CHAPTER XVIII
*
"Looks like you're awake."
ββ¦β¦β
Isbelli pursed her lips and looked at the man in front of her with a cold expression.
"Phil Coulson." He raised his hand, "This self-introduction should be redundant, we've seen it many times." β
ββ¦β¦β
Isbelli ignored him, looked around, and realized that she might have returned to a secret place within S.H.I.E.L.D. or something. Last time, they implanted a lethal electronic chip in her heart, so this time, what tricks did they want to use against her?
"Bruce Banner, why did you know him, and why are you still with him, is there any ulterior motive?" Curson sat in the high chair and asked her in a light tone, "Are you deliberately approaching him, because of his special physique and identity." β
ββ¦β¦β
Isbelle didn't look at Curson, she sat up with her hands propped up on the bed, and as she did so, a crisp bell sounded from the circular metal rings on the wrists of both of her hands, not just on her hands, but on the ankles of both of her feet.
Corson also heard the bell ringing, which would sound with every movement she made, which made her frown immediately, and when he saw this, he smiled and explained, "Sorry, this is a new weapon that we just developed in-house, it seems that the designer forgot to turn off the sound." I need to remind you that you can't remove these metal rings unless you cut off your hands and feet, and they do the same thing as electronic chips. β
Hearing this, Isbelle's cold face became even more ugly, and she turned her head to look at Corson, her lips twitching, as if she wanted to say something and held back. After a while, she withdrew her gaze and jumped to the ground, walking barefoot towards the door of the room, and as she moved, the bell rang non-stop in the small room.
Corson stared at her, watching her every move, trying to see something from it, but unfortunately he stared at her for a long time and did not get any useful information other than to see that she wanted to go out.
"OK, I'll take you to the designer, the bell is too noisy."
β¦β¦
The two of them left the room, walked through a long dark and quiet corridor, and took the elevator to a very bright place.
Esbelli looked out close to the transparent railing and found herself on the fourth floor, with three floors below, each with a number of rooms, where men and women in uniform were working separately. Directly below was a large hall, in the middle of which was a black transport plane, and several men with weapons stood around an iron box, as if on guard, but their weapons were all aimed at the airtight iron box, which looked more like defense.
"Banner?"
Isbelli was stunned for a moment, but finally spoke.
"Yes, Dr. Banner is inside." Corson followed, standing beside her and looking down together, "He, like you, is a great danger to Earth......"
"So you have to be charged and imprisoned, right?" Isbelli said coldly.
"Did I say I'm going to lock you up? How I don't remember. Corson raised an eyebrow and walked to the side.
ββ¦β¦β
Isbelle stared at his back, not quite understanding what he meant, but she chased after him.
"Do you remember Tony Stark?" Caught off guard, Corson uncovers the scar on Isbelli's heart and brings up the man who made her sad and disappointed.
"......" she chose to be silent.
Corson opened a door and said as he walked inside, "Tony Stark contacted me and asked me to tell me your whereabouts, but we didn't know your location at the time, so we didn't reply to him. β
"Why is he looking for me?"
Didn't he say that he was like a pet, he was so rich, he lost her as a pet, and he could just buy it again.
"Maybe it's because you've ruined his home, bullied his butler Jarvis, or cheated on him for so long, hurt his pride, and wanted to confront you face to face, spank you and give you a leg up to relieve his anger. Okay, actually, I was joking, and I don't know why Tony Stark is looking for you, but you can ask him yourself. β
"What do you mean?"
Isbelle stopped abruptly.
Corson also stopped, because the person he was looking for was ahead, a childish teenager.
"Fitz, I've brought someone, can you turn off the bell?"
"Oh, right now." The boy agreed, threw off his gloves and trotted over, and said to Isbelle, "Hey, cell monster, give me your hand." β
"Her name is Isbelle, you can call her Bailey." Corson glanced at the boy, a little speechless about his salutation.
The young man took the words weakly, "Miss Romanov didn't tell me her name......"
ββ¦β¦β
β¦β¦
After some tossing, the bell was gone.
Corson took Isbelli to the transport plane.
"Mr. Stark thinks we captured you, and he doesn't believe it no matter how we explain it, and then starts attacking our internal database endlessly."
"What does 084 mean? Am I numbered as a S.H.I.E.L.D. inmate? Isbelle looked at the metal ring on her wrist with the words "0-8-4" engraved on it.
Corson looked at her, didn't answer, and continued what he had to say, "Every day there are thousands of people trying to steal information and intelligence from our counts, and Mr. Stark's entanglement will hinder our operations, and we don't want to clash with him for the time being. Now that you are monitored by the metal ring, we thought we could put you with Mr. Stark for a while, and he would be very interested in you, and might be able to figure out for us which planet you came from and what purpose you were trying to invade Earth. β
"I didn't do anything."
Isbelle thought it was funny, she didn't know her identity, how could others figure it out, should she cut open her heart and take out the mysterious stone for testing?
"I don't want to go to him."
She doesn't want to be a pet.
"Like you, I want to find out where I came from, and I need you to help me find someone."
"Who?" There was some interest in Cowson's eyes.
"Peggy Carter."
As soon as he heard the name, Coulson's face changed, and then he asked, "Are you talking about Captain America's girlfriend, Peggy Carter?" β
"I don't remember Steve having a girlfriend."
"Why do you call the captain by his first name?"
βExcusemeοΌβ Isbelli looked at Curson, who looked slightly dissatisfied, in confusion, and the latter suddenly turned his back, "No, the order given to me from above is to send you to Tony Stark, as for other things, what you want to do depends on your ability." β
