Chapter 3 Sword - Swift Feather
In the communications room of the Royal Liber Palace, a dark-haired teenager holds an earpiece.
"Hey, is this Brother Cassius, I'm Lane. Sorry to bother you so busy. β
"It's okay, I've just finished my inspection, and I'm lazy in the office." Cassius's voice was as hearty as ever, "What the hell is the matter that asked you to call through the palace line." β
"Actually, it was Mr. Yun who sent a letter."
"Oh, isn't it that the matter between your kid and Yaniras was known by the teacher, and it is wrong to step on two boats, but it seems that there is a fourth boat in three boats? Anyway, you kid has to pay the price. Cassius smiled heartily.
"Senior brother, it's hard to dismantle." Li En had a bitter face, and the short-haired girl beside him smirked.
"You're still struggling? Let's say okay first, I won't help intercede. Cassius continued to fall into the ground.
"I didn't point at you." Li En muttered, "I'm ready to be beaten up by the teacher." β
"Then you're looking for me?"
"Actually, the teacher has something to say for Yanira to bring it to you." After ridiculing, Li En turned to the topic, "Let's take some time out of your busy schedule." β
"Bring me a message," the communicator fell silent, "I see, I'll look at the schedule and give you a letter in a moment." β
"Okay." Communication hangs up.

The scorching sun scorched the floor of the martial arts arena, and where Rien and Yaniras waited for Cassius.
"Goo, goo, goo~" Li En drank a bottle of ice water in one go, squinted his eyes and let out a comfortable snort.
"Hmm, hmm," Yaniras licked the ice cream intently with a happy smile on her face. The milk ice cream was sweet, and Yaniras smiled even sweeter, sweetening even the people who were watching her.
Lane tossed the empty bottle into the air and kicked it into the trash bin not far away.
It's a pity that the accuracy is slightly worse, it hit the frame and bounced to the side, seeing this, Li En couldn't help but scold: "It's wrong, it's really inconvenient to not be able to use internal strength, and I can't even control it." β
"I think it's a good opportunity." A middle-aged man with two mustaches walked into the martial arts arena, dressed in a green military uniform. He picked up the bottle and threw it in the trash.
"Senior brother." Rien and Anilath nodded to the visitor, who was Cassius.
"As our martial artists who practice internal strength increase, the internal qi will flow more and more freely, and we will use the internal qi consciously or unconsciously between our gestures. That's a good thing, and it's not a good thing. The good thing is that the internal qi will be better integrated with the body, and the bad thing you know is that after you can't use the internal qi or the internal qi is exhausted, your control over the body will decrease. β
"Senior brother, do you mean to let me take this opportunity to exercise control over my body?" Lane understood quickly.
"Not bad." Cassius nodded, "No matter what kind of martial artist it is, the body is fundamental, and control is an indispensable part of it. When you truly grasp your body, you also hold the key to reason. β
"Understood, I'll work in this direction." Lane heard, and listened.
"That's all for gossip." Cassius looked at Yanirath, "I guessed what you meant, and it's a great honor that the teacher still cares about me as an unsuccessful disciple." I'm not going to raise my sword anymore, though. β
Cassius is the first apprentice of "Sword Immortal" Yun Kawaii, and was included in "Eight Leaves and One Knife Stream" when he was a student at the non-commissioned officer school 20 years ago. After the careful teaching of "Sword Immortal" and the hard training of Cassius himself, he finally got the amorphous "Spiral" and passed it on, and the world called it "Sword Master".
At the end of "Hundred Days War", his wife Lena died, and Cassius abandoned the sword and stick while leaving the army, which "Sword Fairy" regrets to this day. So when he heard that Cassius had returned to the army, he sent his granddaughter to confirm whether he would take the knife again.
"Huh?" Hearing this answer, Yaniras let out an exclamation, "Why is that? Why do you want to abandon the knife when you have already returned to the army? Is it because you think stick art is better than swordsmanship? β
"No, I don't." Cassius glanced at Rien, who was watching the play, and turned his gaze back to Yanirath, "In my current position, stick skills are more suitable for me than sword skills - that's all. Rather than aiming at slashing enemies, the club focuses on defense, which can also be understood as 'guarding'. β
"Why, how can a knife not be a weapon for killing. And, even I have something I want to protect. "As a swordsman, as a guerrilla, but also as myself. Isn't it possible to say that you can't protect these with the swordsmanship taught by your grandfather? β
(I can't stand it anymore, I'm going to complain, it's really sad that the Japanese don't distinguish between swords.) οΌ
"Before, I had never been confused about the purpose of swinging my sword, but through this mutation, I have rediscovered the lack of strength, and if I continue like this, no matter how hard I try, I still can't stand alone, and it will even drag Li En back."
"I see." Cassius smiled bitterly, "Teacher, he is still as bad as before, Li En, you too, don't pretend to be there, persuade quickly." β
"Silly girl." Li En pinched Yaniras's face, "Senior brother is not talking about such a superficial thing, well, I can't tell, you want to know, just fight." β
"Fighting with you?" Arnelath tilted her head.
"Of course not, I can't show anything so deep right now, and my body doesn't allow for high-intensity fighting. Brother, I remember that."
"I'll arrange it, you wait a minute, I'll go and call him." With that, Cassius turned to leave.
"Ryne?" Yaniras became more and more confused.
"When it comes to the question of the knife, only the knife itself can answer. Your opponents, answer these questions perfectly. β
A short time later, Cassius led a young man in military uniform back to the martial arts arena. The black special military uniform is the symbol of a defunct department, and the sword in his left hand is the symbol of this man, who is the former head of the intelligence department, Colonel Aran Richard.
Pardoned by the Queen, he thought he was unworthy of returning to the army, and opened a private investigation company. That being said, it is only natural that the employees are all his old subordinates, the new intelligence department, which has a close relationship with the military. Of course, wearing that military uniform is purely Cassius's bad taste, should it be said that he is worthy of being the eldest disciple of "Sword Immortal", his heart is as bad as his eyes.
The reason why he was chosen as the opponent of AΓ±elas was because he himself was a student of Cassius and his weapon was a sword, and on the other hand, because his belief was "Guardian"!
Richard's moves are derived from the eight-leaf five-type "Waning Moon", coupled with his own perceptions, and fused into a unique knife drawing technique. During battle, it will swing with the breath of the opponent's attack at the moment, and attack with defense. The move and the "type" are perfectly matched, and the power is beyond imagination.
More importantly, Richard had only one reason to swing his sword - to protect his beloved Liber. This belief is integrated into the knife, which makes his knife so powerful.
It was the same with Cassius, who, in order to control his faith, put down his sword and opted for a stick that was more in line with his ways.
Yanirath, who understood everything, looked at the sword in her hand in a daze.
What are my beliefs? What is my reason for swinging my sword?
It's because I like it.,I like the knife technique.,I like the eight leaves of a knife flow.γ
With that in mind, I'm going to get stronger
Looking at Yaniras, who had entered a state of no one and no self, Cassius smiled slightly.
"Looks like it's time to give you something like that. I used to love knives - Sword and Feather. β

So, grandpa.
I think you knew from the beginning that Senior Brother Cassius had no intention of returning to kendo. However, through this letter from my grandfather, I rediscovered my sword.
Before, I only focused on speed and intensity. In fact, the most important thing is the "thought" that swings the sword for something, which is the so-called "soul".
Why I couldn't win against my grandfather before, now I finally see a little reason.
Maybe I'm an unsuccessful disciple, but I'll do my best in the future.
Also, I really like Ryne, so Grandpa, no matter what happens, I'll face it with him. If you want to beat him, even your granddaughter.
