Chapter 746: Entering Hogwarts
The Pig's Head Bar was nothing like the three brooms Ryan had visited, except for a small, dark, very dirty room with a strong smell of mutton. Several bay windows were covered with a thick layer of dirt that barely let in the light, and some candles were lit on the rough wooden tables.
At first, Ryan thought it was mud, but after walking a few steps, he realized that it was a centuries-old dirt on the original stone-paved floor. It was clear that Hermione had noticed this too, so she simply tiptoed like a ballerina when she walked through the door. Soon, all the people who were going to go to reinforce Hogwarts entered the bar. More than 20 people packed the whole room, making the whole house appear smaller and darker.
"Okay, the guy standing at the end will help close the door, and the rest will follow me. Aberforth turned to the people behind him, and then led everyone around the counter and through a door, and finally climbed up a rickety wooden staircase to the living room on the second floor.
The living room was much cleaner than the lobby on the first floor, with a worn carpet on the floor and a small fireplace, above which hung a large oil painting of a blonde girl looking blankly and tenderly into the room.
"Mr. Dumbledore," Hermione whispered after seeing the portrait, "is this your sister?"
"Yes," Aberforth said stiffly, "I think you may have heard about our family from some people, but now is not the time to discuss this, you need to hurry. With that, he cleared his throat and stood up, walked around the small table, and stood in front of the portrait of Ariana. "You know what to do. β
The girl smiled slightly, and turned away, not disappearing beside the frame as the usual portrait would, but as if walking along a long tunnel painted behind her. They watched as her slender figure walked farther and farther away, finally engulfed in darkness.
"What a subtle design," Ryan whispered in admiration, only to be exchanged for a disgruntled look from Aberforth. After glancing at Ryan, who knew he was rude and kept his mouth shut, the portrait on the wall opened like a small door, revealing the entrance to a real tunnel.
"Good luck to you. Aberforth nodded vigorously, then moved out of the way of the fireplace and conjured a stool for them to put their feet on. Ryan, as the leader of the group, was the first to climb up to the mantelpiece on a stool and through the hole behind Ariana's portrait. After watching Ryan enter, the others also rushed in, and finally Aberforth was left standing quietly in the living room.
The situation in the tunnel was much better than expected, with smooth stone steps at the entrance to the tunnel and brass lamps hanging from the walls casting a warm yellow light around. After a little further on, the slate disappeared and only dirt remained on the ground. But it's not the potholes, rocks and tree roots of other tunnels, it's a very smooth and hard dirt road.
The slope of the passage was very steep, so everyone had a slight gasp after walking out of the road, and although everyone's voice was not loud, the wheezing of more than 20 people still resounded in the dim tunnel.
Finally, after turning a corner, everyone came to the end of the passage. Like the entrance, there is a short stone staircase that leads to a door, exactly like the one behind Ariana's portrait.
Gently pushing open the door, they were greeted by an empty room, seemingly the size of a small classroom. There was nothing in the room except five or six torches on the wall and a door on the opposite wall.
"Why have I never been here?" "What is this place?" "I don't remember this house in Hogwarts. "yes, it's impossible that I haven't heard of such a special room. When everyone came in, a few of the guerrillas muttered, after all, they had all graduated from this place before, so it was natural to be curious to come across a room that basically no one had ever seen.
"This is the Room of Requirement, a secret room that belongs to Hogwarts Castle. Ryan, who had used the Room of Requirement many times, quickly figured out where it was by the path and the magic reaction in the room. His door opened on the eighth floor across from the tapestry of the troll stick Silly Barnabas, but it was usually hidden. β
"I see. Several partisans nodded, and then one of them walked to the door with the intention of opening it. But suddenly, a transparent wall of air appeared in front of him, blocking his right hand reaching for the doorknob.
"Ever since someone tried to attack Howard through here at the end of last semester, I've had traps all around the room for requirement. If you go out like this, you'll set up all the traps. Ryan squeezed over and explained to the guerrilla, then drew his wand and knocked on the doorknob.
Everyone in the room felt as if a strong static electricity had swept over them, and the hairs on their bodies stood on end. At the same time, they saw a pink light enveloping the room, and a large number of complex and simple magical symbols first emerged from the walls and then dimmed.
"Now we can get out," the door slammed open as the last symbol dimmed and disappeared into the wall. So everybody saw it, everybody saw the tapestry of the troll sticking to the stupid Barnabas on the wall across the door. As soon as the door opened, Ryan turned to everyone in the room. "You'd better move quickly, because after two minutes the traps will be reactivated. Of course, if we all go out and close the gates, the trap will also be activated. β
After listening to Ryan's words, everyone quickly lined up in two groups and streamed out of the door, and the last person came out of the room and closed the door. When the two doors were closed, a large number of runes of various colors emerged from the doors.
"Next we should inform the castle inβ" Lupin said as he stood beside Ryan, but before he could finish his sentence, he heard the sound of sticks hitting the floor at the top of the staircase.
"Armor for protection. "Passed out. A red light shot from the direction of the staircase, and was blocked by a barrier. After blocking a stun spell, Ryan shouted in the direction of the stairs, "We are Hogsmeade's reinforcements through the secret passage, not Death Eaters. β
"Prove your identity. Moody's voice came from down the stairs. "Only one person can walk up to the stairs and communicate with me, otherwise I'll attack directly. β
"I'll go, you wait here. Ryan commanded, stretched out his wings, and slowly floated up a foot. After that, he flew all the way to the top of the stairs. When he looked down, he saw Moody right below, holding his wand up to him under the cover of the handrail.
"It's you, Ryan. Seeing Ryan floating out, Moody lowered his wand. "Let those reinforcements come down, I'm sure no one will be able to threaten you to bring someone in. β
Once everyone had arrived, they followed Moody down the stairs to meet the others. On the way, Ryan and Lupin began to inquire about the current situation at Hogwarts.
"Hogwarts isn't doing well right now. Moody said solemnly. "Voldemort and the Death Eaters attacked the outer shield like crazy, even if we did our best to resist the shield for another ten minutes at most. That's why those magical sculptures of yours keep stabbing the Death Eater in the ass from behind, preventing him from attacking with all his might. β
They had just walked past the corner of a staircase, and Ryan saw the statues and armor of the castle now standing in a neat line in the courtyard, and the wind howling from some spell on the playground.
