139. The missing right hand
The crime took place in an inconspicuous alley in east London, an alley that is rarely seen on a normal day unless it is someone who wants to get closer. The body was found by a hotel waitress who lived at the back of the alley, who came home from the night shift and wanted to get to her home quickly from the alley, who knew that she had just walked two steps before she saw a tragically dead body.
To tell the truth, the girl was already frightened, she screamed and ran out of the alley like crazy, screaming that she had killed someone, and it was other passers-by who heard the shouts who helped her call the police.
Now Lestrade stood at the scene of the crime, a dim, foul-smelling place.
According to the preliminary autopsy, the deceased had not been more than five hours, and it was seven o'clock in the morning in London, which means that the victim must have died between two and three o'clock, which should be the time when no one is in a quiet alley.
Lestrade was standing inside the scene wearing a protective suit, he regretted that he didn't arrest Sherlock in the first place, and he had a hunch that this case would not be so simple.
Lying on the ground, the victim's male name is Bill Moulton, 34, single, without any family, living three blocks away from here. His death was more tragic, his trachea looked like it had been cut by a knife, without any hesitation, blood gushed everywhere, and according to the direction of the blood splash, he should have been held by the murderer from behind, grabbed his hair, and then cut off his trachea.
His eyes were round, and he couldn't blink.
None of this is the point of the body, the point of this case is that Mr. Bill Moulton has lost his right hand, a whole right hand.
The last time he encountered a case of missing organs was in 2006, and those missing organs ended up being a delicious meal in the mouth of the murderer at the time, Oliver James, and if Lestrade had some discomfort in his stomach, he couldn't help but think of the ogre, and he was worried about whether this time there would be a recurrence.
But...... Eat the right hand?
"Boss, you don't look very good."
In fact, it's not just Lestrade, but Donovan's own face is not very good, the last time the ogre's case gave them a big shock, you must know that the normal use of killing and abuse to satisfy their own perversion/metamorphosis and the use of the same kind of meat to satisfy their own metamorphosis are two different meanings.
"Right hand, I really want to know what the murderer wants to do when he takes the victim's right hand, the missing organ will always be the breakthrough point of the whole case."
The murderer will not take the victim's belongings without complaint, it will be the evidence to find them, and the average murderer will not do this, unless they have some special needs. If it were any other organ, Lestrade would be able to understand, but the right hand ...... He couldn't figure out why the killer had taken it.
"Is it like the ogre from before...... Want to eat? β
Lestrade glanced at Donovan, it wasn't impossible.
"There is also the possibility that the murderer used the victim's right hand as his own trophy, and it is not uncommon in the Amway of the school, where the murderer used the head, fur, and claws of the prey as his own medal, like a city lord or a nobleman in slave times."
Rather than eating it, Lestrade thinks it's actually more reliable as a medal.
"Medal ......" Donovan covered her stomach, she imagined a picture of a human palm in a room, and there were people admiring it, admiring their trophies......
"Is there any other news about the victim, Bill Moulton? What about Anderson? β
Lestrade needed Anderson to explain what else they had found at the scene, and they needed more detailed information about the victims, from relationships to social backgrounds.
"There is no other information yet, after all, time is a bit short." Donovan looked at Lestrade's frown and immediately added, "But I've already asked them to check it, and I'll be able to get all the information to Scotland Yard." β
"It's not going to be that simple, Donovan and I have a hunch, so we're going to speed up our investigation."
Lestrade was full of sadness, in the past two years, with the development of society, people's psychology has become more and more perverted, such cases should be regarded as more and more, if you don't catch the murderer quicklyβ‘β‘ Stord is really worried that there will be more cases.
"Where's Anderson!"
After calling for a long time, there was still no shadow of their forensic doctor, and after a short while, they heard Anderson's footsteps, still carrying something in his hand, "Boss, you call me." β
"Any other clues?"
Lestrade is not a forensic/medical examiner after all, and he needs some professional information.
"Yes, yes, the murderer doesn't seem to be a professional, you see that although the murderer can cut off Bill Moulton's trachea with one knife, but cutting off his right hand is very layman, and there are more bones and trachea on his wrists, so it can't be solved by brute force."
Lestrade crouched down and lifted the victim's right arm, Bill Moulton, with a gloved hand, numerous scratches, broken bones, and adherent flesh near the severed wrist.
In fact, the place where the broken arm is broken can only be described as a blur of flesh and blood.
"Can you determine what the murder weapon is?"
"Not only do we know what it is, but we also find it." β
Anderson took out an evidence bag from the box in his hand, and inside was a dagger with blood stains on it, and Lestrade raised an eyebrow and asked Anderson where it came from. Anderson sighed and said, "It was found a hundred meters away from the victim, Mr. Bill Moulton, whether the murder weapon has fingerprints or not needs further investigation, but ......"
"But there should be nothing wrong with the murder weapon."
Lestrade took a sentence, such a location and such a time was found, there were blood stains on it, and it was also consistent from the knife marks, and Lestrade really couldn't find any other explanation besides the murder weapon.
Anderson nodded, he thought the same way, there weren't so many coincidences, didn't they.
"The murderer's methods are more cruel, I hope this case can be solved quickly, Anderson brought your people in to re-examine the scene, and you must not let go of the slightest clue."
Lestrade turned and waved at the forensic/medical team standing there for further examination, he didn't want to wait until the scene was destroyed to remember that something hadn't been found.
"Did Donovan find the surveillance camera that the killer entered the scene?"
"I'm applying to the top, but I think the hope may be slim, the sewers here are well developed, and if I were a murderer, I wouldn't have walked in from the open. The main thing is that the end of this alley has just been checked, and the surveillance cameras were removed and renovated three days ago. β
Donovan is not wrong at all, they have not met someone who escaped using the sewers, and if the surveillance camera in the back did not have it, the murderer had many ways to escape.
"Send someone to look for clues in the sewers, and ask the residents in this vicinity if they heard any movement last night, or if they saw any suspicious people in the vicinity, since the murderer can escape, he should be familiar with the terrain here."
This is not like an unpremeditated murder, and Lestrade believes that the murderer chose a target before committing it, and that he had either been from the neighborhood or had stepped on it.
"Yes, I'll arrange for manpower right away."
Donovan picked up his walkie-talkie and began to arrange the task given by Lestrade, who took off his gloves and rubbed his forehead, looked at the crowd watching from the edge of the alley and sighed, he went to ask the poor young lady who was frightened when he found the body, and see if she could give any other information.
The frightened girl sat in the police car, draped in an orange towel, shivering in the early morning of August, and Lestrade brought a cup of hot cocoa from his subordinate and stuffed it into the young lady's hand.
"Drinking some cocoa will make you relax a little."
"Thank you...... Thank you. β
The girl still looked frightened, and she lowered her head and silently sipped the hot cocoa in her cup.
"This young lady does not know if you recognize the deceased Mr. Bill Moulton?"
When Lestrade said the name, the author's body trembled visibly as the girl who found the body in the police car, shook her head violently and said, "I'm sorry Mr. Policeman, I don't know her." β
If she had lied quietly, perhaps Lestrade would have believed it, but it was a pity that her expression betrayed her, and the girl must have known this Mr. Bill Moulton.
"He's a life anyway, and if you have any clues, tell us about them, and Scotland Yard will thank you."
Lestrade thought that the girl should know this person, but for various reasons deceived them, he did not force/persecute the girl, but said that if the girl knew something, he would sue them, and Lestrade emphasized that it was a life.
When Lestrade turned to leave, the girl suddenly grabbed the corner of his coat, and the girl lowered her head and was silent for a while and muttered, "That person...... Bill Moulton ...... Everyone was saying that it was great that he was dead. β
Lestrade turned around and asked suspiciously, "Why do you have this idea?" Everyone? Who are you? β
"Everybody's ...... It's the people in the neighborhood, because, because Bill Moulton wasn't a good guy, he ...... He's a teacher, and he also likes to bully people, and everyone hates him. β
The girl said a lot intermittently, and Lestrade raised her eyebrows, this is amazing, it is the first time he has seen that many people are happy because of the death of a person. He said solemnly to the girl, "Thank you for your cooperation, young lady, you don't know how much you have helped us because of your words." β
Anyway, it's a kind of direction, thief? Bullying? It is very hateful, which means that he should have many enemies, so the social relationship is complicated, and everyone can be his murderer.
Lestrade had his men in the care of the young lady, and beckoned to find Donovan, who might have checked the Scotland Yard archives to see if there were any records of Mr. Bill Moulton.
"Donovan go and find out what the people around here have about Mr. Bill Moulton's death, and perhaps we can find out a lot of interesting things, and do you think it makes sense that a thief who hates him by his profession took his hand?"
If it is a thief, he usually steals things with his own hands, and the murderer is not considered a ...... What about a warning, or a punishment?
βWhatοΌβ
Donovan looked at Reestrade in surprise, her boss had just said something, she needed to take a break.
Stealing other people's property, theft.
A right hand placed in a glass enclosure had such a passage taped to it.
