Chapter 5: Ollivander's Wand Shop
Unlike in the movie, it's hard to believe that the headquarters of the biggest "arms dealer" in the wizarding world is located in the most remote part of Diagon Alley, and it's a small, run-down shop. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć ļ½ļ½ļ½ļ½
The gold sign on the door has been peeled off, and it reads: Ollivanders: A well-made wand since 382 BC. In the dusty window, a wand sits alone on a faded purple cushion.
At this moment, Bruce suddenly snorted. He discovers that there is a major "mistake" in his plan!
"Holy! It's over, it's over! What if Tom and I went in and found out that my sister wasn't there at all? Bruce thought anxiously.
But what Bruce didn't expect was that Tom actually stood there motionless, which made Bruce puzzled, and he asked 'carefully', "Mr. Tom, what's wrong with you?" ā
"Huh!" Tom looked at the wand shop and said with some hesitation, "Bruce, just go in by yourself!" You have to be careful, you know? The old guy inside is a weird guy and I really don't want to see him! ā
"Haha! O Merlin! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Mr. Ollivanders, your stinky temper is simply amazing! Bruce thought excitedly.
He never dreamed that in the end, it would be Ollivanders' eccentric personality that would help him. Come to think of it, in the original books, both Harry and Hagrid seemed to be a little intimidated by the great wandmaker.
Bruce smiled and said, "Thank you for your advice, Mr. Tom!" I think I can go in on my own, and if my sister hasn't come yet, I can wait for them here. Also, thank you very much for your help! ā
Tom smiled and said, "You're welcome, Bruce! I hope you'll be able to sit down for a while when you get back to the Leaky Cauldron, and I'll treat you to the best Butterbeer! ā
Tom left, and Bruce waited until he was far away before pushing the door open and walking in.
As soon as I walked into the store, I heard a jingling bell from somewhere behind the store. The shop is small, with no decorations other than a bench and a large counter. Thousands of narrow cartons reach almost to the ceiling and are still stretching in.
Bruce remembers how depressed Harry was when he first arrived, and now he feels the same way, the low, cluttered environment is very uncomfortable!
The Ollivander wasn't here, and Bruce said to himself, "That old monster is probably making wands!" I really don't understand, I know how to do magic, why don't I make the store clean......"
"Good afternoon!"
"I'm a muddy horse!"
Bruce was so frightened by this sudden sentence that a standard "national curse" shouted.
He turned around to find an old man in dirty clothes and messy hair, lying on a ladder and looking at him with a killer gaze.
"Nima! I now know why those people don't want to be here! Bruce thought to himself.
Ollivander looked at the little guy in front of him and asked, "Who are you looking for?" ā
Obviously, this is not the time to buy a wand at this age!
Bruce tried to keep his innocent smile and said, "It's okay, I came here by accident!" ā
"Kid! You can't come here by accident, and you can't get here without magic! Olifad spoke.
Bruce immediately said, "Magic, is this what you are talking about?" ā
As he spoke, Bruce stretched out his hand and said, "Yuga Dim Leviosa!" ā
I saw a quill on the table rise into the air under Bruce's control!
The levitation spell only lasted for a moment, as it was too mana-intensive.
But even so, it surprised Ollivander!
"O Merlin! What I saw! A child is casting a spell without a wand, how do you do it, child? Ollivander asked in surprise.
Bruce was pleased with his expression and said, "You can do it with a single wave, but it takes a lot of effort to do it." Tom from the Leaky Cauldron said it would be better with a wand, so he brought me here! ā
"Tom!" Ollivander suddenly realized: "It turns out that he brought you here, and that's right." Child, what's your name? ā
"Bruce Stirling!" Bruce replied.
Ollivander probably had the best memory in the world, and anyone who bought a wand in his shop remembered exactly what they looked like. This time Bruce is no exception!
"Oh! It's Stirling's kids! With a wistful expression, Ollivander said, "The scene where your parents bought wands from me is like yesterday!" Son, you look a lot like your father. Purple shirtwood, Thestrals' hair, eleven inches long, a powerful wand. And your mother is different, willow, the dragon's heart key, flexible, a good wand for magic! ā
Bruce looked at Ollivander a little speechlessly, and said to himself: "Who wants to know this, I haven't even seen them look like before!" ā
However, he would not say that, and Bruce said "sadly": "Mr. Ollivander, I don't actually remember what they looked like!" ā
The expression was as pitiful as it could be, and Ollivander also knew that the Stirlings had died in battle against the mysterious man, so he hurriedly changed the subject and asked, "I'm sorry, kid!" Are you staying with a relative now? ā
"No!" Bruce replied, "I live in an orphanage, I've lived there for as long as I can remember, and all I know about my parents is the notes they left behind. I saw that spell in my mother's diary. Actually, I don't like orphanages! Where people will always treat me like a monster, because I'm different from them! ā
"It's not like that!" Ollivander immediately comforted: "Child, you are a wizard! Those ignorant Muggles will not understand your power, trust me! You will one day become a great wizard, just like your parents! ā
Bruce leaked an "impatient" expression and asked, "Mr. Ollivander, can you tell me about my parents?" What do they look like? Why did they abandon me? ā
Ollivander descended the stairs to Bruce and said, "Your father is a very strong and cheerful man, and he loves to smile and always have a smile on his face, just like when you first entered the door!" Your mother is a beautiful girl, she is a gentle person! They love you, and they won't abandon you! ā
"What?" Bruce was stunned for a moment and hurriedly asked, "Sir, please tell me, where are my parents now?" ā
Ollivander showed hesitation, but finally said, "Kid, they've been killed!" Be a powerful dark wizard! ā
Bruce froze, then showed an "angry" expression and asked, "Who is he?" ā
"Sorry! I can't name him because it's cursed, but we all call him the Mystery! Ollivander said, and Bruce saw him tremble as he said the word mystery man again.
