Chapter 1 Secondary School I

Jason and Brady decided to find out about the recent oddities at Sacred Heart Middle School.

The first thing to be investigated must be the monster "Linga", which is loved by students of all grades, a nickname given by the son of a former British Indian bureaucrat to refer to this kind of ghost that has spread all over the campus at some point.

The "ringa" is generally 30 centimeters high, cylindrical, and pointed at the top. No one had touched them, but according to eyewitnesses, the color of the thing was like asphalt, and the skin resembled dry bark - it was supposed to be very hard.

Linga has five senses, but the position and number of these senses are uncertain. It is normal for an individual to have seven eyes and three ears.

No one knows if this near-stone statue is dead or alive – if it is alive, is it a plant or an animal? Teenagers are at an age when they are not afraid of heaven and earth, and Jason and Brady are among the best.

It was a Saturday morning, and the mountain town had always been foggy and rainy. Jason and his wife put on their Sherlock Holmes-style capes and trench coats early in the morning, but the cane and pipe were not easy to exchange.

"I think we should dress like African explorers—" Freddy stepped on the dirt with one shallow foot.

"Of course not, Watson." Jason said that he was taller than Freddy and had an exceptionally "cold" hooked nose, and both agreed that he was better suited for the role of Sherlock.

"Cultist rituals, I guess." Jason continued, "I guess it's a weird thing Chinese made up again - to catch all the foreigners in this school...... However, it is destined to be destroyed by us. ”

Following a map of the school that they had worked together, the two of them struggled to find the place where one of the ringas was sitting, a place between the school's meadow and the grove.

"Look! Linga is there! Brady hurriedly rolled up the map in his hand and said that Jason had already spotted a black ringa from a pile of rotting leaves.

"Although we have found the target, we have to observe whether there are any cultist activities...... "Jason finally knows that the strength of the two children is limited, and the final solution to the problem will be the adults with yellow hairs on their chests.

"If someone had found out about us...... Brady was right, it was indeed only the two of them who were active at this time.

After squatting for more than ten minutes, the two finally couldn't suppress their curiosity and walked in front of Nalinga.

Magnifying glasses, utility knives, and a few other odd and bits of tools, Jason and the others were well prepared for the expedition. As if walking past a sleeping dog, the two of them cautiously approached it, lest it swoop and jump up and attack.

However, nothing happened, and the "Linga" seemed to be a real stone statue.

Jason put on white gloves and said to Brady: "Set the order, I'll check first, you are far away - in case of any emergency, you can escape and find the teacher." Brady felt justified.

Jason put on his little white gloves and took a good look at Lin Jia: this thing had very simple facial features, a big nose and big ears, very similar to the kind of Southeast Asian stone statues in the pictorial magazines his father showed him. When he touched it, there was a noticeable roughness, but he couldn't measure the hardness of the thing. The next step, of course, was to extract some debris samples with sharps, a step Jason found a bit difficult.

He squatted there, braving the rain, and scratched carefully for a long time, until he finally got a sample that was not much bigger than the mud on his fingernails. When I go back, I can do the analysis in the school lab, and of course I have to brag to the girls in my class before that.

However, he didn't notice that danger was slowly winding towards the two of them.

Jason put the crumbs into the glass vial, straightened his pants, and motioned for Brady to come and touch the thing as well. Just as they were about to meet and give high-fives, a snake appeared.

Brady saw something resembling a purple brick jump out, and in an instant, it was about to crash into Jason. Instinctively, he grabbed Jason's arm to pull him aside—the bricks were clearly aggressive.

I heard the "rustle" sound, which was the sound of a snake spitting out its core.

Jason didn't have time to get angry at Brady and spotted the snake—it was standing firmly in front of them after a jump. Jason had never seen such a spindle-like snake bulging out of the middle of its body, and it was several times larger than the common grass snake in the area.

The two of them stepped back steadily towards the serpent, because if they ran quickly, they would provoke it to pursue. But this snake is going to hurt the two teenagers horizontally and vertically, and it coils its spring-like tail and "jumps" on top of the two teenagers at once!

It really scared the hell out of them, and Jason waved his hands wildly.

Just as they were about to be bitten and poisoned, the snake suddenly screamed and fell to the ground. Brady barely held Jason and said, "Something shot this snake......"

Jason pressed his beating heart and went to see the snake's corpse. There was something like a black stick of wood stuck in its back. I had the courage to pull it out, and found that this thing was more like a steel needle, and it was not light to weigh.

"It's like- it shot out of the mouth of 'Linga'." Jason listened to Brady.

It's absurd, but Brady is right. Linga's big mouth, which had always been closed, was actually opened, and Jason could see the mouth inside his lips - it definitely did not belong to humans, or even any mammals, but layered on top of each other, like a monster in hell.

In any case, Linga actually saved them.

"What's next, Sherlock?" Brady said with a smile, mocking in his tone.

Jason's helplessness just now made him lose face, and he could only spit on the ground: "The things that need to be collected have been collected, so of course I will go back and study them." It seems that things are a little more complicated than we think. "Brady is a good friend of his, and of course he won't be ridiculed further, and the two of them will go back to bragging.

Their figures became smaller and smaller in the field of vision of the "Linga", and finally disappeared into the rain curtain.

In the distance, in a single dormitory of the school, someone is monitoring everything they see with the eyes of "Linga".

"Nonsense." The man looked out the window into the void, and when he saw that Jason and the others had left safely, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, "Now I have to work hard to retrieve that poisonous needle...... Hey, I'm too lazy to move, let's wait for Monday. As he spoke, he slumped on the bed.

The interior is dark and quiet, and the leeches love the atmosphere.
