jewel Luo Fan Yu Miao Solemn" is also the founding emperor of the Great Liang State royal pen pro-mention. The hall is enshrined - Heng III Buddha, the Medicine Buddha of the Eastern Pure Glass World, the Shakyamuni Buddha of the Mother-in-law World, and the Amitabha Buddha of the Western Elysium. The east and west sides of the Third Buddha are dedicated to the eighteen Arhats, and the rear is dedicated to the island Guanyin.

Leng Qing didn't know much about the layout of the Reclining Buddha Temple, so since she entered the mountain gate of the Reclining Buddha Temple, Leng Qing has been following Liang Shengxiao in the Reclining Buddha Temple.

Liang Shengxiao is not idle, every time he walks to a place, he will explain to Leng Qing concisely where that place is the Reclining Buddha Temple; or what the place is for; Or what kind of Buddha is enshrined in it.

Along the way, let's talk about it, Leng Qing is so clear that I have a rough understanding of the layout of the Reclining Buddha Temple.

When Liang Shengxiao finally stopped in front of a magnificent temple, Leng Qing looked up at the plaque on the door of the hall, and it was actually the third Buddha hall that Liang Shengxiao had just said.
