Chapter 22: Before the game
That night, the Gryffindor common room was bustling with activity, after all, the next day was a Quidditch match, and it was Harry's first game, and everyone was talking about how exciting tomorrow's game would be, and Darren was sitting in the common room with Harry, Ron, and Hermione for the first time in weeks, Hermione was checking Harry and Ron's magic class homework, and Darren was "checking" Hermione's homework. However, it seems that Harry has been fidgeting, Darren thought he was worried about tomorrow's game, and comforted him to relax his nerves and not keep thinking about tomorrow's game, but when he asked, it turned out that this afternoon, Hermione lent Harry's "Quidditch Tracing Origin" was confiscated by Snape, and Gryffindor was deducted five points, it seems that Darren and the twins have put a lot of pressure on Slytherin with this broadcast system.
Finally, Harry couldn't take it anymore and stood up and said that he was going to ask Snape if he could give him the book back.
"I won't go if I change it." As a result, after Harry finished speaking, Hermione and Ron expressed their opinions in unison, and Darren kept nodding, Harry, haven't you heard of sheep in the mouth of a tiger? If it were Darren, he wouldn't have been unhappy with Snape at the start of the game.
However, Harry seemed to have made up his mind and left the common room, leaving Darren with Ron and Hermione looking at each other and wishing him good luck.
A moment later, Harry appeared in the lounge out of breath, and went straight back to his seat, his face pale.
"Did you get the book?" Looking at Harry's appearance, Ron asked worriedly, "What's going on?"
Harry looked around and lowered his voice as he recounted what he had just seen.
Snape and Filch were the only two in the staff lounge, and Snape pulled his robe above his knee, one leg dripping with blood and flesh, and Filch handed him the bandage.
Snape also said, "Damn it, how can you keep three heads on at the same time?"
"And then?" Ron asked impatiently.
"Then Snape spotted me, and before he could deduct points, I ran back." Harry pursed his lips and continued, "Do you know what that means? He wanted to enter that forbidden hallway! The same one I went in with Ron last time, and I'm willing to bet with my broomstick that he let the troll in to distract people!"
After Harry's words, Hermione's eyes widened.
"Noβhe won't," she said, "I know he's not good, but why did he go into that hallway?" β
"Honestly, Hermione, you always think that all teachers are saints." Ron said unceremoniously, "I agree with Harry. I think Snape can do everything. Could it be what he was looking for? What could a big dog do with, maybe it was guarding something, what Snape was looking for. β
Darren was really convinced when he heard this, Ron, you won, this can make you guess the truth, as long as you add another pair of glasses, you can go out and turn left and go to the next set to make a cameo as an elementary school student.
The next morning, Darren opened the window of his bedroom, and it was sunny outside, but it was a little cold, and the cold air poured into the room, causing the young wizards who had not yet woken up to wail and complain, but Harry must not miss breakfast and go hungry to the game.
After jumping together, they arrive at the dining room and find the smell of grilled sausages in the air, and everyone at the table is looking forward to a good Quidditch match and chatting happily.
In stark contrast, Harry had no appetite at all.
"You have to have a few bites of breakfast."
"I don't want to eat anything."
"Let's have some toast."
"I'm not hungry."
"Eat, if you don't want to be distracted by hunger during the game and make the first game the last," compared to Hermione and Ron, Darren was much more simple and rude, just piling Harry's plate with roasted sausages and bread slices, and glaring at him.
Darren's words, apparently echoed by the others, "Harry, you need to maintain your stamina, the Seeker is always the one the opponent is guarding against. β
Because of the game, there were no classes on the day, and many students arrived early in the stands around the Quidditch pitch, many of them with binoculars, because the game was completely in the air, and the distance from the spectators was so far away that even though the stands were almost the same as the ring that served as the goal, fifty feet, or fifteen meters high, it was said that it was still difficult to see the game at times.
Darren followed Ron and Hermione to the top row, joining Neville, Seamus and West Ham fans Dean, for this game, they were carefully prepared, Ron drew a huge banner with a sheet that said Potter must win, Dean who is good at drawing, and also drew a large Gryffindor lion underneath, and then Hermione used magic to make the paint on the banner shimmer with different colors, like an LED display.
The others were okay, but Darren was a little surprised that Ron would be so bold in contributing a sheet, but then Ron told him that the sheet had been stained by his pet mouse spots, so he simply didn't want it.
Hearing Ron's words, Darren couldn't help but capitalize the word "suit", isn't Spotted Peter Pettigrew, he even has the same living habits as a real mouse, playing lurking to this point, this guy is also very human, but this perseverance is used to do something bad, it has to be used to be a rat, it seems that the golden sentence "Although the road of life is long, there are only a few steps in the critical place, especially when people are young", I am honest......
Just when Darren sighed, there was a sudden burst of deafening cheers on the court, it turned out that the players from both sides of the competition had played, the Gryffindor team wore bright red uniforms, and the Slytherin team was unsurprisingly green, but the distance was too far away, Darren couldn't see the appearance of the players at all, and could only distinguish Harry by his size, because he was the smallest.
The referee of the game, Mrs. Huo Qi, was already standing in the center of the court, holding her broomstick in her hand, waiting for the players of both sides.
As the team gathered around her, Darren saw Mrs. Hooch say a few words to both players, then make a gesture, and all the team members stepped onto their broomsticks.
Then Mrs. Hodge blew the silver whistle in her mouth vigorously.
The race is on!
