Chapter 107: Christmas is coming
"Aragog is my friend, and I'm not good enough to be like this when he just died. Hagrid said sadly.
"Hagrid, the dead are dead, but the living will continue to live. I think Aragog would be happy in heaven if he knew he could help you. Besides, I think Dumbledore took a lot of risks by keeping you behind. At least once you've cleared your name, you can avoid anyone thinking that Dumbledore is harboring criminals," Ryan admonished, patting Hagrid on the back.
"You're right, I shouldn't have to worry about myself. Dumbledore was a good guy and helped me a lot, and I couldn't trouble him anymore. Hagrid said solemnly after thinking about it.
After a few teas, Ryan and Hagrid said goodbye, and when they went out, each had a pocket full of Hagrid's homemade milk candy.
"Big spiders that eat people, I don't know why Hagrid raised those things. It's good to be dead now. Ron commented on the way.
"It's not a good thing to say, after all, Hagrid is our friend. Harry said with a frown.
"It has nothing to do with whether Hagrid is a friend or not. Ryan said. "As far as I know, Ron's twin brother went on adventures in the Forbidden Forest when he was in the second grade, and I think there aren't many students who love adventures like this, but there are still a few. If you think about it, the eight-eyed spiders like to eat people, what would happen if they met these eight-eyed spiders? So I think it's a good thing that the eight-eyed spiders disappeared from the Forbidden Forest. ”
"That's right. There was silence for a moment, Harry said. "Who do you think can kill so many spiders in one go?"
The question sparked a discussion among the three of them, and in the end, Harry and Ron agreed that it was a passing fire dragon who killed the spider in the middle of Ryan's efforts. The reason for this was that Hagrid said he had found many traces of fire. And if it is a dark wizard, they will not give up the expensive venom and use fire to kill the giant spider.
The next few days were peaceful, but a week before Christmas, a team of members of the Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Law Enforcement arrived at Hogwarts.
They went to Hagrid's cottage and Myrtle's bathroom, and finally went to the headmaster's office.
The classmates were privately talking about what these people were doing, but they didn't guess until they left.
Two days later, the notice posted in the school cleared everyone's doubts. The notice stated that Hagrid had been banned from using magic because of a serious suspicion in a murder case. Now that he was found innocent in the murder, there was a miscarriage of justice from the Ministry of Magic at the time.
The Ministry of Magic is very efficient, it's completely different from the situation where Harry encountered the Dementors in his fourth year. Ryan thought it might be because Dumbledore knew through his journal and memories that it was Voldemort who had reported Hagrid. Plus now Hagrid has found conclusive evidence (the remains of the eight-eyed spider) and witnesses (myrtle).
Unlike the fifth grade of the original book, Dumbledore's prestige is now very high, and the Ministry of Magic must respect Dumbledore. The people who caused the misjudgment had nothing to do with the current magic, and most of them had even died. This kind of reversal will not affect the authority of the Ministry of Magic, and even the proper publicity can create an image of the Ministry of Magic as upright and corrective when it knows its mistakes. So the Ministry of Magic naturally has a green light in this matter.
After seeing the notification, Ryan and Hermione took a moment to congratulate Hagrid (Ryan and Hagrid have a good relationship, after all, everyone wants to be close to a good person with a simple personality. )
Looking at Hagrid's happy smile and the mental outlook that seemed to be ten years younger, Ryan suddenly felt that it was a good thing to take out Aragog. After all, the Eight-Eyed Spider caused great trouble to the Forbidden Forest and Hagrid when it was alive, but once it died, all problems were solved.
A few days later, in the second week of December, Professor McGonagall came over as usual to collect the list of students who had stayed on campus for Christmas. Ryan signed the list because his parents said they were going to ski in the Austrian Alps for their fifteenth wedding anniversary, and Ryan decided he should stop being a light bulb.
It seems that the search for the treasure that Nick said can only go for the summer vacation, and Ryan has some regrets. However, Dave also happened to inform him that everything he needed would be ready by Christmas, and Ryan thought it was a good time to take advantage of the lack of people in the school to take out the basilisk in the secret room.
A few days later, Ryan went to Hagrid to help him master some simple spells, and showed off his cooking skills when he missed a meal (at least better than Hagrid, the Assassin heritage was all-encompassing, including cooking in the wild). And the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance also has medicinal food cooking).
With his cooking skills, Ryan uses the excuse of cooking something from his hometown to eat. Smoothly took four or five roosters from Hagrid, and kept them in the Wanjie grocery store.
Finally, the semester ended, and a silence as thick as snow on the ground enveloped the entire castle. Ryan found out that Gryffindor had a lot of classmates left, in addition to Harry, who was bound to stay every year, there were also a few Weasley brothers, because this year the Weasleys were going to Egypt to see Bill, and they decided not to go with them, so as not to cause financial pressure on the family.
The dawn of Christmas came, the weather was cold, and it was white everywhere. Ryan woke up early that morning, the dorm room was empty, and the roommates had gone home for Christmas.
After getting out of bed, Ryan found that the gift had been placed on the floor at the head of the bed. The parents gave a Swarovski crystal ball and a postcard from Salzburg. Harry gave him a copy of the Encyclopedia of Common Magic, and the Weasley twins sent a large box of candy, but Ryan planned to figure out what it was before eating it, suspecting it was the Weasley brothers' test item. Ron gave another copy of "101 Spells for Home". Could it be that he was a nerd in the eyes of Harry and Ron?, Ryan thought.
Hagrid's gift was a big chunk of fudge, and after Ryan learned that Harry and Ron had received the same gift, he knew that Hagrid must have made a large pot in one go and shared it among his friends.
The most valuable gift came from Hermione, which she copied from Professor McGonagall in Transfiguration notes from her student days. Sure enough, the top students will get preferential treatment from the professors. Fortunately, Ryan gave a hand-copied copy of Professor Sprout's herbal notes this time, and it was not rude.
At the Christmas dinner at Hogwarts, everyone ate with gusto. Because there are very few people staying on campus, the empty auditorium is even more grandiose. Not only were there a dozen Christmas trees covered in silver frost, and thick friezes of mistletoe and holly crisscrossed on the ceiling, but there was also enchanted snow, warm and dry, falling gently from the ceiling.
The professors were also happy, and Dumbledore led them in singing a few of his favorite Christmas carols, and Hagrid's voice grew louder as he poured glass after glass of eggnog. Percy didn't notice that Fred had cast a spell that made the words on his prefect badge "", and stupidly asked everyone what they were laughing at. Draco taunted Harry on a daily basis, and was then scolded back. Everyone is happy.
Ryan ate as much as he could, as there was a big consumption exercise waiting for him in the evening.
