Chapter 64: Jizo Bodhicitta (2)

This old monk is not young, his eyebrows are white, and even his face is wrinkled, and his biggest feature is his brain.

His head was very bulging, and I remembered the Antarctic fairy Weng coldly, and based on this appearance alone, I first ruled out his suspicion.

In addition, I said in my heart that even if he didn't wear a robe, but just a casual dress, and he walked on the street, everyone would definitely think that he was different, even a person who had attained enlightenment.

During this time, the old monk was also observing us.

He kept smiling, and he clasped his hands together at us, and shouted, "Amitabha, several donors don't look ordinary, I don't know what the cost is when you come to Pudu Temple late at night?" ”

Without waiting for me to answer, Hu Zi preemptively pointed at the old monk and smelled, "Hey, who are you old monk?" ”

The old monk reported his name, saying that he was the presiding officer of Pudu Temple, and the Dharma name was to avoid it.

The beard suddenly laughed, and said again and again, "Quit force? Damn it, old Zen master, you have a lot of depth. ”

The other monks all glared at the beard. The old monk didn't have any angry posture at all.

As I observed the old Zen master, I felt more and more that this person was not simple.

At this time, Lao Ba moved, he touched his pocket, and took out a document with a black skin. I guess it's a police ID.

He threw his papers at the old Zen master. Of course, Lao Ba deliberately threw a trick, and after the document flew up, he deliberately swished around.

For ordinary people, there is no way to catch it, but the old Zen master seems to be very casual to raise his hand, he is still the same as playing magic, I didn't notice how he did it, anyway, he turned his palm back and forth twice, and finally caught the document steadily.

Lao Ba was surprised. The old Zen master squinted, which meant that he had some presbyopia.

He looked at his papers, and then he looked up at us silently.

We all exchanged glances, but we didn't say anything.

The old Zen master shouted Amitabha. He said to a monk next to him, "Xingkong, you represent me, and then take everyone to recite the sutra together, and I will leave for a while with a few donors." ”

This is called Xingkong, a fat-headed monk, who says that he has a big head and a thick neck, and he is either a big man or a man, but I found that there are special cases, such as being a monk.

This fat monk is very wary of us. His worried rhetorical question, "presiding over ......"

The old Zen master waved his hand, and then he made a gesture of invitation to us.

He should lead the way. We hesitated a little, and then followed him.

The other monks, all eyes on us. We didn't follow that closely, and we kept a distance of more than three meters from the old Zen master.

The old Zen master walked very slowly, even showing his old age.

The beard shook his head, and Lao Ba showed a completely opposite attitude. He said to the two of us, "Do you think that if we don't bring a gun, we can beat this old Zen master if we don't have a gun?" ”

Hu Zi took out a posture of complete disbelief and disobedience, pointed to the back of the old Zen master and said, "Just him? This master of precepts? ”

And I was shocked by Lao Ba's words, I knew that Lao Ba was not a casual joker.

I repositioned the old Zen master in my heart.

The old Zen master also seemed to hear Lao Ba's words, and he suddenly walked a little slower, but this lasted for a short time, and then he took on a "normal" appearance.

We ended up in front of a side house, which at first glance looked very basic, even a wooden house.

The old Zen master pushed open the creaking door and beckoned us in.

Beard and Lao Ba walked in side by side, I was half a beat slower, and when I entered, I found a long table next to the door, on which was a row of small people.

There are twenty-four of these little people with dark appearances, and they all have different postures, but they are obviously all playing kung fu.

Beard was very interested in these little people, and he leaned over and picked up one at random.

He used to be a pickpocket, and his eyes were poisonous. After he played with it, he said to the old Zen master a few times, "Yes, if you read it right, this is made of iron ploughwood, right?" ”

The old Zen master stared at the twenty-four villains and did not speak.

The beard snorted again, saying that the iron plough wood itself was expensive, and that it was used to carve such a fine little doll...... These little dolls can definitely sell for a big price.

The old Zen master Amitabha said, and he was not moved by the price at all.

I took advantage of the opportunity to look around the whole room, and there was a rudimentary bed and furniture, which was nothing of interest, but there was a large painting hanging on the east wall.

The painting is two meters long and one and a half meters wide, and the whole painting is divided into three parts, each part is a small whole, and the content is extremely visually conflicting.

I can't describe how I felt at this moment. I walked over slowly, admiring them one by one.

The small painting on the far left is full of corpses and murder weapons, this corpse is human, there are also animals, and the murder weapons, swords, swords, halberds, axes, axes, knives and forks, each murder weapon is stained with blood.

Let's talk about the middle one, the painting is full of newborns, newborns are white and fat, they are either laughing or crying, and there are also black, thin and thin newborns, these children have different expressions, either greedy eyes, or hideous expressions, and even children, take out the look of appreciation, turn their heads to look at the "massacre" scene on the left.

As for the painting on the far right, in the background of the rolling river, there is a monk who is holding a frail old man, he tries to pick the old man up, but the old man is obviously at the end of his life, and he is also on the verge of breath.

I don't know how long I've been looking at it, but when I look at this large painting, I feel strange in my heart, and for a moment I think of the scene of the slaughter, and then I think of the newborns, and then I think of the shadow of the monk in my mind.

I'll admit, I was a little confused all of a sudden.

The old Zen master noticed me, and he walked over slowly.

He deliberately raised his voice and shouted, "Amitabha." ”

This sentence of Amitabha Buddha is like thunder to me. I woke up suddenly.

I couldn't help but gasp and turn my head to look at the old Zen master.

The old Zen master smiled kindly, he pointed to the painting and said, "Little benefactor, this painting was copied by my friend, and after he gave it to me, I have been hanging it in my meditation room, and in my spare time, I look at it from time to time and think." ”

Lao Ba also came over when he was free, and of course he also heard the words of the old Zen master.

He asked coldly, "What are you thinking?" ”

The old Zen master waved at the painting, and he asked us both of us, "Someone asked the Buddha, 'Do you kill?' I wonder what the two donors will come up with. ”

Lao Baxian shook his head and said that the Buddha has always been compassionate, how can he kill?

The old Zen master smiled and shook his head. And I took advantage of the time to focus on painting again.

I didn't think too hard about it this time, and I didn't have any magic obstacles. I didn't know what I was thinking, and suddenly blurted out, "The Buddha not only kills, but also tirelessly!" ”

Lao Ba frowned, the old Zen master smiled, and they looked at me together.

Lao Ba first asked, "What do you think?" ”

This stopped me because I had only come up with an answer by chance. As for the old Zen master, he answered for me.

He said, "The Buddha not only kills, but he often kills, because he wants to purify sentient beings, and he wants to subdue demons and eliminate demons." ”

Lao Ba disagreed, adding, "Monks should keep the precepts, and the Buddha should be even more so, so if he wants to kill, isn't it a violation of the great precepts!" ”

The old Zen master held his hands high and explained with his eyes closed, "If the Buddha violates the precepts, he does not break the precepts. The reason for breaking the vows is because of the appearance of killing, the form of breaking the vows; The reason for not breaking the vows is that the Buddha did not have the slightest idea of killing in his heart, so it is in line with the spirit of the vows. ”

Lao Bada shook his head and said he didn't think so.

Then a question came to my mind, and I asked the old Zen master, "What did the Buddha think in his mind when he broke the vows?" Don't tell me it's Pudu sentient beings, subjugate demons and eliminate demons! ”

The old Zen master laughed, and he said something again.

According to his meaning, Buddhism is divided into Hinayana and Mahayana. Theravada Buddhism mainly adheres to the five precepts, the ten precepts, the bhikshu vows, and so on, and the precepts are very strict and clear. The most important thing in Mahayana Buddhism is to practice bodhichitta vows, to put it simply, by whether or not there is bodhichitta that benefits sentient beings, so Mahayana Buddhist monks will have some behaviors that seem to be violating the vows according to different causes.

Another example is the Patriarch of the Broken Mountain, who had to eat meat in order to prevent Li Dingguo from slaughtering the city, but the wine and meat passed through the intestines, and the Buddha stayed in his heart. This is both a transgression and a transgression.

I felt in my heart that the old Zen master's words were full of mystery.

This time, even Lao Ba didn't approve of it so strongly, he frowned and pondered.

I savored it again, and suddenly I thought of Jizo King Bodhisattva. I still remember a sentence that King Jizo Bodhisattva said.

In front of Lao Ba and Lao Zen Master, I said these words, "Hell is not empty, and I will not become a Buddha?" ”

The old Zen master bowed to me and replied to me, "Little donor, I can see that the three of you have stories, and your story is the most complicated, originally you have a good heart, and you have always held a concession attitude, but hell has always existed, demons and monsters are immortal, and they will not perish on their own, in order to save sentient beings, for more people to avoid catastrophe and destruction, you are not as good as hell, who will go to hell?" ”

I stared at the old Zen master. The old Zen master looked at the painting at this moment. He sang loudly, "Tu, Sheng, and Buddha, the three are born together, who can see clearly, who can escape?" ”

Lao Ba and I continued to think about it. At this time, Beard had played with those little dolls enough, and he shifted his energy and came over.

He looked at the painting and obviously didn't feel much. He also muttered, "What is this, I said master, please next time you collect paintings, can you get something connected, you see, these three paintings are obviously not the same style, nine times out of ten are pieced together!" ”

Then the beard leaned forward and touched the drawing paper. He snorted a few more times, and estimated that according to his eyes, he must have seen that this painting paper material was not good.

I said in my heart that sometimes the beard is too outward, and some things, in fact, are more valuable on the inside than on the outside.

The old Zen master then made another comment on Beard, saying that Beard did not come with ears this time.

Beard said he didn't understand, and he felt that we had lost too much time when we entered the room.

He took the initiative to suggest, "Let's talk about the business first, as for the rest, when we finish the business, let's discuss and appreciate it, okay?" ”
