Chapter 500: Dragon's Head Cave

However, Liu Zhu's "notice" did not stop the tomb robbers. From archaeological discoveries, this tomb has been robbed by ancient tomb robbers more than once. According to the coins remaining at the scene, it is speculated that the earliest tomb robbery should have occurred during the usurpation of Wang Mang, which was only more than 100 years after Liu Zhu's burial.

Because the stone is very large and heavy, the ancient tomb robbers in Xuzhou came up with a strange trick to dig a hole in the front end of the stone, that is, the "cow's nose limit" that rural people often say, and then tie the rope and drag it out piece by piece with the ox. Then he went through the tomb and stole a large number of burial treasures. Therefore, although there are as many as 15 burial chambers in the tomb of Liu Zhu and his wife, with a total area of more than 700 square meters, which can be called an underground palace, the archaeologists did not excavate much burial goods from it, only the three ear chambers at the mouth of the south tomb road are well preserved, and this is because there is a column of plug stones in front of it, which is inconvenient to steal.

The above inscriptions that I hope the tomb robbers will not patronize are crepe and more subtle. There is one category that is not polite, and uses cursed language to directly warn the tomb robbers. The world's most famous "anti-tomb robbery spell" should be a sentence in the tomb (pyramid) of Tutankhamun, the pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of ancient Egypt -

Whoever disturbed Pharaoh's peace would have died on him

In China, there is also such a daunting "anti-tomb robbery spell" carved stone. Jinxiang County, Shandong Province has unearthed two such Han Dynasty carved stones, the professional term is called "thief carved stone", now in the Jining City Museum.

The first stone was unearthed in 1980 and found in the village of Yushan in the county. It is a sill stone located in front of a tomb on a hillside. It is a pity that the tomb was completely destroyed by the local migrant workers who started the mountain quarrying. According to the migrant workers, copper coins and clay pots were unearthed in this tomb, but the information of the tomb owner cannot be verified. After the text of the carved stone has been proofread, there should be, 138 words, and the first few lines are like this:

Those who dare to send me mounds will never be ordered to be behind the household, and those who are ill and unknown will never be allowed to be reprimanded after the household, and no one will be betrayed, and no one will be followed by the tanuki......

In today's words, it probably means: Whoever dares to rob my tomb, I will tell him to cut off his children and grandchildren, and even if he unintentionally destroys my tomb, he will be punished, and I hope that he will not betray me, and do not tell anyone about it......

After the stone was unearthed at this moment, a local villager surnamed Guo copied the inscription and negotiated a good price with the found masonry to buy it, but later he destroyed the carved stone. The existing rubble, which is 41 cm long, 35 cm wide and 23.5 cm thick, was found in a pile of stones, and all the fragments have not been found to this day.

In March 1990, ten years after the discovery of the first thief carved stone, the local cultural relics department collected another thief carved stone. Unfortunately, this carved stone was also destroyed, and the masonry thought it was too heavy and knocked off most of the back of the stone during the handling. After being carried home, the masonry did not regard it as a precious cultural relic, and casually placed it together with the stones in the corner of the courtyard until it was discovered by the cultural relics department. The remaining handwriting on the carved stone, a total of 8 lines:

Make the dwelling of crime and natural benefit, desire filial piety, chastity and honesty, lead the public to be good, the body of heaven and profit, and pay tribute to Mao's parents, and be careful not to destroy the distinction of heaven and profit

This inscription admonishes the world not to sin, but to do more good. The tone of his expression is gentler than that of the first carved stone, but the core meaning of the expression is that he hopes that the tomb robbers will not rob his tomb.

In fact, it is obviously unrealistic to want to use humanistic methods and psychological pressure to make tomb robbers give up tomb robbing. If the ancient tomb robbers still talk about conscience. In modern times, few people think about psychological uneasiness.

In the just-published "History of Tomb Robbery in the Republic of China", many strange tomb robberies that occurred during the Republic of China are described. During the Republic of China, there were many tomb robbery centers in the country, among which the tomb robbery in Luoyang was the most crazy, and now the tomb robbers often used the tomb robbery weapon "Luoyang shovel", which was named after the Luoyang tomb robbers who were the best at using.

Luoyang is one of the famous ancient capitals of China, and the mountain in the north of the city is a treasure of feng shui in the eyes of the ancients. Because there are many tombs, there are endless tomb robbers for generations. During the period of the Republic of China, there were many idle gangsters in the local area, eating, drinking, prostituting, gambling, and smoking, and their source of income was all from tomb robbing.

Luoyang tomb robbers are pervasive and invincible. How crazy was the tomb robbery in Luoyang back then? There is a phenomenon that can show that people in ordinary places only think of going to the grave to sweep the grave when it is a time like the Qingming Festival. In Luoyang at that time, the family members of the tomb owners who lived in the city had to go to the grave from time to time to see if the ancestral tomb had been stolen.

Such a tomb robbery caused a headache for the family of the tomb owner, and finally some families came up with a way to set up a monument in front of the tomb to remind the tomb robbers not to dig again. Between Tangsimen Village and Beiyao Village, Baimasi Town, East Baimasi Town, Luoyang Old Town, there is a rich family whose ancestral grave was stolen particularly miserably, repaired here, and dug there. In desperation, the descendants of the Shi family erected a stone tablet on the cemetery, which was engraved: "This grave has been dug nine times, please do not patronize it again."

Such a tombstone cannot but be said to be the most alternative piece in the history of Chinese tombs. But such a "friendly reminder" did not work at all, and after that, the ancestral tomb of the Shi family was still patronized by tomb robbers.

"What now. Did you hear the voice? An Xiangfei asked with a pale face.

Mu Xiu and I nodded, and Mu Xiu's expression was not very natural at this time, but after seeing him take a deep breath: "Let's go." Leave him alone, remember not to be distracted, otherwise it will be easy to get on the body. ”

The three of us began to move forward slowly, and soon walked to the door of the stone chamber, and looked inside, as if to find that this stone chamber was not very big or the end of the entire tomb, and when we walked into the stone chamber, we saw a sarcophagus on a high platform in the stone chamber, which was carved with dragons and phoenixes, and behind the sarcophagus, a huge dragon head stretched out of the wall. And if you look closely, this faucet is not artificially chiseled, but more like it is made naturally.

"Wow, this can't be the Dragon's Cave." I was completely stunned, first of all, I didn't expect that the tomb of Genghis Khan would be so shabby, but then again, with a dragon's head cave, it is still shabby, it is simply a blessing that only gods have.

"Yes, this is the dragon's head. It's a millennium. Makushu was also stunned.

"It's so cold in here." An Xiangfei said suddenly, by An Xiangfei said this, I and Mu Xiu CIA shook our heads, only to find that the temperature here was much colder than when we came in just now, and then look at the surrounding walls I don't know when hoarfrost actually appeared, and it squeaked, and the temperature continued to drop.

"What's going on," I asked, puzzled, looking at the growing amount of ice ballast on the walls.
