016 The so-called heirs
A long, painful, terrible scream, the diary spurted out a torrent of ink, Riddle waved his arms as if trying to grasp something, his body began to twist unnaturally, he let out a final scream of despair, Ginny's wand fell to the ground, an inexplicable strong wind swept through the stone chamber, blowing away the last vestiges of his existence, and he was finally dead,
"I seem to be missing a lot?" Snape asked,
"You're a death eater?" Lawrence hesitated but he asked anyway, he looked at the Dark Magic mark, Lawrence had to be very careful to see the faint flow of dark magic traces on it,
"I am, or maybe, I thought I was." Snape replied, he subconsciously touched his left arm, but it was obvious that he didn't want to talk about it, Lawrence didn't continue to ask, just silently returned the fluorescent azure potion to Snape,
Ginny not far away made a slight sound, Luna hurriedly walked over, Ginny opened her eyes, looked around in confusion, her eyes swept over the body of the basilisk, she trembled when she saw the broken diary, she was a little surprised when she saw Snape, she was a little relieved to see Lawrence, and when she saw Luna showing a deep sense of guilt, she gasped a few times, and then cried,
"Luna—I'm sorry, I—I cast a brute and memory spell on you, but—I swear I didn't mean to, I—" Ginny cried, Luna hugging Ginny and patting her on the back, "I attacked the other students, I think I'm going to be expelled—"
"I think it's up to the Headmaster to decide," Snape said, tossing the sword and diary to Lawrence, "we should get out of this place first."
The group returned to the mouth of the pipe, and Lawrence looked up at the dark passage, at which point Fawkes began to sing again, swaying his beautiful golden tail feathers,
"Can you?" Lawrence asked, "I mean, there are four of us, and you're hurt."
Fawkes sang proudly, which seemed to be no problem for him, so all four of them grabbed the warm tail feathers, and the golden ridge of light covered them, Fawkes flew up with them steadily, and they returned to the girls' bathroom on the second floor, where a ghost was waiting for them,
"You're still alive?" The female ghost asked,
"You're Myrtle?" Lawrence looked at the ghost curiously, guessing that she didn't know that she had died from the basilisk's magic eye.
"Oh, I am, someone asked me to pass on a message," said Myrtle, "and I want you to follow the Phoenix."
They left the girls' bathroom, Hogwarts was quiet, Fawkes led everyone in the dark corridor, the golden light flickered, they came to Professor McGonagall's office, the door was not closed, there were many people standing inside, Professor Dunbulido looked at them with a smile, Professor McGonagall's serious expression showed a rare obvious smile,
"Oh, my God, Ginny—" Mrs. Weasley screamed, and she jumped up from her chair by the fire and hugged Ginny tightly.
"So you saved her?" Mr. Weasley also rushed over and asked Lawrence,
"The three of us, the Professor, and Luna, to be exact," Lawrence replied, and Mrs. Weasley hugged him and Luna, who was obviously not used to being so enthusiastic, but she also seemed happy, and Mr. Weasley shook Snape's hand.
"Every one of us would be curious to know," Professor McGonagall said, "how did you do that?"
Lawrence begins to describe how they entered the Chamber of Secrets, from Riddle's plot and his resurrection, as well as his own sneak attack, Snape's protection, but he omitted the part where Snape was a Death Eater, how Luna successfully resisted the Barbarian Curse, the appearance of the Phoenix, Riddle summoned another young basilisk, and Gryffindor's sword reappeared, allowing him to slay the basilisk, and finally Snape destroyed the diary,
"I need to see the journal and the sword," Dunburidos said gently, he took two things from Lawrence's hand, he looked at the sword and placed it on the table, and after looking closely at the torn diary, Dumblido smiled inexplicably, "It's—"
"Few people know that when Voldemort was a student at Hogwarts fifty years ago, his name was Tom. Riddle," Dunbulido explained to the bewildered Weasleys, "it is clear that he opened the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago and asked Rubeus to frame it. Hagrid, and left this diary, I think Miss Weasley has been with it for a long time?"
"I found this in the book my mom bought me," Ginny whimpered, "I thought somebody forgot it, I kept writing into it, and it kept responding to me."
"Oh, Ginny, didn't I teach you never to trust what can think for oneself unless you can see where he hid his head," Mr. Weasley was stunned, "why don't you show us that diary?"
"I think this is a painful experience for Ginny, don't blame her anymore, I think she'll have to go to the hospital room to recuperate for a while," Deng Bulido said solemnly, "There are many more clever and good wizards who have been deceived by Voldemort, and few people can get away with Voldemort's persuasion."
"Severus, please go with Miss Ginny to the hospital wing, I think you should show Madam Pomfrey your injuries as well, and your stun spell on Harry is a little too strong," Dunbury said reproachfully, then he blinked, "Minerva, please inform the kitchen, the crisis is over, I think we can have a good celebration - of course, before the end of the semester, when the mandrake is ripe, we can have a bigger celebration—"
Snape grimaced and turned to leave, the Weasleys followed him with Ginny, Professor McGonagall nodded and left, leaving Lawrence and Luna in the office.
"Oh, you two, I think both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw will be rewarded with two hundred points for your brilliant performance," Dunburydo looked at them with a smile, "and I'm honestly surprised that Lawrence was able to receive Hogwarts' Special Contribution Award for breaking the secrets of the Chamber of Secrets—"
"Amazing courage, Miss Lovegood, you showed great courage to save your friend, Fawkes answered your call, how could you not be a Gryffindor?" Deng Bulido's bright blue eyes winked at Luna,
"Infinite wisdom is humanity's most precious treasure." Luna sang in a dreamy tone,
"Hahaha-clever, so clever, see? Lawrence?" "It's our choice to express our true selves, and that's more important than what we have."
"Snape chose to be a Death Eater," Lawrence blurted out, "In the Chamber of Secrets, we saw the mark on his left arm, but I didn't understand—"
"Oh, Lawrence," Dunburydo's smile faded slightly, "I'm glad you didn't mention it, I think you have some thoughts on that?"
"Riddle tried to persuade Snape," Lawrence said, "and if Snape had listened to him, we would all have died in the Chamber of Secrets."
"Snape came back to us at the end of the last war," Dunbulido said calmly, "He's a good locker, risking his life to do his job, and I'm sure both of you here will keep it a secret, and everyone may have a past they don't want to think about."
"Riddle says his ancestor was Salazar. Slytherin," Lawrence said, "so he was able to control the basilisk, and he saw me draw Gryffindor's sword, and called me a Gramffindor descendant, but I was a Muggle-born wizard, and Snape drew Gryffindor's sword, and I didn't understand—"
"Purebred bloodlines have always been a boring and pointless question, and I actually think—" Dunbulido said, stroking the silver-glittering sword on the table, "The so-called heirs are inherited from the will of the sages, not bloodline, and I am glad and honored to witness that the sword of Gryffindor is once again wielded by the two heirs who inherited his will tonight."
"I have another question," Lawrence saw that Dunbury nodded, so Lawrence continued, "Why didn't you tell the professors that there was a basilisk hidden in the secret room?"
"Because you're walking too fast," Dunburydo smiled and gave a strange answer, "I'm too old to walk fast, so I'm hoping to slow down and give my legs a little more rest."
"I don't understand." Lawrence said in confusion that there were so many things he found he didn't understand tonight,
"On the day we cracked the secret, I was killed by Lucius. Malfoy kicked out of school," Dunbury's blue eyes flashed sharply, "Professor McGonagall, who solves the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets, is likely to think of the victim fifty years ago, she and Voldemort were classmates and experienced the turmoil of that time."
"I have no doubt that when the time comes, she will join forces with the professors to crack the entrance to the secret room and enter the secret room to get rid of the basilisk," Deng Bulido showed a look of pride, "I am proud that the teachers of our school—well, at least the dean, are mentally prepared to sacrifice for their students."
"Fawkes's rebirth takes time, and once they enter the Chamber of Secrets, the professors are likely to be left without backup, and although they are not afraid of sacrifice, it is unnecessary." Deng Buliduo stroked the beautiful phoenix, "So I decided to leave the corresponding method, keep the mystery of the secret room secret, and wait for the time of the decisive battle."
"So I'm bad?" Lawrence asked, a little uneasy,
"Oh, no, even though your pace is fast, you've managed to cornering the killer by making a stupid move—" Dunbury laughed, "He released the basilisk head-on, and as you can see, in the school, Professor McGonagall can drive the whole school's armor to fight together, and even the stone statues can participate in the battle if necessary, the only problem is that the students must be protected first, and of course, Professor Flitwick's protective spell has succeeded in delaying time."
"The basilisk at school—?" Lawrence asked,
"Under the attack of the armoured armoured army that is not afraid of death, it is now a taxidermier, and I think that after today, the textbooks on strange beasts in England will be completely rewritten," Dunburydo quipped, "Hogwarts will have a rare specimen that is unique in Britain - and of course, its fangs and MONOCULUS will be preserved in case the mischievous students do something." (Note 1)
"We're not going to do that," Lawrence laughed, "we're pretty disciplined this year."
"Oh, of course, it's obvious when you see the current score of the House Cup, isn't it?" Dunbulido replied with a smile, and he stood up, "The only unfortunate one may be Gildero. Lockhart taught ......."
"Uh, what's wrong with him?" Lawrence asked, somewhat surprised, that it should be safe to follow Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick,
"According to Professor Flitwick's testimony, after the basilisk was defeated, he tried to claim the credit for himself, and he cast an amnestic spell on Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick, I must say—" Dunbulido gave a strange expression, "Professor Flitwick was a duel champion when he was younger, and he ended up being injured by his own spell, and I'm going to visit a few of the people who were injured in this incident in the hospital room now."
"Harry wouldn't have looked good at Snape when he saw him." Lawrence laughed and said, "The stun spell hurts."
"Gee, that's not going to work." Deng Buliduo said with some distress, then he picked up the diary and sword on the table, walked to the door, turned to them, and said, "If I were you, I would go back to the saloon of my academy and tell your friends the good news that the crisis has been resolved."
Phoenix followed Dunbury out of the office, and as they sang in the hallway, Luna laughed, looking at her exaggerated expression, Lawrence laughed too,
"Great singing, isn't it?" Luna stopped smiling for a moment, and she said to Lawrence,
Lawrence was about to respond when another person broke into the office, it was Lucius. Malfoy, with his own house elves, looks furious,
"Where's Dunburydo?" Lucius. Malfoy asked angrily, followed by a house elf,
"The headmaster went to the hospital room." Lawrence replied that he had guessed that the source of Ginny's diary was made by the guy in front of him, but Lawrence thought that Dunbury should have a way to make him suffer,
"Hmph." Lucius. Malfoy didn't seem to like him calling Dunburidor 'Headmaster', and he snorted and rushed out, the poor house-elf only trying to keep up with him,
"Annoying fellow, he must have no friends, does he?" Luna said, "I don't have many friends, and Ginny is in the hospital room."
"yes, but I think," Lawrence said, "we're friends now, aren't we?"
"Oh?" Luna looked at him in surprise, then smiled again, "My name is Luna. Lovegood, some people call me a crazy girl."
"It's not easy to have a nickname in the first grade," Lawrence laughed, "My name is Lawrence. Rovand, Peeves call me the Kobold of the Weasley Twins."
