Chapter 42: The Final Hurdle Begins
Ryan asked Harry as he ran, "What happened, why did you jump up and startle us?" โ
"I suddenly remembered something. Harry said. His face turned pale. "We have to go to Hagrid right away. โ
"Why?" Hermione gasped and asked, trying to catch up with him.
"Don't you think it's a little strange?" said Harry as he hurried down the grassy slope, "Hagrid wants nothing more than a dragon, and a stranger happens to have a dragon egg in his pocket? How many people walk around with dragon eggs all day? You know, it's against wizarding law! Don't you think they're lucky to find Hagrid? Why didn't I think of that before?"
"What the hell do you want to do?" Ron asked breathlessly, but Harry didn't answer his question as he ran across the field toward the forest.
They met Hagrid at the door of Hagrid's hut, who was doing housework. After some questioning, Harry learns that Hagrid once played cards with a suspicious person to win the dragon egg. Even under Harry's questioning, they learned that the three-headed Louwe's greatest weakness was that he would fall asleep when he listened to music. And Hagrid, when drunk, was induced to tell the suspicious guy about this weakness.
Harry then headed to the castle, and Ryan had to follow. Once in the cold foyer, Harry stopped.
"We need to tell Professor Dumbledore that there are suspicious individuals who have been given a way to subdue Lowe. He said. But it was clear that no one knew where Professor Dumbledore's office was.
At this point, Professor McGonagall appeared, and Harry stepped forward to express his concern and warning. Professor McGonagall didn't believe him, though, and told Harry that although Professor Dumbledore wasn't at school, the Philosopher's Stone was perfectly protected and he didn't need to worry.
After Professor McGonagall leaves, they encounter Professor Snape, who is then warned.
Harry then tried to monitor the room where Lowe was being held and Professor Snape, but was stopped by Ryan. After all, as a first-year student to spy on the professor and the forbidden place that is expressly forbidden to go, even if he really finds something wrong, he has no power to stop it. Instead, it may cause unnecessary damage or surprise the snake. Not to mention that as a professor, he has countless excuses and spells to break away from or dodge students, and mere surveillance is useless.
After listening to Ryan's reasoning, Harry had to abandon his immature plan.
In the end, Harry decided to take out the Philosopher's Stone before it was stolen and let the thief of the Philosopher's Stone pounce.
Ryan expressed extreme admiration for Harry's empathy of Sima Guang's smashing cylinder. Think it's a good way to get the most out of the least cost, so you can give it a try.
However, Hermione and Ron objected because the idea was too dangerous to turn into an all-out expulsion.
Ryan persuaded Ron and Hermione at this time: "It's not a question of expulsion or not, it's about the peace of the entire wizarding world (Speaking of which, Ryan was covered with goosebumps from this statement, but he still didn't change his face and continued), and the life of our friend Harry is definitely more important than going to school. And we are here to protect the school property, and the professors will not expel students for this reason. โ
"We?" asked Harry, somewhat surprised.
"Of course. Ryan shrugged, "If we can watch you go on an adventure alone, you should also give us a share of the credit for saving the world." โ
Hermione and Ron nodded in agreement.
"Thank you, thank you. But I don't think my invisibility cloak can fit four people. Harry said with some excitement.
"You don't have to worry about that. Ryan said, "I just learned the Illusion Charm a while ago, so I should be barely able to use it. So your invisibility cloak is enough to fit three people. โ
Now that you've made up your mind, it's time to prepare. After dinner, a few people avoided others and began to make various preparations in the corner of the common room. In fact, the people in the academy have been paying little attention to Harry lately, which has also made it easier for them to prepare.
Then their corner became quiet, and no one was interested in talking, except that Hermione could be heard reciting some incantations.
Finally, it was past nine o'clock, because everyone was very tired after the exam, so they went back to the dormitory to sleep. In the end, only Harry and the four of them were left in the common room.
"Now you can take the cloak of invisibility. Ron said. Harry ran upstairs to get the cloak. Ryan, on the other hand, took out a rough-made canvas arm from his schoolbag and tied it to himself. The strap was topped with two stuffed canvas pouches and a row of small glass bottles.
"When I first received my acceptance letter at Hogwarts, I thought that training wizards in a witchcraft school would require a lot of combat and adventure just like in the Dungeons & Dragons card game, so I did this. As a result, I didn't expect that the wizarding world was no different from the world of ordinary people. โ
Ryan said to Ron and Hermione, who were watching dumbfounded, as he adjusted his belt.
Harry came down from upstairs and was stunned when he saw Ryan's dress. After that, he took out the invisibility cloak.
"We'd better put on the Cloak of Invisibility here and see if it can cover all three of us - if Filch sees a pair of feet walking on the ground on its own-"
After Ryan was sure that there was no problem, Harry and the three of them walked in front with invisibility cloaks, and Ryan released a phantom charm on himself and followed them five or six meters behind.
After going out, because today is going to be a big thing. So everybody was nervous, they thought that every statue, every dark shadow, could be a professor or a filch on the night patrol.
On the way they met Lady Loris, who seemed to see Ryan. However, perhaps due to the effect of the illusion spell, Lady Loris did not notice that anyone was there. He just turned his head to look at it, and then lay down again.
Later, at the staircase of the corridor on the fourth floor, Peeves of the greatest crisis appears. Thanks to Harry's wit, he mimicked the voice of Barrow the Bloody and scared Peeves away.
But Ryan felt that as a Hogwarts elf, he had been with Barrow the Bloody for more than a few hundred years. There is no way that Harry Potter's improvised camouflage voice could fool it. I guess this was instructed by Professor Dumbledore before, after all, in this school, the only one who can command the Grimace is the Headmaster.
Getting rid of Peeves, a few seconds later, they were outside the four-huddled hallwayโthe door had already opened a crack.
It seems that even though they had already made the decision to take the Philosopher's Stone in advance, they were still a step too late. After all, it was much easier for the professors to walk in the castle after curfew than for them to come on the sly.
