At this point, there is not only a question, but what kind of state of mind is the Buddha saying, "Only by having no desires and no desires can we achieve enlightenment"?

In this case, why are people all over the world pursuing "enlightenment"?

To put it simply, "enlightenment" is a fantasy, isn't it?

No desire, no desire, no desire, no desire, no desire, no desire, no desire, many ridiculous three words,

Isn't the state of "enlightenment" a sign of selfish desires?

The world is selfish. Don't deny it, and you can't deny it. The guidance of seven emotions and six desires, and the deception of "enlightenment" all illustrate the selfishness of human beings.

So how can we break away?

How can I minimize my suffering?

Perhaps there is only one way ——— escape.

People are slaves of desire, the more desires, the more anxious people are, of course, if there is no desire, people lose the motivation to struggle, appropriate desire can motivate themselves to meet a better and more diligent self, pay attention to a moderation.

However, sensory stimulation can be addictive. For example, if you come back from a trip to Antarctica, you will never forget it, and you will often reminisce about the good times in Antarctica, so you will have the desire to go to Antarctica again. But if you don't have the money to go, this desire will turn into annoyance or pain. In fact, the sequelae of sensual pleasure is addiction, and all sensual pleasures are not fundamentally different from drug use, but the degree of stimulation is different. For those who are able to perceive this fact, the pleasure of sensory stimulation is no longer considered to be real pleasure. This happiness is like bait in a trap: the more you are satisfied, the stronger your desire becomes, and if you are not satisfied, your desire will burn you like fire and make you suffer. And in the end, the desire will inevitably be beyond your own ability to be satisfied, and then you will be deeply tormented by pain, unable to extricate yourself. All attempts to eliminate desires by satisfying them are to quench their thirst. Therefore, from a higher level of the whole, compared to the life of being held back by desires and struggling on the road of constantly satisfying desires, the pure happiness of detachment from desires without desire is the true happiness. If you define happiness as the joy of detachment from desire due to an insight into the after-effects of addictive pleasure, then the less desired, the happier – this is the joy of wisdom.

Many times, people's suffering comes from the process of pursuing desires, that is, if we have an unfulfilled desire, we need to give so that the desire can be realized, and then we have a source of suffering. When we enjoy the happiness of the fulfillment of our desires, if no new desires arise, we will enjoy being satisfied with the status quo, and if new desires arise, we will suffer because of the pursuit of this desire. Therefore, if we can achieve no desires and no desires, we will naturally not feel pain, but will be content with the status quo. Maybe we think about how painful it is to have no desires, and so many interesting things, but when we think about it, we don't have no desires. At the same time, wanting to achieve desirelessness is itself a desire of ours. How to achieve no desires and no desires, of course, is to satisfy all your desires first, have fun in time, and then slowly look down on everything, I think this is a process. It is very difficult to do without desires, and some people are afraid that they will not be able to do it in their lifetime.

The people of the secret realm are obviously very good at tapping into people's desires and enslaving them in this way.

What Wang Jian can imagine is that after being brought into the embassy in Chang'an City, the number of slaves and maids here has indeed increased.
