The germination of China's ready-mixed concrete industry began in 1978, but the vigorous development of China's ready-mixed concrete began in 1987. I still clearly remember that in April 1987, the inaugural meeting of the National Concrete Association was held in Beijing, and Xiao Tong, president of the China Construction Industry Federation, and Professor Wu Zhongwei, a famous concrete expert, both focused on the issue of vigorously developing China's ready-mixed concrete in their speeches. The next day, CCTV's evening news reported the scene of the inaugural meeting of the National Concrete Association, and emphasized that one of the missions of the association is to vigorously promote the development of ready-mixed concrete in China. ”

"At present, the total annual output of ready-mixed concrete in China is less than 10 million cubic meters, while the total annual output of ready-mixed concrete in the United States and Japan in the same period is more than 100 million cubic meters, and the gap in the use rate of ready-mixed concrete is even greater. Although our ready-mixed concrete in Shanghai developed earlier in the country, and the current output accounts for about 20% of the country, the overall development is still not fast enough.
