4. Traps

The night was quiet, and the meow of the little milk cat was particularly abrupt.

Tang Tang waited quietly for a breath, until he felt that the other people in the room were silent, and then quietly got up and walked out of the door.

As soon as the little milk cat saw her, she pounced with joy, her fluffy tail sweeping over her trouser legs. "Come with me, we're going to be late!"

Tang Tang lowered his body and whispered to it, "I can't go." ā€

"Huh?" The little milk cat tilted her head in confusion and looked at her, her big eyes shining slightly in the darkness, full of puzzlement. "Why not?"

Tang Tang glanced back at the dark room and explained briefly: "If they find out that I go out, it will make a mess." ā€

When the little milk cat heard this, her eyes suddenly lit up, and she raised her head confidently and said, "This is simple, look at me." ā€

With a "whoosh", it deftly scurried up the wall, and the soft flesh pad fell silently on the earthen wall. Standing on the wall, the little milk cat looked back and waved its front paws, and beckoned to Tang Tang, "Wait for me for a minute." As soon as he finished speaking, he jumped off the wall and disappeared.

Tang Tang stood under the wall and waited quietly for a moment, and sure enough, the little milk cat came back soon after. In the dim moonlight, Tang Tang could only vaguely see a dark thing in its mouth, and when he jumped off the wall, he slipped carelessly, rolled on the ground before turning over and standing up.

She was taken aback by this dangerous action, and couldn't help but hurriedly ask, "Are you okay?" ā€

The little milk cat put down what it was holding in its mouth, "Ahh You see - I've got you covered! ā€

Tang Tang looked at its waving paws, and saw that the black shadow on the ground was a gray-haired vole, lying on the ground in a daze, so frightened that his soul was about to fly.

Seeing that the vole's limbs were stiff and not moving, the little milk cat couldn't help but stretch out its paws and pull it, and then pull it. The stiff vole couldn't help but scream with a sudden "squeak", and its two front paws grabbed the edge of the little cat's meat paws, and tore their throats to call for help. "Auntie, hey, feed my little aunt, please spare me! My seventh uncle and grandfather's nest have all told you, so you can raise your noble hand and let me go! ā€

The vole hugged the paws of the little milk cat and cried bitterly, but this rare sight made Tang Tang very happy.

The little milk cat noticed the smile on her face, couldn't help shaking her hair, made a serious appearance, and said, "This is my little brother - Ah Fei." ā€

It raised its little head and stared at Ah Fei sternly, "I came to you today, because I have a task to give you." ā€

"What?" The vole moved its ears in alarm.

The little milk cat said: "Take care of the people in this house, if they wake up, immediately run to your seventh uncle's grandfather's house to inform us." ā€

As soon as he heard that the little milk cat was not here to eat himself, the vole immediately grinned and nodded in agreement.

"Go!" "If something goes wrong," urged the kitten, "and with a shuffling of its paws," the vole screamed, fell from its paws, fell to the ground, rolled over, and staggered into the house. "I—I promise nothing will go wrong."

After the arrangements were made, the little milk cat trotted all the way gently and briskly and took Tang Tang to the woods.

In the middle of the night, most of the animals were asleep, except for a few night owl sub-types that remained awake and let out a hoarse cry from time to time.

Tang Tang carefully paid attention to the steps under his feet, looked at the dim environment around him, and found that the road did not go too far into the woods, but walked along the ridge to a secluded place overgrown with weeds. The shredded moonlight shone through the leaves, and the shadows were not very clear, but she still saw a quiet figure standing quietly in the clearing surrounded by several large trees.

Exactly the old dog.

"Shh As soon as they saw Tang Tang, the old dog quietly came up and told them to hold their breath, "Come here." ā€

After following the old dog through the woods, he came to a ridge, which was the edge of the forest field, and the land was barren and narrow, with only a few corn plants planted in a sparse place.

The old dog and the little milk cat tacitly touched a small hole in the ridge of the ground, and dug down a section with their paws, and the soft soil was immediately piled aside. After digging more than two feet deep, a black shadow burst out of the hole and ran out.

"Catch it!" The old dog let out a low roar, and the little milk cat immediately pressed down on the fat vole. It greeted with a smile: "Seventh uncle and grandfather, we are here to visit the door!" ā€

"Hey, you're going to kill me!" The fat vole squeaked and struggled a few times under the little cat's paws.

Tang Tang and the old dog took the opportunity to dig the mouse hole to the end, and directly took out a large handful of corn kernels, which were two catties small. The little milk cat suddenly meowed excitedly, "Developed!" We don't run out of food for a week! ā€

Hearing that it was so happy, the fat vole cried even more mournfully, and said in a screaming voice: "Hey, grandparents, I am old and young, there is a dominatrix squatting at home, and there is a nephew cub outside who can only eat and not move, the world is really difficult!" Grandparents, let me go! ā€

If you don't look at its fat size, I'm afraid that those present will really be soft-hearted by this tearful remark. The little milk cat grinded its paws energetically, and her eyes pierced directly: "Look at your flesh, who believes it?" ā€

The fat vole was stunned and inhaled sharply to shrink his stomach, but he couldn't.

And after a short while, the old dog had quickly divided the corn kernels into three piles, and said in a low voice: "Take your share and go." ā€

Tang Tang found leaves and straw and helped them wrap the corn kernels. The little milk cat happily picked up one of its packets in its mouth, and as soon as it released its paws, the fat vole fled into the darkness of the night. "I'll play with you next time, Uncle Seven, I must save more food!"

Its meow was full of joy, apparently with the idea of having one and having two, and was preparing to visit the fat vole from time to time in the future, and by the way, to beat the tooth sacrifice.

Tang Tang and his entourage walked back to the village along the path in the forest, and even their steps were a little brisk. The night, which previously felt gloomy and terrifying, has become cute.

"Meow, I'm so happy, I'm so happy today!" The little milk cat jumped all the way, trotted to the front, put down the package to rest, sang a little song to encourage them to hurry up, and then shook its head, shook the tip of its tail, and crackled the leaves on the ground with its feet.

Just when their hearts were full of joy-

"Ahhhh

The little milk cat running in front of him suddenly fell into the air, and when he saw that he was about to fall into the camouflaged pit, he screamed and shouted.

The old dog was startled, swooped out at once, jumped up like a sharp knife and jumped directly into the air, opened its big mouth and bit the back of the little cat's neck, and jumped over the deep dirt pit.

Seeing them land safely, Tang Tang breathed a sigh of relief. "How's it going, it's not hurt, is it?"

As soon as the old dog stepped on the woodland, he jumped up in anger. "You bear child, can you pay attention to the road? If you fall into the dirt pit, the beast trap inside can directly kill you! ā€

He yelled angrily at the little milk kitten and carried it to the edge of the pit to look inside. At the bottom of the pit was a bright and sharp beast trap, which was particularly hideous in the moonlight, so that it couldn't help but tremble a few times.

The little milk cat lay on the edge of the pit as if it was stupid, and it took a while before it woke up like a dream, and exclaimed, "My food! ā€

I saw a bag of corn kernels tightly sandwiched in the middle by the beast's clamp, the crisp leaves were torn apart, and the bright yellow corn kernels were sprinkled all over the ground. This was apparently dropped by the kitten just now when it howled above the dirt pit.

"What about my food?" The little milk cat couldn't believe what was happening in front of her, and couldn't help but stretch out her paws and fished it out, only to catch a little bit of air in mid-air in vain.

"Hey! You are crazy?! The old dog slapped its head with a "snap", and immediately hit its body crookedly. "I forgot what I just said, didn't I? Not afraid of falling in? ā€

Seeing that the old dog was about to teach the little milk cat a lesson, Tang Tang couldn't help but hurriedly reassure: "Don't worry, I'll think of a way." ā€

She broke off a branch, reached to the bottom of the pit, and picked up the beast little by little. Fortunately, this trap was relatively rough, and there were no other tools except for a beast clamp at the bottom, so Tang Tang went directly to the bottom of the half-waist-high pit and dusted up the corn kernels with clean leaves.

But it still took a lot of work.

The narrow dirt pit made it almost impossible for people to bend down, so they could only lean over and poke their hands down, and after a few minutes, Tang Tang was sweating profusely. By the time she crawled out of the dirt pit with corn kernels in her hand, her entire forehead was covered with sweat.

"Alright." She laughed.

The little milk cat was about to jump and pounce on her, but she didn't expect a cold voice to suddenly come out from behind the tree.

"What are you doing?"

"Anyone?!" In an instant, the little milk cat twisted its feet violently and fled into the low bushes. And the alert old dog disappeared with his bag of food in his mouth.

Tang Tang took a deep breath and stood quietly in the dark, not daring to move.

It wasn't that she didn't want to run away, but she sensitively saw a bright arrow facing her in the dim moonlight. Looking at the arrow, the longbow is ready to attack, and danger is imminent.

This made her decide to stay put, after a momentary weighing.

The man couldn't help but be slightly surprised when he saw her hands held high, and walked out step by step with a calm footstep, and a calm side face was revealed little by little in the dark moonlight.

However,

"Smack!" An object slammed down on the tree, right in the man's face, obscuring his vision.

The little milk cat jumped down from the tree quickly and roared, "Tang Tang, run!" ā€
