Chapter 606: Prelude
At 11 a.m. the next morning, Ryan put down a newly made Fireball Ring and heard a commotion coming from downstairs. Through the glass, they saw Harry, Ron, and Ginny standing in a well-dressed formation in the sunlit courtyard, ready to greet their guests.
"Luckily, we have important things to do, so Mrs. Weasley didn't have anything on our plate. Harry, they've been busy for the past two days. Looking at Harry standing in the courtyard, Hermione said with some rejoicing.
This morning, the courtyard of the Burrow appeared to everyone in a neat manner that had never been seen before: the rusty crucibles and old rain boots that usually littered the steps of the back door were gone, replaced by two newly planted winged shrubs in large pots, one on each side of the door. Although there is no wind, the leaves dance lazily in a mesmerizing, microwave ripple effect. The chickens were locked up, the yard was cleaned, and the nearby garden was trimmed and decorated. It's all about Mrs. Weasley and Harry's labor.
For security reasons, the Order of the Phoenix and the Ministry of Magic have placed a lot of security spells on the Burrow to ensure that no one can come directly to the Burrow with magic. So it wasn't until several minutes later that Ryan saw Mr. Weasley smiling and carrying heavy luggage into the courtyard with two men. After that, Fleur rushed up and hugged the female guest. It seems that the guests who came today should be Fleur's parents.
Fleur's mother is a beautiful blonde woman in a leaf-green robe, at least in terms of charm. And Fleur's father is indeed not as charming as his wife. He was a head shorter than his wife, chubby, and had a pointed little black beard. However, he seems to have a good temper. After entering the courtyard, he politely kissed Mrs. Weasley's face.
A series of mutual greetings followed, but it was not known what was going on, but Mr. Weasley laughed nervously after Fleur's mother said a word, so that Ryan could hear it upstairs. But Mrs. Weasley glanced at him and immediately fell silent, with an expression on his face that looked like he was sitting on the edge of his friend's bed.
Soon everyone walked into the Burrow, and Ryan withdrew his gaze and went about his business. In addition to making a batch of necessities for a war that could break out at any time, he now had to write a letter to Professor Dumbledore asking for his help.
After everything was taken care of, it was time for lunch, and after going downstairs, Ryan came into contact with the Delacul family for the first time today. The atmosphere at the table was even more lively after the addition of Ryan and Hermione, because Ryan and Hermione spoke French as fluently as their mother tongue, and they helped to translate and make it easier for everyone to communicate. In particular, it was Mr. Luo Zhen who communicated with Ryan in French before, which made the French of the two people with a Parisian accent make the Delacour family feel very cordial.
Since Fleur helped Bill stop the spell during the last evacuation of Harry, the Weasleys' attitude towards her has changed a lot, such as now that they have accepted Fleur as their family. This also makes the meeting between the two families today seem very harmonious.
"Thank you very much for your wedding gift. At the end of lunch, Fleur and Bill solemnly thanked them that Ryan had given them a pair of large porcelain dolls with a slap, but the porcelain dolls were not decorations, but alchemical golems. As soon as the mana is entered, the golem will become an identical person to the user, helping the user to lure enemies away or do something else.
Although this feature can only be used once a day, it only lasts for five minutes each time the golem transforms into a ChΓ©ng RΓ©n form. But for Charlie, who had seen countless treasures when he worked at Gringotts before, he knew very well how precious such alchemical products were. That's why he came over to thank him for it.
After lunch, Ryan soon discovers that the Delacul family are delightful guests and happy to help others. They were happy with everything and actively helped with the wedding planning. From the seating arrangements to the bridesmaids' shoes, Mr. Delacour said in French, "It's so cute!"
Madame Delacour was also a master at housekeeping spells, wiping the oven clean in the blink of an eye. Hermione followed her and Mrs. Weasley in an attempt to learn a hand. Gabrielle followed her sister like a little tail, trying to help a little while chattering in French, which made the atmosphere in the room much more lively.
But after everyone was crammed into the room, the house seemed a lot smaller. In order to avoid running into other people, Ryan could only carry his alchemy table and run to the shed. A few minutes later, Mr. Weasley, who was thought to be causing the trouble, was also kicked out of the house and into the shed.
"Ryan, you're here too. Mr. Weasley, who was about to run to the shed to hide himself, watched in surprise as Ryan opened the door and divided a ball of liquid the size of a football suspended on the alchemy circle into several crystal bottles reinforced with metal.
"To be honest, I think you should take a good break, and some work won't be okay for a few days. It was supposed to be a time to relax, but I've seen you busy since you came to the Burrow. After watching Ryan finish filling the potion, Mr. Weasley persuaded him that he had barely seen Ryan have had a break in the past few days.
"Nothing, Mr. Weasley. Ryan said, corking the crystal bottles. "Actually, it doesn't put much pressure on me. Besides, I'm sure I'll stop working tomorrow, because I'm still going to rehearse a little as Professor Lupin's best man. β
The main reason that kept Ryan busy these two days was that the lack of a Potions Master after Snape's defection caused some problems with the Order of the Phoenix's potion supply. Ryan can only help to make up for these shortcomings.
"I'll help you. Mr. Weasley took the initiative to walk over to Ryan, "Although I only got an A on the potions in the exam, it's still okay to help you with the raw materials when making these common potions." β
That night, Ryan and his group of young men once again set up a tent and slept in the living room. Charlie also returned from Romania in the afternoon, and this wedding was the most in several years that the Weasleys had been there.
"I heard that on the day of the wedding, Miramand's magic tent would be used, and I have seen that tent, and it is simply beautiful. When the young men had all gathered in the tent, Ginny said in a slightly agitated tone. "And, of course, thank you Ryan. The set of gold and silver cutlery you lent us enough for everyone in the wedding was also fantastic, and Bill told me that it was more elaborate than the elves made. β
"It's a pleasure to help you. Ryan smiled, so many cutlery from the Lord of the Rings world before. The dwarves are much better at their craft than the elves of this world.
The next day was Harry's birthday, and Ryan pulled Hermione into the kitchen and placed their gift on top of a pile of presents. "Sorry, Harry, time was a bit tight, so I was a bit rushed to prepare your presents. Hope you enjoy this stuff. β
"Isn't this too precious?" Harry opened the small box and found that it contained a thumb-sized embossed gold lion brooch with a number of rubies.
"It's not jewelry as you think it is. Ryan said. "I made it to match the headband I gave you two days ago, and it protects your brain and soul to the maximum. β
"Thank you so much. Harry said very sincerely, solemnly placing the brooch in his breast pocket. "After taking the headband you gave me in the past two days, I feel that after falling asleep, my brain doesn't feel as empty as before, and I don't have nightmares anymore. β
"It's good that thing works. Ryan said, "But I suggest you take it with you on a regular basis, the headband is woven with several magical metals, and it won't be easily damaged even if you wear it every day." β
In the evening, Harry's birthday party started on time, and there were so many people that a few tables were put together in the garden. Fred and George magically conjure a large number of purple lanterns that hang above the heads of the guests. The lantern flashed with a dazzling and striking number: "17". Ryan and Hermione, on the other hand, spewed purple and gold banners from the top of their wands back-to-back, hanging artistically from trees and bushes.
Mrs. Weasley prepared a huge golden snitch-shaped birthday cake for the birthday party, and there were also guests who made a special trip to the party, such as Hagrid, Lupin, and Tonks.
"Don't worry, I've already tried on clothes this afternoon, and I promise that when I be your best man tomorrow, I will definitely bring out your temperament. Ryan said to Lupin, who was sitting next to him.
"That's good, I hope I can give Tonks a perfect wedding this time, I still owe her too much before. Lupin said.
