Chapter 204: Sanmao's Letter

It has been many days since I completed the resignation procedures with the harvest editorial department. [Ye * Zi] [Yo * Yo booK crazy look

Govin still remembers leaving the newsroom with his belongings. Li Yu's reluctance, Gao Lin's embarrassment, and the other editors' expressions were either gloating or dumbfounded.........,... As soon as he thought of this portrait of all beings, Govin felt extraordinarily wonderful.

At the same time, on the day that Govin left the editorial department, another person joined the harvest editorial department, and this person was Ba Jin's daughter Li Xiaolin.

Many years later, many old readers of the harvest have lamented what happened on this day, and this day is a dark day for the harvest and the editorial department.

When the harvest led by Li Xiaolin, the third-generation head of the harvest, fell into mediocrity, Govine, who left on the same day, had already grown into a towering giant tree, and its magazines and newspapers were not only popular in China, but also spread all over the world.

It would be nice if Govin had remained in the harvest newsroom

Very 0 harvest of old readers are not without jealousy.

During these days, Govin lived a comfortable and fulfilling life.

Although he has left the harvest editorial department, this does not mean that Govin has nothing to do with these old people, Ba Jin's home is where he often goes, he still finds Li Yu to eat and chat from time to time, and even when Govin writes a new manuscript, the first magazine he thinks of is still harvest.

It's just that now Govyn has no job and is light, he can arrange his time at will, if he wants to get up late, he can sleep directly until three o'clock in the morning, and if he wants to go to bed early, he can sleep directly from afternoon to nightfall.

And with time, the progress of the soldiers' assault became faster and faster, and by the end of April, the draft had been completed. At the end of April, a topic that the whole of China was talking about, and one of the most sensational things in the whole of China, had nothing to do with culture, had nothing to do with the economy, only with politics. (Read the novel to Ye Zi Yu ~ Yo On April 26, a news was broadcast on the TV news that at the invitation of the Chinese government, US President Ronald Reagan and his wife came to China for a state visit.)

This is the first sitting president of China and the United States to visit China since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1979. When Reagan and his entourage arrived in Beijing, they were warmly welcomed before they got off the plane, and they were cordially received by Chairman ** and other central leaders. When Reagan and his entourage arrived at the square outside the east gate of the Great Hall of the People in a red flag car, countless children and teenagers held bouquets of flowers and the national flags of the two countries to warmly welcome them.

On July 7, the leaders of China and the United States held candid, friendly, and constructive talks on international issues and bilateral relations. The Chinese leader reaffirmed that maintaining world peace is the main goal of the Chinese Government's foreign policy, pointing out that the main obstacle to Sino-US relations remains the Taiwan issue, and that the United States should reduce and stop arms sales to Taiwan. Reagan said that the US Government will abide by the three communiques issued by China and the United States and will not interfere in China's internal affairs. ** The chairman, General Secretary Hu Yaobang, and Deng Xiaoping met with Reagan respectively. Deng Xiaoping hoped that the United States would not do anything that would hinder the reunification of the mainland and Taiwan, and that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait could achieve peaceful reunification through negotiations.

In the next few days, Reagan climbed the Great Wall and disembarked the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, and all of this qiē was repeatedly broadcast on daily news broadcasts, and many Chinese affectionately called him President Reagan, and even illiterate rural women knew that there was an American president named Reagan.

And just when all the people in the country were happily talking about these big-nosed foreigners from the United States, Govin stopped his schedule of sorting out the draft of the soldier's assault, and all his thoughts were condensed into a letter.

The letter came from the United States, and the owner of the letter, Govyn, did not know him, which was a very unexpected letter to Govyn.

Now the letter that came to Govern's side after crossing the ocean was placed in front of Govin, and the sender's name on it was written "Sanmao." "Two redundant words.

Sanmao?

Sanmao

Who is Sanmao?

If you ask Chinese readers in this era, they will answer without thinking: "Isn't that the protagonist of Sanmao's Wanderings?" I know I saw ......,... as a child." (Read the novel to the leaf, Yu ~ Yu YZBOOK.)

Or perhaps a very small number of readers who have read the 7th issue of Wenyuan in 1983 will say with an uncertain tone: "Sanmao? It seems that there is an author named Sanmao, and it seems that Liu Deng wrote in Wenyuan magazine last year, and he didn't know the west wind...,............"

Or some popular young people wearing bell bottoms, carrying a tape recorder on their shoulders, and humming Teresa Teng in their mouths will be cleared after muttering a few times, as if they have to tell you: "Isn't Sanmao the lyricist of the olive tree!" This song is very good, wow! I'll sing.........,... Don't ask me where I'm from, my hometown is far away.................."

So who is Sanmao?

Sanmao, formerly known as Chen Zhuping, has now been renamed Chen Ping Han nationality, a native of Danshan, Xijiang, was born on March 26, 1943 in Chongqing. He studied at the Department of Philosophy of Chinese Culture University. He studied in Europe, settled in the Canary Island in the Spanish Desert, got married, and wrote a series of popular works based on local life. After returning to Taiwan in 1981, he taught at the Culture University before resigning in early 1984 to focus on writing and speaking.

It's not the Sanmao in Sanmao's wanderings, it's the Sanmao of the West Wind who doesn't know each other, and it's the Sanmao of the olive tree.

Due to the closure of Chinese mainland and Taiwan, the spread of information on both sides of the strait is extremely unsmooth, although some of Sanmao's works have begun to be reported one after another, but at this time in Chinese mainland there is not a single book work of Sanmao published, so it is a very common thing for readers in Chinese mainland not to know Sanmao. However, although her literary works had not yet been published in the mainland at this time, the olive trees written by her had already spread to the streets and alleys of the mainland through guò radio waves.

Such a well-known writer in Taiwan and in the global Chinese world is quietly unknown in China now, and when no one knows him, Ge Jia is very clear.

In his previous life, when he was young, he had a crazy liking for this writer, Allure, Gentle Night, Crying Camel, How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams, The Rainy Season Will Not Come Again, The Story of Withdrawing Hara, Sending You a Horse, Back, My Baby, Troubled Studies, Thousands of Rivers, Thousands of Mountains, Scarecrow's Notes, Caprice, Talking, My Happy Paradise, The Lilies of the Plateau, Dear Sanmao, My Soul Riding on the Back of Paper............

This is a very unique and profound Taiwanese female writer, her prose is wide-ranging, many of which are exotic, simple and promiscuous and unique, expressing the author's love for human beings, life, freedom and nature.

Her travelogue essays, such as the story of the withdrawal of Hara and the journey of thousands of rivers and mountains, are intellectual, interesting, and artistic, and have high cultural and aesthetic value.

In later generations, her footprints were all over the world, and her works were also widely circulated in the global Chinese community, and there were also a large number of readers in the mainland, and her life works and translations were very rich, with a total of 23 kinds.

Now she actually wrote a letter to herself

Sanmao wrote a letter to himself

What a surprise and surprise this should be

Govin took a deep breath and opened the envelope

Mr. Govyn:

It was 2 a.m. on March 25, 1984.

The first time I learned your name was when I saw some news materials about you in a newspaper in the United States, which gave a very positive assessment of the sensation caused by the Chinese people in a series of articles published in Chinese mainland on the rise of great powers.

It was these news items that sparked my interest, and I asked a friend to find a magazine in the mainland, and then I came across an article about the history of Spain's rise. Because of someone (author's note: Sanmao's husband Jose is Spanish), I have studied the history of Spain in depth, but the depth and summary of your article shocked me very much, as far as I know, many scholars who study Spanish history do not have such a sharp ability to study.

After that, I collected some of your articles, such as the Generation, the Taoist Tower, the Mogao Grottoes, and the Rural Teacher......,...

Thank you for this pen, which brings many sleepless nights to readers like me. In particular, the two essays on the Taoist Pagoda and the Mogao Grottoes are really very unique

I once said in one of my works that with my hands, with my mouth, with my mouth, to express my heart. A writer's work is always an expression of his own soul, and I also write travelogue prose, but compared to your compassion and greatness, the self and joys and sorrows of my prose are really much worse.

Your prose is so direct, more obviously sincere, that it is reluctant to enter the author's home at once, it is not the life confession of "Hei's", it is yours.

And the village teacher, I found that your life is a world that no one has ever written about, in this world is lively and wonderful, but also boundless and desolate.

Mr. Govyn, you are a master writer, and after reading your article, my chest has been tightened for a long time. "I also appeared when I saw Eileen Chang, but they were still not so "aligned" until I found out about your work, and I was relieved and wanted to scream. By the way, a master. That's how a superstar is born. I didn't look away.

The reason why I take the liberty to write to you is that I would like to express my gratitude to my favorite master.

I'd love to have the opportunity to meet you and see the great contemporary writer Govin that I know and feel.

I used the most precious raw edge paper to write to you, and the stationery here is too white. This kind of paper is not sold in the United States, and it is not easy to buy in Taipei, so I have kept it for a long time. My address is on the envelope.

Your hometown has become my "dream ghost".

Sanmao respectfully (to be continued.)
